The hivemind is conquering for me?

Elias slank away from the table… He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t listen to his lady taking about being intimate with that man. It just didn’t make sense. He wasn’t even attractive, his face was too smooth.

He needed to speak to Sophia alone, he couldn’t do another month of this, he needed his emotions to be heard, he needed to make the ultimatum. He had been with Sophia for years, she would choose him hands down, loyalty was everything.

For now however, he revved up his fryers. That creature in the other room ate like he was twelve people, it made sense now why Sophia asked to make so much, he would need to make more, less she would go hungry.

…

Samantha was filing her nails idly, they grew fast these days, and they grew sharp. She needed to keep them a reasonable length, Daddy enjoyed having his back scratched during the deed after all.

As she was idling away, there was suddenly a commotion at the bar. “What! Who took it! I am about to break their fucking legs!” An angry voice yelled, drawing attention from those nearby.

Samantha then looked away, looking disinterested, taking a sip of her drink to highlight herself as the bartender pointed her out. ‘Such gallantry… Selling out a poor innocent woman just like that.’

The man at the bar who was just shouting looked over and was shocked to see such a beautiful woman. His attitude changed in a moment and gestured to the goons that were accompanying him to stay back.

Sweeping back his blonde hair, he winched a moment as he did before walking over to the woman. “Excuse me Miss, might I have a moment of your time?” He said, causing Samantha to look up at the man.

“Oh, are you here to break my legs sir? I would hate to, but I will fight back if I must.” Samantha said with a beautiful smile, causing the man to track back. “No- no. Apologies, it is just, when I heard my favourite beverage was bought out, I became a little upset. Forgive me miss, I mean no harm to anyone.”

Samantha faked a small amount of surprise. “You like Twaupo? I didn’t think many people outside of my planet had heard of it. When I found it on the menu, I just couldn’t help myself.” The man was surprised by Samantha’s statement and asked. “You are from Diathama? I can’t remember the last time I met a fellow Diathaorite that I didn’t know prior to leaving.”

“My papa is from Diathama, I have only been there a few times myself, but I understand the importance of heritage, care to share a drink with me Mr?” The man smiled and extended his hand. “Cacia. Savitri Cacia.”

“Samantha. A pleasure to meet you Savitri. Please sit, I smuggled a drink aboard that perfectly pairs with Twaupo. Care to try?” Samantha then reached into her bag and pulled out a small bottle and placed it onto the table.

Savitri then raised his hand into the air and shook it without taking his eyes off Samantha, he had a cool smile on his face indicating his agreement. “Why not? A drink with a beauty such as you? I would be a fool to say no.”

Samantha smiled, but said nothing and watched as one of the goons brought a glass over and placed it into Savitri’s hand. “So, what are we drinking?” He asked as he picked up the bottle, taking the top off to give it a whiff.

As he did so, his eyes opened wide. The smell… It was heavenly. He wanted to chug the entire bottle right there, but a delicate hand placed on his forearm brought him back to. “Where is the fun in knowing? Why don’t you just let me pour and we will drink together hmm?” Samantha then used her other hand and took the bottle out of the man’s hand, purposely keeping her hand on the man’s forearm for an extra three seconds to feign subtle attraction.

Savitri looked Samantha up and down and smiled. Perhaps his Father was right and he would end up enjoying the next month… He had a good feeling about this woman after all, not only was it her perfect looks. Savitri felt like a golden opportunity would fall into his lap around this gorgeous woman. ‘A home native as well… If things go well this month, Mama might not go ballistic.’

His thoughts were interrupted when he realised Samantha had poured the drinks. The aroma was so beautiful, even those on the adjoining tables had begun to smell it, causing them to salivate.

Samantha then passed the drink over to Savitri and raised her glass. “To Diathama!” Savitri smiled. “And it’s beautiful daughters!” He then waited a moment, watching as Samantha drank her drink before taking a sip of his own.”

Savitri was then transported to a town of flavours. Too many to list, but he clearly could not get enough as he began chugging the entire thing, finishing it without hesitation. After finshing, he watched with envy as Samantha’s lips parted ways for the rest of the drink in her glass.

“Goodness! That was… Indescribable. That was without a doubt the best drink I have ever had. We must have another!” Savitri then reached for the bottle, but Samantha was quicker and placed it back inside of her bag.

As Savitri looked at her with confusion, Samantha smiled and stood up. “We cannot enjoy the whole bottle tonight dear Savatri, we have a long journey ahead of us, best we savour a glass every night no?”

Savitri’s eyes opened wide. “Every night you say?” He said, causing Samantha to giggle implicatively before placing a different bottle down on the table, the Twaupo. “You enjoy this tonight. I have to go and settle in, come find me tomorrow.”

Samantha then ran her nail down the contour of Savitri’s jaw, flicking playfully at his chin before walking off towards the VIP quarters. Savitri couldn’t look away. Everything about that woman… She was perfect. He kept his eyes on her until she was no longer in view until he suddenly heard. “Boss? Are you ok?”

Savitri looked up at his guardian, wondering when the large man had come to stand beside him. Savitri had a dazed expression on his face that caused his guardian to ask. “Boss, did that woman spike you? I can bring her back and interrogate her if you wish?”

Savitri frowned at his guardian. “No… No, I am not spiked. I am fine… A little too fine. I think… I think…” Savitri looked back to where Samantha was just sitting and a feeling of ease washed over his aching form.

“I think I have fallen in love.”

…

Samantha kept up a smile until she got into the confines of her room, at which point as soon as the door shut, her face became disgusted. “Ugh… The lecher. ‘AnD iT’s BeAuTiFuL dAuGhTeRs’ Disgusting creature. I wouldn’t be speaking to you if you were not influential.”

Samantha then entered the bathroom and began washing her hands of the filth. “Ugh, how do the others do it? I feel sick to my stomach. Its like I am betraying Daddy’s trust in me by doing this.”

She knew how Keyla did it of course, her best friend didn’t have emotions before Apollo came around, just a series of faces she used for every person. She felt nothing, A psychopathic serial killer. it’s probably why she was able to sneak her way into Apollo’s pants, all emotions she felt were solely for him after all, she could concentrate on Apollo in ways others couldn’t.

But the others? Jinx literally fingered a woman and felt nothing about it! That is disgusting! The only time she could bear being near any other form of genitalia, aside from Apollo’s, is when she was feasting. No biomass goes to waste after all. Even with that said, she couldn’t pinpoint the last time that was.

Still though, after feeling sufficiently clean, Samantha looked at herself in the mirror and smiled evilly. The initial phase of the plan went off without a hitch. She knew she was the man’s type down to the dress she was wearing. She knew he would come over alone without his guards after seeing her, She knew he would drink whatever she placed in front of him as long as she drank first and she knew once he had a sip, her poison would now be inside of him, beginning to alter his perception of attraction, changing the chemicals inside of his brain to create the false sensation of love.

Samantha actually felt sorry for the man for that reason only. What he is feeling isn’t true love, what the hive feels? A love so deep it’s burned into their very existence? Now that was real love, something the sorry shit Savitri will never be able to feel.

Samantha then resolved herself. Over the coming voyage. She would feed the man more of her poison. Raising and lowering his libido with harmless flirting, speeding up the process until she had her slave ready.

She felt sick for what she was going to be doing over the period of time, but for her Apollo and the Hive… She would do anything.

Quick writing style question for my amazing readers. Do you guys enjoy it when I put My/ Her/ Their Apollo. Instead of just Apollo? (look at last paragraph for eg. I think it shows the absoloute possessiveness of the hive and how Apollo is THEIRS! Its a grammatical annomaly that confuses me sometimes in editing, but I love it in the context of the novel.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
