Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 462: Eldest Son Of Kaelos

Awakened Association, City of Sanctis, Republic of Medes

Inside the office of the chairman of the Awakened Association, a young man was sitting on the chairman’s seat, looking out the window at the rainy weather.

The power radiating from his body only seemed to be rank A, but there was something strange within it, something destructive and terrifying.

Beside him, August, the chairman of the Awakened Association in Sanctis, stood respectfully. He didn’t dare speak until his superior said something first.

”Rainy weather is beautiful, isn’t it?” William said with a smile on his face. His appearance bore an undeniable resemblance to Kaelos.

It was as if they were the same person, except William looked like the younger version.

”That’s right, young master,” August nodded respectfully and sighed as he glanced at the eldest son of Kaelos.

He couldn’t understand why his superior would suddenly appear here without notice. Shouldn’t he be in the capital, dealing with the Sairon Blade guild’s affairs?

”I know what you’re thinking. That guild doesn’t matter to me. It’s just a worthless thing that the father of this body established,” William said lazily, as if reading his subordinate’s thoughts.

”Still, young master, wouldn’t it be better to keep it at least as a base? After all, the organization doesn’t have any foothold in this country. Sairon Blade could be a good option.”

This time, the young man didn’t answer right away. Silence filled the office completely, as if he was deep in thought.

After a few minutes, he shook his head, rejecting the idea.

”It’s not a bad idea, but this country is too small and too weak. I want to leave here as soon as possible and head to the central continent. I should be able to recover my true power much faster there.”

From his point of view, wasting even one more second in this country was a mistake and a crime. A third-rate country like this, with only one Heavenly King, wasn’t worthy of his attention.

If it weren’t for the fact that he had been forced to stay here all this time to gather some power before heading to the central continent, he would have left long ago.

He wasn’t a native of this country. In fact, he wasn’t even the real owner of this body. He had killed the original owner and forcefully taken over it.

Back then, in the central continent, he had fought a large and brutal battle against several of the strongest Heavenly Kings, but he was severely injured and his real body was destroyed.

That was why he had to flee from the central continent and come to this third-rate country, where he seized a talented body.

For years, he had to keep acting and hiding, but fortunately, now he could finally leave and return home.

”Still, you’re right. It’s not bad to have a base here too. When I go to the central continent, I’ll send someone from the organization to take control of this guild.” Though perhaps annexing this country wasn’t a bad idea either.

Even though it was a third-rate country, he had realized that too many strange and unexpected things had happened and were still happening here.

First, a genius woman from the central continent came here, hiding her identity and wasting her time in this place for reasons he couldn’t understand at all.

Then, the father of this body somehow obtained the Apocalypse Ring, a legendary, forbidden, and extremely powerful item.

No matter how much he thought about it, he couldn’t figure out how that man had managed to acquire such a ring. His instincts told him more events would happen soon.

But he didn’t want to get involved. He had no patience and no time. The only thing he wanted now was to recover his strength.

”Should I come with you, or stay here?” August asked with a bit of hesitation.

”There’s no need for you to come. Stay here and heal your wounds with the corruption strands I gave you. Once you’ve fully recovered and returned to your peak strength, come to the central continent.”

”I understand. Thank you very much for your generosity, young master,” August let out a relieved sigh and bowed respectfully.

He really didn’t want to leave this country for now, not at least until he saw that boy again and gave him those treasures as he had promised.

”Anyway, about that boy. Did you manage to recruit him? I feel like he’s a good seedling worth nurturing and has good talent,” William asked, lost in thought.

”I’m sorry, young master, but it’s been some time since I last saw Daniel or spoke with him. The last time, he was in a bad state, and it seemed like your father wanted to kill him.”

”Try to recruit him. That boy definitely has the talent to become a Heavenly King. If the organization gains another Heavenly King, we’ll become even stronger.”

”Don’t worry, young master. When I see him again, I’ll definitely do my best to recruit him. That boy completely trusts and respects me. I’m sure he’ll accept,” August said confidently. Still, a deep light flickered in his eyes that no one noticed.

Recruit him? He would never drag that boy, who was like his own son, into such a swamp.

”Good. If you manage to recruit him, I promise to give you seven more corruption strands,” William said with satisfaction, looking at the old man.

A few years ago, when he had taken over this body, he came to this city for a mission and happened to meet this old man, who was the chairman of the Awakened Association here.

At that time, thanks to his broad knowledge, he realized that the old man’s condition wasn’t good. Considering August’s position and power at his peak, William decided that recruiting him wouldn’t be a bad choice.

So he gave him a corruption strand and recruited him as a member of the Corruption Worshipers behind the scenes. Since August was already near death, he didn’t refuse.

”Young master, may I ask when you plan to leave?” August suddenly asked.

”Before leaving, I’ll take part in a raid on a purple-ranked dungeon. After that, I’ll leave this country,” William replied.

”That’s later than I expected,” August raised his eyebrows in surprise. He had thought the man would leave immediately after this.

”In that dungeon, there are some items and valuable treasures that can help me grow stronger. With them, taking back my position in the Corruption Worshipers will be much easier.”
