Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1224: Chapter 1222: Burial

Naluduo City, in front of the Dafa Circus, Gu Xi sat on the steps of the circus, remembering Kro’s last words in his heart.

”Circus is really fun, my life is worth it, Brother Gu, do me a favor, don’t resurrect me.”

Regarding Kro’s last request before his death, Gu Xi couldn’t help but agree.

After all, with the various exciting activities inside the circus, Kro somehow held on for more than six hours, until Gu Xi completed the main quest, and then he closed his eyes.

Of course, the circus being fun was a reason for Kro to keep going.

One has to admit, the performances inside the Dafa Circus opened Gu Xi’s eyes wide with surprise.

To say nothing else, just squeezing into the crowd to watch the circus was a very entertaining affair.

Except for some guests who came specifically for the Dafa Circus, the audience seats were filled with some idle actresses, each with their own skills.

If not for being incredibly strong, able to lift people, then it was the ability to twist oneself into incredible contortions.

Even without the intention to perform on stage, there was plenty of fun to be had there in the audience seats.

If one went on stage, the shows available to watch would be even more.

High-wire walking, swinging trapeze, magical wardrobe changes, the great escape from being locked inside a box, and various animal performances, each one could make people happy and joyful for quite a while.

With one performance after another, Kro completed the most glorious Chapter of his life.

Now, looking at Kro’s corpse, Gu Xi remained silent for a long time.

Although he had only communicated with Kro for about three months, Gu Xi had to admit that Kro was a good person.

To say nothing else, just considering Kro holding on for six hours for him, Gu Xi would fulfill Kro’s final wish.

After resting a bit in front of the circus, Gu Xi personally sent Kro’s corpse onto the Holy Silver Evil Coffin.

Carrying Kro’s corpse, heading towards the direction of the cemetery outside the city.

Initially, Gu Xi’s idea was to bury Kro in the nearby archaeological dig site.

Perhaps thousands of years later, Kro would become a part of expert archaeological study.

But when lifting Kro out from the Dafa Circus, Gu Xi realized this idea was doomed to fail.

With Kro’s death, the evil qi on him could no longer be suppressed.

Black qi spread from within Kro’s corpse, both inside and out.

Gu Xi believed that if he turned Kro into a Skeleton Soldier, its color would definitely be pure black.

Faced with this situation, Gu Xi understood that this corpse was unlikely to be sent to the nearest archaeological dig site; Gu Xi could only find Kro a feng shui favorable spot and bury him in Naluduo City’s cemetery.

The cemetery of Naluduo City was located in a valley west of the city outskirts.

When Gu Xi brought Kro’s corpse into this cemetery, he hesitated.

The yin qi was extremely heavy here, heavy enough for the Undead to almost emerge.

Gu Xi worried that Kro’s corpse buried here might lead to some mutation.

Thus, his immediate thought was to leave.

Unexpectedly, when adjusting the direction of the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, Kro’s corpse was shaken slightly, and his arm unexpectedly pointed towards the cemetery’s direction.

Gu Xi was startled by this sight.

Then, he simply drove the Holy Silver Evil Coffin into this cemetery filled with yin qi.

”Outsider, what brings you here?”

Gu Xi looked up and saw five angels appear in the sky.

Although their bodies were stained with a lot of yin qi, the white light enveloping them proved their identity.

Authentic angels.

”My friend has passed away, and I wish to bury him nearby. I’m hoping to choose a suitable location where he can see the Dafa Circus inside the city.

This is my friend’s last wish.”

Gu Xi didn’t hide anything and directly explained his intention.

Upon hearing this, the angels found it a rare request indeed.

People typically come here looking for a good cemetery, or a place where sunlight can reach.

To see the circus inside the city, this request indeed has not been made before.

One angel thought for a moment, ”Dafa Circus? Never really heard of it, do you know which city district?”

”The West City area, right within that square there.”

Of course, Gu Xi knew the district location, previously rushing there, Kro had clarified all the details.

”Knowing the location is good, alright, I know the place, you can see from there, but it’s somewhat away from the center. If you wish, you can bury your friend there.”

”I have no issue with that.”

Gu Xi said while he lifted Kro from the Holy Silver Evil Coffin and carried him down.

Seeing the corpse of Kro held by Gu Xi, the angels’ expressions changed instantly.

They could definitely tell, the evil qi on Kro was extremely heavy.

Handled improperly, it could cause a big mess.

But Gu Xi was evidently not here to provoke.

This corpse before them fitted their standards for reception.

Not receiving and providing burial would be unjustifiable.

So the angels faced Gu Xi, engaged in discussion in the sky.

However, Gu Xi always felt they were stalling for time.

It was as if once Kro’s corpse turned, they’d legitimately refuse to receive and bury Kro.

But who is Gu Xi?

As an Undead Mage, Gu Xi could easily suppress corpse transformations.

Currently, Gu Xi there used the Soul Whisper ability to communicate with Kro’s corpse.

”Hold on a little longer, I’ve picked a really good spot for you, with a clear view of the Dafa Circus. Then you can watch the circus every day.”

After saying that, Gu Xi would also often inquire with the angels in the sky, asking if the corpse could be buried yet.

The angels thus saw, in such circumstances, they really had no excuse to delay.

Therefore, the angels nervously received Kro’s corpse.

And thoughtfully prepared a shroud and stone coffin for Kro.

Some angels even prepared cement and lead water there.

”What is this for?”

”Oh, to prevent corpse transformation, all the corpses here are handled this way, rest assured, we’re professionals in this aspect.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s question, the angels immediately explained.

But Gu Xi detected the meaning within their words.

Corpse transformation was likely possible, currently what they could do was control the transforming corpse, ensuring it wouldn’t wander around.

No wonder the yin qi here was so heavy.

Yet Gu Xi glanced at Kro’s corpse once more.

With such heavy evil qi, unless Gu Xi was willing to burn Kro’s corpse to ashes, transformation was inevitable.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi stepped forward, placed a gold coin into Kro’s mouth, and then withdrew the White Bone Obelisk that was secretly suppressing the evil qi, quickly retreating to the side.
