Data-Driven Daoist

The book is officially live on Amazon KU and Kindle! This... feels EXTREMELY nerve-wracking. I mean, I do have a real-life job, but this is one item off my bucket list. Yes, it’s indie; yes, it isn’t on bookshelves the same way traditional publications get sold (though you can get the paperback on Amazon), BUT, this feels better than when I submitted my master’s thesis.

Thank you, all of you, for reading and commenting and theory-crafting and reviewing and for every piece of interaction you have done on NovelFire. If I didn’t have so many regular readers, there’s no way in hell I would have found the motivation to keep writing. My writing pace is nowhere near fast enough; many authors write full-time and can pump out seven chapters a week. I can’t with my full-time job, but I wish I could. If I could write for a living, then that would be a dream come true.

This publication may very well be an important step towards that dream. If it succeeds, I may have to become a full time keyboard-monkey feeding the anons online their daily neurotransmitters.

So again, thank you all for your support until now. To feed the all-powerful algorithm, I would appreciate any ratings or reviews (no purchase necessary) to help the launch! If you have Kindle Unlimited, check the book out there, and if you have a credit to spare, then listen to it on Audible. The narrators, John Joseph Rogers and Rylee Kuberra, did a phenomenal job! The cover was done by Ben Moran Studios... AND LOOK AT THE CRAB!

(V)╭•̀ﮧ •́╮(V):

The amazon has a new blurb. What do you think?

They called him trash. He wrote it down.

Demons slaughtered his family. By morning, the men who called it a tragedy seized what little his family owned. Even his last friend came at him with a knife. With nothing left to lose, he limped toward the gates of a prestigious immortal sect in one last gamble.

Instead, he stumbled into a civil war. The Stormy Reef Sect was tearing itself apart. Old-blood aristocrats and the reformist leadership suffocated one another into a stalemate one breath from breaking. And before any of that could matter, he slapped the faces of two young masters who wouldn’t forget.

By every law of cultivation, he should be dead.

The laws didn’t consider what he did for a living.

In his past life, he was Johan, a corporate warfare consultant who wrote eulogies first and lawsuits second. So what if he’s now a worthless reject in a body that wheezes climbing a flight of stairs? To him, any problem—mortal or immortal—is just another hostile takeover. He’ll bring algorithms to sword fights and liquidate every name on his growing list of death feuds. The final audit ends in either bankruptcy or the afterlife.

But first, he needs to lose some weight.
