Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 463: Diana

An unknown place in the Republic of Medes

At the edge of a vast canyon, a beautiful figure sat with her bare legs dangling, lazily watching the scene before her.

The sky was dark, and a huge shadow covered the canyon. The starlight tried its best to keep the place lit, but within this vast canyon, only absolute darkness could be seen.

This beautiful figure had long golden hair and green eyes. Her skin was so pale that it seemed lifeless, as if she was on the verge of death.

But those who knew this girl understood that this was her natural complexion. In fact, one of the reasons she quickly became famous across this small country was because of her distinctive appearance.

As she looked into the canyon, her eyes shone with a strange light. It seemed like she was deep in thought, though no one could guess what she was thinking about.

Suddenly, the space around her began to tremble. Before long, the fabric of reality shattered like glass, and another young figure stepped out, standing behind the girl.

The woman who had just appeared didn’t say anything, as if she didn’t want to disturb the peace of the young girl sitting there.

Even though she tried to suppress her aura as much as possible and hide it from the world, her presence still disturbed the surrounding space.

Seeing this, she sighed and waved her hand. Countless powerful arrays appeared and completely isolated the canyon, ensuring no one could spy on them.

This was a forbidden zone on the border of the Republic of Medes and another country. Even national-ranked Awakened didn’t dare to come here, but she still made sure no one could spy on them.

”Senior sister, are you really sure the people we’re looking for are in this country?” the girl sitting there asked softly. Her voice carried a tone of weariness and frustration.

The woman addressed as senior sister sighed. For a moment, she didn’t know how to answer, since she herself wasn’t certain.

”I don’t know... but Master said they’re here, so they must be here.”

”Really? But maybe they realized years ago that we were after them and already fled this place,” the young girl—Diana—said after a pause.

”No matter how much we search, we can’t find anything in this country. There’s no trace of them.” Seeing that her senior sister didn’t answer, she continued.

”I reported this to Master, but she still believes they’re in this country. You know Master’s power. If she says they’re here, then they must be.” The woman gave the same answer again.

Diana sighed and didn’t reply immediately. Instead, she lifted her eyes to the sky. For years, she had followed her master’s order, leaving the central continent to come here and search for the people her master wanted.

But no matter how much she searched, there was no trace. Worse, she didn’t even know what she was supposed to be looking for.

Her master had only said that when she met a member of that family, she would know right away. Still, Diana couldn’t understand such vague words.

”Master is so powerful, so why doesn’t she come herself to find them? If she came, there wouldn’t be a need to waste so much time.” That was another thing Diana couldn’t understand.

Although her master was extremely powerful, for some reason instead of searching herself, she had sent Diana.

”Master definitely has her own reasons. Unfortunately, little sister, you’re still too weak to learn the truth.” Senior sister spoke after seeing the frustration in her younger sister’s eyes.

”Ah, I really miss home. This place is so boring. Their geniuses are too weak, nothing interesting ever happens.” Diana understood what her senior sister meant and didn’t press the issue further.

It was clear she wasn’t supposed to know more about this matter for now.

”Since you came to this country, you’ve become the top-ranked genius. Of course, with your talent, that much is normal... but I heard you lost the top spot in one of the rankings.”

Diana’s expression shifted slightly. It was a source of frustration and anger for her. She had never expected to lose to the so-called geniuses of a third-rate country.

She had even tried to take back the top spot, but the record that The Fallen had set was practically unbreakable. She had even started to think that person must have cheated.

”That person definitely cheated. The record they set is way too high. It’s impossible for a genius from this country to be capable of that.”

”I’ve seen that record myself, and I admit it’s extremely high. But I don’t think they cheated. It’s their own ability,” senior sister disagreed, voicing her own opinion.

”But how is it possible for someone to set such a record? I can’t even get close to it,” Diana said with a frown, clearly upset.

”The world is vast, and there are many hidden geniuses. If you can discover The Fallen’s identity, it wouldn’t be bad to try recruiting them.”

”Before I try to recruit them, I’ll definitely challenge them to a fight first,” Diana said firmly.

Senior sister didn’t reply. She knew well the competitive spirit of this girl. In truth, she herself was also curious to witness The Fallen’s abilities.

”Do whatever you want, but don’t forget your mission. It’s time for me to leave. If you need something, you know how to contact me.”

”I know, I know. Take care of yourself, and give my regards to Master,” Diana replied lazily.

The woman smiled, and then the space before her shattered again. She stepped into the void and vanished.

She would have liked to stay longer, but it was too dangerous, especially since for unknown reasons this country had suddenly come under the close watch of the Guardian Council.

She didn’t know what had caused those old men to suddenly pay so much attention to a third-rate country. On top of that, even her revered master was keeping a close watch on this place.

What secret did this third-rate country hold that made it so important to the most powerful beings in the world?
