Helping Beautiful Women Become Stronger, I Have a Love System

83: Chapter 83 Shen Muli was druggedLi Chang seemed to be a regular here; he parked the car with practiced ease, and then Shen Muli walked inside. He showed a card at the front desk and quickly obtained a room card.

Cao Kun parked his car in the shadows of a surveillance blind spot on the side of the hotel. He quickly put on a baseball cap and a mask, lowered the brim, and followed them into the hotel lobby.

He saw the elevator stop on the sixth floor.

He didn’t follow immediately. Instead, he sat in the lounge area in the corner of the lobby, his eyes fixed on the elevator. The listening device in his ear transmitted the sounds of the elevator running and the doors opening, followed by footsteps in the hallway, and finally the sound of a door opening and closing.

Through the camera on Shen Muli’s person, Cao Kun saw the two of them enter Room 606.

He stood up, went to the front desk, and quickly booked Room 605, which was right next door to 606.

Upon entering Room 605, Cao Kun immediately pressed his ear against the wall.

The hotel’s soundproofing wasn’t great, so he could faintly hear movement next door.

At the same time, the sound coming through the earphones became even clearer.

In the room next door.

As soon as Li Chang entered the room, he impatiently tried to hug Shen Muli. ”Little Shen, don’t be nervous. Come, sit down and let’s talk.”

Shen Muli deftly dodged him and walked to the small round table in the center of the room. Her voice was still weak, yet it carried a subtle hint of guidance.

”Principal Li, don’t be in such a hurry... Let’s sit down first and talk properly about Xiaoxiao’s matter. You said before that as long as I... well, that, you could guarantee Xiaoxiao gets into the best class? Does that... still stand? You wouldn’t lie to me, would you?”

”Of course it stands!” Li Chang also walked to the table, attempting to grab Shen Muli’s hand.

”When I, Li Chang, speak, my word is my bond! Not just getting into a good class, I’ll take care of everything for her in school from now on!”

”Just like that Widow Zhang’s daughter before; she was much more sensible than you. Now her daughter is among the top students in a key middle school!”

As he spoke, he took out a small glass wine bottle and two cups from the briefcase he carried with him. He poured half a cup of amber liquid and handed it to Shen Muli.

”Come, Little Shen, don’t just talk. Have some of this and relax. This is good stuff, imported.”

Shen Muli looked at the liquid warily and didn’t take it. ”Principal Li, I... I don’t know how to drink.”

”This isn’t ordinary wine; it’s foreign liquor, good for the skin! Just have a little to liven things up!”

Without allowing any refusal, Li Chang forced the cup into Shen Muli’s hand and drained his own first. ”Look, even I’ve drunk it! Give me some face!”

Having no choice, Shen Muli took a symbolic sip. A strange sweetness mixed with the taste of alcohol hit her tongue.

She quietly kept most of the liquid in her mouth, pretended to cough, covered her mouth with a tissue, and spat most of it out.

However, even the tiny bit she swallowed soon made her feel a slight dizziness and heat.

Something was wrong! There was something in the wine!

In the next room, Cao Kun also heard Li Chang’s urging and the sound of pouring through the earphones, as well as Shen Muli’s slight, unnatural cough.

His heart tightened, and he immediately focused all his attention on listening.

Seeing Shen Muli drink the wine, a successful, devious smile appeared on Li Chang’s face.

This was a drugged wine he had specially prepared.

He sat back in his chair and crossed his legs, his posture becoming even more relaxed and audacious.

”Little Shen, look at you. You’re so beautiful, but you have bad luck. But it’s fine. If you follow me from now on, I guarantee you’ll live a good life.”

”Money? I have plenty! With all the school’s annual funding and the ’tributes’ from parents, it’s enough for us to spend!”

”From now on, you won’t have to do anything but serve me.”

He became more and more explicit, seemingly feeling that Shen Muli was already meat on the chopping block.

Shen Muli felt the heat and dizziness intensifying. She knew she had to speed things up and get the most crucial evidence.

Evidence of Li Chang personally admitting to blackmailing her.

She forced herself to stay alert, propped her forehead with her hand, and her voice became even weaker, tinged with pleading: ”Principal Li... my head is a bit dizzy... I’ve remembered everything you said.”

”I... I’m willing to be with you... as long as you can really help Xiaoxiao.”

”What you said just now, as long as I accompany you... you’ll let my daughter go to school. Can you... say that to me again personally? I... I want to hear your personal guarantee, or else I won’t feel at ease...”

As Shen Muli spoke, her body swayed as if she were about to fall. Seeing this, Li Chang thought the drug was taking effect. Overjoyed, he quickly stepped forward to support her, taking the opportunity to lead her toward the bed.

”Fine, fine, fine, I guarantee it, I guarantee it!” Li Chang said urgently into her ear while getting handsy.

”I, Li Chang, guarantee that as long as you, Shen Muli, submit to me tonight and behave, your daughter Ma Xiaoxiao can immediately report to Class 1, Grade 1 of the First Primary School! I’ll personally arrange it! In the future, I’ll protect her at school! Now you’re at ease, right? My little beauty...”

Now!

Using her last shred of consciousness, Shen Muli lightly pressed a spot on the inside of her dress—an emergency signal for Cao Kun.

At the same time, she gathered her strength and gave Li Chang a hard push: ”Principal Li! Don’t be like this! I... I don’t feel well!”

Li Chang was pushed back, stumbling. He was stunned for a moment, then became fly-blown with rage.

”Damn it, I give you face but you don’t want it! You’ve drunk my wine, so why act pure now!”

He lunged again, his movements violent.

”Bang!!!”

With a loud crash, the door of Room 606 was kicked open from the outside with immense force!

The door lock was sent flying!

Cao Kun charged in like a cheetah, his eyes cold as knives, his whole body radiating a terrifying aura.

Having heard Li Chang’s final words and Shen Muli’s struggle from next door, he had acted without hesitation.

Li Chang was scared out of his wits by this sudden turn of events, freezing in place: ”You... who are you?! How did you get in?!”

Cao Kun didn’t waste words; he stepped forward, grabbed Li Chang’s collar with one hand, and slammed him hard against the wall like a chick!

At the same time, he glanced at Shen Muli’s condition. Seeing her flushed face and blurred eyes, the fire of anger in his heart burned even brighter.

”Sister Li, how are you?” Cao Kun asked urgently.

”The wine... there’s something wrong with the wine...” Shen Muli panted, slumped by the bed.

Cao Kun turned to look at the deathly pale Li Chang pinned against the wall, his voice sounding like it came from the depths of hell: ”What did you give her?”

”No... nothing... it was just ordinary wine...” Li Chang stammered, terrified.

Cao Kun didn’t care for his nonsense and punched Li Chang in his soft abdomen.

Li Chang let out a grunt, his eyes bulging, and he curled up like a shrimp, retching violently.

Cao Kun quickly searched him and found the small glass bottle in his suit’s inner pocket, which still contained a bit of liquid.

He unscrewed it and took a sniff; there was a pungent chemical smell mixed with the scent of alcohol.

”The evidence is conclusive.” Cao Kun stowed the bottle and threw the limp Li Chang onto the ground like trash.

He quickly walked to Shen Muli’s side and supported her: ”Sister Li, can you hold on? I’ll take you to the hospital!”

”No... no need. I drank very little and spat out most of it... I’m just a bit dizzy...”

Shen Muli leaned on Cao Kun and said weakly but clearly, ”The recording... did you get it?”

”I got it, it’s very clear.” Cao Kun nodded, his gaze softening. ”You did well, Sister Li. Leave the rest to me.”

He took out his phone, dialed 120 first, and then called Wang Dynasty Hui.

”Principal Wang, the evidence has been obtained. Li Chang personally admitted to taking bribes, abusing his power, threatening a student’s parent, and drugging Ms. Shen Muli with indecent intent.”

”I have him under control in Room 606 of the Yuelai Hotel in the west of the city. The bottle and the recording are in my hands. Now, it’s up to you.”

On the other end of the line, Wang Dynasty Hui’s voice trembled with excitement: ”Good! Good! Mr. Cao, stay safe! I’ll contact some reporters I know and the teachers from our school immediately to head over and report this directly.”

”This time, we must bring him to justice!”
