Three Towers Game

This scene is actually somewhat terrifying.

Fortunately, at this moment, Wen Xishu and Horn could communicate freely.

”So, everything... is controlled by the Behavioral Norms Manual. Honestly, I didn’t expect that those who lose their forebrain would end up like this.” Horn was a bit amazed.

The environment in the rest area presented an absolute white, extremely simplistic. It was actually different from the external propaganda.

Those who have truly undergone forebrain removal can only live in such white cages. Thank heavens there are facilities like toilets here.

Otherwise, Wen Xishu couldn’t imagine how bad the smell would be.

As for those mansions and luxurious experiences propagated externally... they are all in the functional areas.

What functional areas do people who have lost their ability to think need?

Everything is just a facade by the Behavioral Norms Manual.

Looking at these people who once sought freedom but ultimately lost it, Wen Xishu lamented:

”What end can puppets have? Everything is reasonable.”

Horn said:

”It’s ironic; the most upper-class place in this world is essentially a massive flesh factory. It’s easy to get in here, there’s even no obvious guard.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Once you accept all the rules of this world... it’s assumed that there will be no one who breaks the rules. Since there will be no one breaking the rules, naturally, there’s no need to take any measures or preparations for that.”

”If everyone is good and follows the Behavioral Norms Manual, then theoretically, no one would be able to enter here. Especially not someone like us, intruding here.”

”Because it doesn’t conform to the norms. If the two of us were to implant the Behavioral Norms Manual now... the butterfly effect variables might be enough to gather all the Law Enforcers of the city, right?”

Horn and Wen Xishu chatted freely like this, they were also testing whether this place was truly safe.

In the rest area, everyone else was quiet. As if they didn’t hear anything.

Wen Xishu and Horn didn’t have any extra movements, just conversing. So if there was surveillance, it would see a group of people standing still, like a bunch of puppets placed in the room.

But there were sounds in the room, people having a conversation.

In an absolutely silent environment—

sounds often become piercing.

”Who... who is talking?”

Wen Xishu and Horn also heard a voice coming from a distance. It came from Room 1 in Zone 14.

The voice sounded a bit scared and uncertain.

Wen Xishu and Horn exchanged a glance. Horn sighed:

”It really is like this, this place is the safest in the world... theoretically, even the Law Enforcers are bound by the Behavioral Norms Manual.”

”So, this place is also a forbidden area for them. Naturally, as long as you can keep disguising yourself and don’t engage in destructive or overly abnormal behavior in the monitored area, you can hide well.”

At that moment, Wen Xishu made a bold decision:

”I am Yin Junchi’s friend. I came here to find his fourth prophecy.”

Wen Xishu raised his voice.

In the absolutely silent environment, the voice echoed like a massive sea current suddenly stirring in a calm deep sea.

After a long while, a voice spoke with some disbelief:

”You... you’re the teacher’s friend? How... how can I believe you?”

The second time they heard it, Wen Xishu and Horn were even more certain that the owner of the voice was a boy. The boy’s voice carried a hint of sobbing.

Horn could imagine the pressure this child must be under, hiding here.

Every day, he had to go to the work area, doing assembly line work. A slightly inappropriate action might bring fatal consequences.

Returning to the rest area, there was no one to talk to. What he faced were a group of ”puppets” with their forebrains removed.

They wore white uniforms, staring blankly ahead. Day after day, always the same.

And he could never escape from here because the outside world was even more dangerous.

But staying here, is there really a future?

Horn, who prided himself on having no emotions, was actually more sensitive than anyone:

”I’m sorry to keep you waiting. We can’t prove our relationship with your teacher... but the fact that we can come here and let you hear our voices should be proof enough, I think.”

”My name is Horn.”

Wen Xishu also said:

”My name is Wen Xishu.”

At this moment, that voice appeared again:

”You said your name is Wen Xishu? Really... that’s great, that’s great... the teacher mentioned you! I heard the teacher mention you!”

”Where are you? I’m coming to find you! I have something to give you!”

This city’s safest place is also the most regular, one can survive here, but the price is fear and loneliness.

Upon hearing Wen Xishu’s name, the boy seemed to instantly eliminate his doubts.

Because that name was only mentioned to him by the teacher.

Of course, it wasn’t just a coincidence that the fourth prophecy was related to Wen Xishu.

During nostalgia about the past, the teacher once said... each country has its own way to deal with the apocalypse.

The Island Country, Ji Country, Free State, Longxia... many countries are finding ways to deal with the apocalypse.

In a place called Jicheng, he benefited from the help of someone named Wen Xishu to escape an experiment.

And that experiment seemed to be Jicheng’s way of combating the apocalypse.
