Three Towers Game

The double surprise left him frozen in place.

Is it really possible for someone to withstand the Balance Curse? Such a powerful figure as our commander means that no difficulty is insurmountable, right?

Devon, enduring immense pain, laughed and said:

”Hahaha, Commander, I can’t believe you’re really alive! This is incredible; you’re someone even a curse can’t kill!”

Wen Xishu bent down and began to use the energy core.

The energy core quickly connected with Elsa. Originally, Elsa felt that her strength was nearly depleted, but at that moment, it seemed as if her energy consumption had vanished.

While she didn’t feel overflowing with strength, it seemed like what she was doing no longer required physical effort.

[Item name: Energy Core.]

[Item level: SS+.]

[Item attribute: Allows a certain skill to lose its cooldown and energy consumption for a short period. (Note: Attributes may change when taken out of Deceit Tower.)]

With the energy core, Elsa’s healing could be unleashed infinitely for a short time.

The effect of this item—it’s uncertain what will happen once taken back to the Bunker, but if it doesn’t change much... it could be considered a concept-level weapon.

Could it allow the old Principal to punch infinitely? To unleash a finishing move as if it were a basic attack?

Wen Xishu said:

”Everyone, you’ve worked hard. Through your efforts, we earned seventy thousand tavern coins, and I believe this will greatly aid us. Moreover, we received an SSS rating, unlocking some story background, and we’ve learned the content of the next level.”

Wen Xishu was quite satisfied.

Although Colonel Devon did not trigger elevation evolution, and losing an arm caused his level to drop to D+, lowering his rank.

But overall, the team’s synergy has improved.

And once everyone saw that I was indeed alive, their favorability increased.

Both Cavendish and Elsa unlocked the prerequisite for elevation evolution.

Wen Xishu was overall satisfied.

Borg exclaimed:

”Our population...how did it become three?”

”We clearly had five people, right?”

Wen Xishu said:

”I told you, the curse can’t touch me. You should believe in your commander.”

Cavendish said:

”So, does that mean... if you summon another person, we won’t need to be abandoned?”

Wen Xishu nodded.

Elsa cheered:

”That’s great, that’s great, I don’t want to be separated from everyone.”

Colonel Devon said:

”Commander, you are truly our miracle and hope!”

At this moment, Borg realized his shallowness. The person before him not only resisted the curse but seemed to have modified some parameters.

This is truly remarkable.

He didn’t want to be abandoned either. In fact, his profession was almost only useful in specific scenarios.

Wen Xishu said:

”Next, I need to handle the tavern upgrade, and I want to tell you something—”

”The creatures you encountered in the second level were turned into mechanical beings. It seems to be based on a certain experiment. An experiment to resist the Balance Curse.”

”Making life no longer life, uploading consciousness to machinery. A scientist seems to be considering this method to avoid the Balance Curse.”

”He couldn’t experiment on humans, so in a certain area, he started experimenting on animals. The result was...these animals became Mechanical Life.”

”The scientist was able to do this because of the energy core. The energy core made a certain technology require no energy consumption, resulting in mass mechanization of living beings...”

”The process is quite complicated, but that’s the end result.”

”What’s interesting is we might even recruit this scientist, if we’re lucky.”

Elsa was puzzled:

”Why...would recruiting him be considered lucky for us?”

Wen Xishu said:

”He can use his power, and then rely on the core, to transform us into Mechanical Life that doesn’t count as population.”

”However...this is undoubtedly an extremely bold choice, and I’m not quick to make such a decision.”

The entire Balance Curse story has partially surfaced.

Wen Xishu said:

”We need to clear more levels and achieve more SSS ratings to piece together the complete truth of the Balance Curse.”
