”I need to handle this matter first. You stay here and keep an eye on things. We still have two test reports pending. Once they’re out, we’ll decide.”

Although results for only three types of Grass Returning Pill have been obtained, these are sufficient to report.

Even if the remaining two are not effective, they are still enough for the higher-ups in Ancestor City.

Being part of the upper echelons among the players, Liu Zengqiang understands the current situation clearly.

There is no need to wait for the remaining two test reports, he said to Li Fei.

”Director Li, introduce to him the potential research directions we might undertake in the future. I’ll handle this matter first.”

Watching Liu Zengqiang leave, Li Fei immediately pulled Gu Xi aside.

”I’ll tell you this upfront, young man, most of the tests on the Grass Returning Pill are already out.

Judging by the current situation, there will definitely be interference.

Future research might lean towards second-generation or third-generation seedlings.

This part of the research might not concern you.

I suppose you wouldn’t be interested in second or third-generation seedlings, right?

Your goal should be to plant good trees.

Initially, we planned to study the impact of dual Five Elements Power on seedlings after succeeding with a single Five Elements Power, and then further study the impact of three, then four.

However, now it seems unfeasible. Expanding the planting of second and third-generation seedlings may be the direction for some time.

Our previous plans might need a complete overhaul.”

Gu Xi understood that Li Fei’s words might be true.

Given the situation, Gu Xi had no choice.

However, he was more concerned about what elements they used.

Gu Xi felt that it couldn’t be arranged as formulaic as suggested.

To this question, Li Fei, looking puzzled, asked, ”Don’t you know such a simple thing?

Well, you Undead Mages don’t study this.

The Water-attribute White Bone Land is actually non-melting glaciers.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi’s eyes widened, surprised at such an explanation.

Could it be that his initial thoughts were incorrect?

Li Fei’s explanation made sense. As long as glaciers don’t melt, corpses within won’t decompose, making Water-attribute White Bone Land plausible.

Furthermore, with this understanding, Gu Xi wouldn’t need to seek a Burial Ground like in the previous world.

He would just need to place a piece of ice from the glacier beside the tree.

Li Fei didn’t notice Gu Xi’s reaction and continued.

”The Earth Attribute river is quicksand. Whether sourced from the desert or beach, a handful of sand suffices.

Underground plants are coal; just place a coal chunk there.

A metal surface can use metallic cement boards without error.

Lastly, fire in the forest, a torch would suffice.”

Gu Xi blinked repeatedly, surprised that this peculiar Reversed Five Elements had such interpretations.

He had no choice but to believe, as Pei Xin Agricultural University had clearly figured everything out.

If something were wrong, the Grass Returning Pill trees wouldn’t grow so well.

As Gu Xi was taken aback by the situation, someone delivered the fourth Grass Returning Pill test report.

This newly delivered report concerned the Grass Returning Pill (Wood).

With Liu Zengqiang absent, the report went straight to Gu Xi.

Opening the report, Gu Xi was impressed by the Grass Returning Pill’s case.

He felt a bit regretful, unsure if revealing the Grass Returning Pill was wrong.

The current Grass Returning Pill (Wood) had only one effect: if a player died in-game, consuming the Grass Returning Pill (Wood) on the spot grants a chance of revival.

Of course, Gu Xi estimated that before their Creation completed the pathway to reality, the revival chance might only occur once.

Unlike reality where players start with three revival chances.

But for players, it’s still an encouragement, allowing them to risk their lives with the chance of revival.

This Grass Returning Pill (Wood) has significantly altered the scene here again.

Especially for high-level players.

Players over level 20 typically avoid risky games.

But the Grass Returning Pill (Wood) changes that scenario.

Maybe they’ll be willing to risk their lives once.

Seeing the test report in hand, Gu Xi couldn’t help but sigh.

How had this matter escalated so much?

Continuing like this, it might become difficult to resolve.

At this point, the final test report was also delivered.

This Grass Returning Pill (Earth) doesn’t seem as dazzling as the previous ones yet surprisingly useful in negating Purple Armor’s negative effects.

One Grass Returning Pill (Earth) negates one effect randomly.

After negation, negative effects reappear if the Purple Armor is still used.

Unlike other Grass Returning Pills, this one might be consumable in battles.

After reviewing all test reports, Gu Xi acknowledged that using Grass Returning Pills separately yielded better growth.

After putting aside all reports, Gu Xi asked Liu Fei.

”Liu Fei, what will the planting ratio for Grass Returning Pills be?”

Liu Fei couldn’t provide an answer.

There might have been some plans before, but now with test reports out, Liu Fei understood that adjustments on what to plant more or less were inevitable.

Gu Xi and Liu Fei knew the current matter was beyond their control.

However, Liu Fei still told Gu Xi.

”We have to await directions from above, but for your five thousand seedlings, you don’t have to wait. If I were you, I’d first plant five hundred with complete Five Elements.

Distribute others proportionally.

If you want significant profits, mass planting Grass Returning Pill (Water) and Grass Returning Pill (Earth) is best as they are consumables.

Grass Returning Pill (Wood) should be planted minimally.

As an Undead Mage, revival isn’t your concern.

And when players revive, Ancestor City should provide arrangements regarding Grass Returning Pill (Wood).

As for Grass Returning Pill (Fire) and Grass Returning Pill (Metal), you don’t need much; they won’t sell for much.

And I believe you wouldn’t feed your Undead subordinates these pills, right?

So these can be planted sparingly.

If possible, reserve seedlings, avoid planting immediately, await our second or third generation Five Elements experiments. It’s not confirmed yet, but effects beyond second-generation won’t be simple.

Even with mass planting, some experiments will continue, although it might drag on.”
