Three Towers Game

But Horn already knew, it was freedom. Although he and Wen Xishu did not come from the same place, he could understand the metaphor, and blue indeed gave him that feeling.

Horn said:

”So it’s the same here... The sun here can only have one color. If a blue sun appears in the sky of this city, even if that word doesn’t appear, people’s inner shackles will break free?”

”I have doubts about this, but since we have chosen to do this, next we must find the child ’who has the future’ mentioned in the prophecy.”

Wen Xishu smiled and said:

”Isn’t that why you came to the industrial district?”

Horn whispered:

”Yes, that’s why I’m here.”

Wen Xishu understood Horn very well:

”The child who has the future is the child taken away by Yin Junchi in Prophecy Two, who became a painter.”

”Because the implant was removed, under Yin Junchi’s influence, this child successfully gained his own will and wanted to decide his own life...”

”So, he fits the description of ’having the future.’”

”Yin Junchi is dead, but indeed... In the stories I got, this child has always been missing. In fact, not just this child, but also the woman who was having an affair, and the boy who mourned his grandfather extravagantly, none of them were mentioned afterwards.”

”I also wondered, were they sentenced to death too?”

”Or did they hide? If they hid, where would be safe?”

Horn was slightly surprised. He knew Wen Xishu was very smart and in tune with him, but he didn’t expect such a level of understanding.

Wen Xishu continued to add:

”No one would dare come close here, and no one would question whether someone who’s had their prefrontal cortex removed... would have their own will.”

”In this world enslaved by order and rules, people only dare to look up here. But if I were Yin Junchi... an emotional novelist, I would certainly want to explore here and uncover the lie that gathers so-called superior beings.”

”So, if those who are considered the ’elite’ by this world aren’t the only ones living here, if the lowest... the out-of-control ones also live here.”

”If the blue sun rises from here—it would definitely be heart-wrenching.”

Horn exclaimed:

”The one who understands me is Wen Xishu. If the Ark weren’t too critical, involving millions of lives... I really would want to adventure with you.”

Wen Xishu smiled and said:

”Alright, we must first make a trip to the hospital.”

...

...

Two hours later.

When the sirens were approaching the hospital—

Wen Xishu and Horn had already left the scene.

However, due to successive crimes and the continuous removal of implants, the entire city had initiated a secondary alert and upgraded the situation.

So high-level Law Enforcers were also dispatched.

If Horn were still here, he would recognize this high-level Law Enforcer—Renault.

One of the super Ability Users of the Ark.

Renault opened the communicator:

”Nikola, Antoine, you two come as well. I sense something is off.”

Nikola was ranked fourth among Ability Users, Antoine was fifth, and Renault was third. The combat ability of the three was extremely strong, and they were all assigned to the Law Enforcer department, which was in stark contrast to the regular identities of people like Wen Xishu and Horn.

Their primary task was to ensure the city could operate normally and get through twenty-four hours safely.

After that, return to the Ark and become advocates of the new era.

Of course, what Nikola, Antoine, and Renault didn’t know was—that the concept the city had lost was freedom.

The three, devoid of freedom, would return to the Ark and become the captain’s slaves completely.

However, Renault, Antoine, and Nikola all enjoyed their roles as Law Enforcers and didn’t think about the lost concept.

Renault sensed something wrong.

Because this time, a doctor had been kidnapped.

”In a short period, there have already been three occurrences... A psychologist, a film column host, a writer, a doctor... these kinds of lowly, high-risk professions.”

”But in the first two instances, they didn’t make things difficult for these people, but this time they kidnapped the doctor.”

Antoine and Nikola arrived quickly.

Nikola obviously looked like a skinny person, with the image of a white drug addict.

Antoine was tall and powerful, clearly a good hand at physical strength, Renault appeared more mature and good at analysis.

”What’s the situation this time?” Nikola said, smoking.

Renault shook his head:

”What I simulated is a criminal showing some out-of-control tendencies during a psychologist’s diagnosis, then planning to go to the office building to find more clues...”

”They questioned two people in the office building, got the clues, then came to the hospital, but the hospital was not their final destination, and they took a doctor hostage to the next place.”

Nikola squinted:

”There are too many places to go, maybe they just took the doctor to treat someone, after all, everyone in this world follows the rules.”

”Doctors too, whether the patient should be treated or not, depends on the behavioral norms manual.”

Renault could also accept this explanation, but he said:

”Don’t forget, the captain assigned us here to ensure everything is foolproof, we better simulate a worst-case scenario.”

”And, we can’t contact the one called Horn.”
