The hivemind is conquering for me?

After lunch with Mindy, I had most of the day free. I took a chance for some ’me time’. My Mindspace was clear, except the stick and Zircon and no one accompanying me. It was a pleasant change of pace. I spent the day just walking around the College looking at things. Looking at other stuff. I even had a stroll down to the lake.

But with being on my own, it made me realise my enmeshed problem was still very much a thing. Other than my Psionic growth coming to a standstill at sixteen, the other reason I originally left home world was because of the fact the hive was doing hivemind shenanigans without realising. We were becoming co-dependent, becoming one.

This trip was supposed to be a chance to explore myself, but in the end I still cannot fathom spending time away from Orchid and Onyx. I need at least one bit of hive goodness near me at all times.

And it wasn’t even just the hive anymore, it seemed I had a genuine problem with attaching to people. I got attached too quickly and didn’t want to separate from them. Though I didn’t really see it as a true problem, as it was a problem derived from extreme luck and love.

Still, it was healthy to process the feelings while I was alone, as although I am still enmeshed, I know it’s what I want, not just a product of my surroundings.

During my self reflection stroll, I stumbled across the school market. There weren’t a lot of shops. A few outlets for specific things, and a couple of other restaurants I had yet to try ,as I was a die hard fan of Mary’s place and Millie had the best snacks. However, as I was walking I did spot a place that took my eye.

’Mmh, yes. I think I should.’

...

Twenty minutes later, I walked out of the clothing store with a hundred shirts of various styles and designs in a bunch of bags. There was seriously a conspiracy at this point. My tops kept on going missing and I swore I saw Orchid eating a piece of one the other day, but I was too far away to actually confirm that theory.

’One hundred. If I get down to twenty, they aren’t just ”Going missing.” Something is definitely happening and when that happens I am having a serious talk with them all.’ I thought sternly and felt the infinite Psionic devourer in my Mindspace move off its axis slightly at that thought.

I didn’t blame the stick either, as the thought of them using my shirts for naughty reasons had crossed my mind. Because other than Janine, I never saw any of my respective loves wearing them. I just didn’t know what else they could be using them for?

I was stumped.

”Credit for your thoughts, handsome?” A voice suddenly spoke next to me, startling me slightly. Turning to the blue skinned, blue horned female next to me, I smiled as I continued walking.

”Oh, Myu. What a surprise, nice to see you again. My thoughts? Oh, not much. Just wondering why all my clothes keep disappearing.”

”Aah! That’s why Valerica was wearing one of your shirts at the gym! We thought you gave it to her. Gotcha, you have clothing thieves? Not a surprise, you smell just so yummy. My best guess? They are taking your clothes when you put them in your laundry basket to get cleaned, sniff up all your yummy musk then feel guilty and hide them. Well, that’s what I would do anyway.”

I blinked in surprise. ’Was it that simple?’

”If they wanted to sniff my clothes, they could have just asked? I don’t get it, they sniff me all the time without hiding it, so why go through all this secrecy just to- You know what? I’m getting a headache thinking about it, I am just going to drop it for now... So, to what do I owe the delight of your company Myu?”

”Oh, we can get to that in a second, handsome. First as your close personal friend, I want to know how you are? Have you fully recovered from your stint in the medical ward?” Myu asked with a warm smile on her face.

I nodded my head and replied. ”Yes, I am fully recovered, thank you for asking.”

Myu then placed her hand above her chest and sighed out in relief. ”That is good to hear. You know, around the clique, some witnessed your battle. Apparently you won against thirty of your peers all on your own? As a race of beings that seek out powerful and strong mates, let me tell you, being able to do that has left pretty much all of us drenched at the thought of you doing that.”

”Oh, um... Thank you?” I said, unsure of how to further take that comment. Myu simply giggled at my reaction before taking hold of my arm.

”Speaking of things that leave me drenched, how is your end of our bargain coming along? If you need an extension for the end date due to your injury, I suppose I could take another down payment? You know, to ease the burden of collecting all these secrets I have for free~”

Hearing the subject change to something less mysterious, I perked up and smiled. ”Actually, my enhancement formula for you is well ahead of schedule.”

”What?” Myu asked, with a disappointed look on her face that I missed.

”Oh yeah, I had never experimented with Sepiidan DNA before. Your species is something else Myu. I mean, wow... I thought your ability to mate with pretty much anything was due to you having some sort of super uterus or something along those lines, but it’s so much more... Your entire DNA structure is so malleable. So welcoming to change, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen and trust me I’ve seen some shit... It opens up so many pathways for future experimentation and research.”

I then turned to Myu, who was pouting, so I asked. ”Is something wrong? By my calculations, it should be done in seven to nine days?”

Myu sighed before shaking her head. ”No, I am excited for that, I was just hoping it was delayed so I could try to give you head again.”

”Oh.” I simply replied before she continued while rubbing my arm.

”But with all my malleability I have a proposition. With you being a hunky mad scientist, if you ever need some Sepiidans to experiment on, all you have to do is knock me up and then you will have as many slaves to pick and choose from as I know with you, I would end up having multiple babies at once~ Just a thought, handsome.”

’Hmm. I had never considered that before... Breeding for test subjects... Nah, probably not a good idea. I’m pretty sure I would get attached to my kiddos and then I would be out of test subjects again. Best leave that decision making for older, wiser Apollo. Perhaps not wiser Apollo, just older.’

I then realised I zoned out for a moment and turned to apologise to Myu, but she had a devilish smile on her lips, clearly happy that I was thinking about what she just suggested.

Deciding to change the subject topic before things got awkward, I asked. ”So, I assume you have some information for me?”

Myu’s eyes narrowed predatorially as she smiled up at me before returning to normal. ”Yes, darling. I do. I am a Sepiida of my word. I have amassed gossip for the last three weeks since our last ’meeting.’ Would you like me to begin? Or should we have some pre gossip? Perhaps another one of those Psionic massages that had me orgasming for an hour straight after you left?”

I chuckled, I admired the Sepiida. She clearly knew what she wanted, I just happened to be it and, unfortunately for her, I already had two Sepidae on retainer. I wasn’t looking for more partners, especially married ones, Kathrine was the exception, as she burrowed her way into my heart through her mouth...

But that being said, I could work a carrot and stick with Myu. I was already giving her a great reward, but if she put in the extra mile, I wouldn’t be opposed to using my body to ’reward’ her like I did the other week.

”Perhaps afterwards? If your rumour gathering is extra good.” I said, causing Myu to blink in surprise, clearly not expecting my answer to be so agreeable.

”R-Really? I was just flirting, but if you are going to- Should we go somewhere private? Back to my home maybe?” She suggested and I immediately got goosebumps from her gaze. She was in hunt mode.

Not wanting to enter the lioness’ den, I suggested somewhere else. ”How about my lab? It’s private, secure and you can see the progress I have made? Plus I have some cookies from Millie I have stashed there as whenever I take them home, they mysteriously disappear, much like my shirts.”

Myu then nodded and held my arm closer to her body. ”Sure thing~ That sounds perfect. I love your grandma’s cookies. I literally have to limit my visits there or I would start to get fat and we can’t have that can we?”

I jolted in surprise at Myu, but perhaps I shouldn’t have been. I hadn’t kept the relationship of Millie and I a secret, but I hadn’t blabbed it either. Truly a testament to the Sepiidans information gathering.

”You’re good.” I admitted. Myu’s eyes turned into crescents hearing that, knowing what I was referencing, as she smiled up at me and replied.

”I know.”
