Three Towers Game

In the end, that city resembling a mirage... appeared in their sight.

What even Wen Xishu found surprising was...

Wind City was a bit too red.

So red it was terrifying. For some reason unknown, the sky over Wind City was blood red, and the entire perimeter of Wind City was shrouded in scarlet mist.

This scene scared the few Longxia elders walking with them out of their wits.

”Once, before the God was enslaved, I had the luck to communicate with Him. He said that only the strongest monsters have such scarlet aura.”

”Monsters that can emit this scarlet aura require even God to use His real skills.”

”It’s terrifying. Even Deep City and Jiangcheng combined don’t have so much scarlet ghost qi...”

”If this Wind City is a sanctuary, it’s certainly a lie, isn’t it?”

”Yes, how many monsters must there be gathered to let such a blood-red aura rise to the sky, even turning the sky red.”

The elders spoke one after another, with despair in their tone. Wind City was, so to speak, their last hope.

But this Wind City seemed far scarier than any Deep City, Jicheng, Mo’en City, or Jiangcheng.

Inside, it’s probably full of monsters that can emit scarlet mist.

This kind of place could certainly not be a sanctuary.

But Wen Xishu said:

”Uncles, don’t panic yet... I’m saying, what if, just if, there’s a possibility that the monsters in Wind City are actually good? That they stand on the side of humans?”

Wen Xishu also did not expect a beautiful Wind City to have ended up like this.

Yet his thoughts differed from the elders’. He thought—I mean, how many Red Houses did I encounter while in the Three Towers? Did I gather them all to Phoenix City?

So as the City Lord of Wind City, Wen Xishu was not worried about the monsters inside. He merely marveled at... how it turned out like this. Probably—

He would encounter many more existences similar to Tang Rui, Xiaoxing Xiaotong, and Jack Jennifer in the future.

His tower-climbing journey was still very long indeed.

”Are you crazy? Little brother, don’t go! We don’t know how much horror is hidden in this city... How could it be habitable for humans?”

Wen Xishu said:

”How about this, I’ll go and communicate. If you are worried, wait here for me, I’ll go and...”

Just as Wen Xishu was speaking—

A voice suddenly came from Wind City.

This voice appeared in everyone’s mind, not just Wen Xishu and the elders, but also all the Longxia People in the underground passage...

They all heard it.

For the Longxia People, that voice was familiar because they had heard it not long ago.

For Wen Xishu, the voice was equivalent to seeing a ghost, equivalent to a split personality.

”The gates of Wind City will open. Indeed, there are many powerful beings inside Wind City, but they are harmless. If you wish to take refuge in Wind City, you may enter. If you don’t trust us, you can leave.”

”But I must say one thing, since we’ve discovered you, it would be very easy to eliminate you, right?”

”There is only one chance, decide early whether to stay or leave.”

This was addressed to the Longxia People.

But Wen Xishu heard another sentence—

”Don’t come near Wind City. If you and I are too close, it could cause some things to undergo fission.”

Hearing his own voice inside his mind didn’t make Wen Xishu happy.

Because not long ago, he was celebrating that the underground bunker was not a Bunker.

But now, Wen Xishu heard from Wind City... his own voice.

Yes, the one communicating with Wen Xishu was indeed Wen Xishu from the future.

This voice bewildered Wen Xishu.

But soon, Wen Xishu also realized what was going on.

”How many questions can I ask?” Wen Xishu said then.

”Do not ask, let nature take its course. Because at the time, I was in your position, and the answer received was the same.”

Closed loop? Wen Xishu was a bit speechless.

”The next escape point is not far away, explore on your own. If you are dissatisfied with this future... then do your utmost to change it. But as far as I know, all changes after knowing destiny will deliberately fulfill destiny.”

”So, I won’t tell you what happens in the future... I don’t know if this is a broader scope of time imprisonment... At this moment, I indeed can recall what you’re doing now.”

”My memory tells me that outside Wind City, there I was, leading a group of Longxia People waiting outside Wind City for rescue.”

Logically, it’s indeed like this. If you encounter your future self... then what you are doing now, in your future self’s eyes—are actions he once took.

So when Wen Xishu tried to explore Wind City, the Wen Xishu in Wind City would recall—at this time, the past me tried to explore Wind City.

Thus, the Wen Xishu in Wind City had prepared early.

Wen Xishu said:

”Alright, no matter what, I won’t accept any of the futures I see. I will do everything possible... to ensure every node follows the outcome I think is best.”

The Wen Xishu in Wind City responded:

”That is good. Things are not as bad as you imagine, actually, the current result is not bad... but if I say too much, I might end up altering the past.”

For the current Wen Xishu, encountering his future self meant entering the future.

But for the future Wen Xishu, this moment equals the chance to change the past, to prevent certain tragedies by telling the current Wen Xishu certain things.

But the future Wen Xishu knew one thing clearly—this would accumulate the time causality, and once done, it might lead to changes occurring.

And the most skilled at manipulating time, at least in this story, is not him, Wen Xishu.

He’s worried that by saying certain things to his past self now, his intentions might be exposed... and the weakness will be known to Pisces.

Therefore, the future Wen Xishu chose not to say anything, only informing Wen Xishu where the next escape point was.

”Do your utmost, aim for what you believe, good luck, my past self.”

Wen Xishu heard this sentence.

He nodded:

”Will I meet acquaintances at the next node? Can you at least spoil that?”

The Wen Xishu from Wind City smiled:

”Yes, at the next node, you’ll meet someone you’re very happy to see. The time turbulence of Pisces is dangerous for most people, but for you and me... no, for me, we are variables ourselves. Some nodes are even quite interesting.”

”Go, your time is limited, rescue Sirius as soon as you can.”

Wen Xishu didn’t ask further, but instead, parted ways with the Longxia elders, heading towards the escape point where the next node was.
