Helping Beautiful Women Become Stronger, I Have a Love System

59: Chapter 59 Xiang ZenanThe beauty actually walked toward Cao Kun.

She stopped across from him, tilted her head slightly, and asked in a soft voice, ”Hello, are you here for the blind date introduced by Aunt Zhang?”

Cao Kun quickly stood up. ”That’s me.”

”Mm.”

The beauty nodded and sat down across from Cao Kun.

Looking at her appearance, which could easily score a 95.

Cao Kun sighed inwardly.

His mother really hadn’t exaggerated this time; this girl was indeed excessively beautiful. She wasn’t inferior to Ji Guangli at all, and because she was a few years younger, she had a bit more youthful vibrancy.

”I’m sorry, there was some traffic on the way, so I’m late,” the beauty said apologetically, her voice gentle and soft.

”It’s fine, I just arrived as well.”

As Cao Kun spoke, he reached out to signal the waiter.

The waiter brought the menu over, and Cao Kun politely handed it to her. ”Take a look and see what you’d like to eat?”

The beauty pushed the menu back and smiled. ”You order. I’m not a picky eater. By the way, this meal is on me, so please don’t be polite.”

Cao Kun was stunned for a moment.

The woman offering to treat on a blind date? This was indeed rare.

He sized her up calmly, his mind beginning to wonder.

Such a beautiful girl taking the initiative to go on a blind date and even rushing to pay the bill—could there really be some kind of problem?

He didn’t show it on his face as he took the menu. ”Then I won’t be polite.”

After ordering a few signature dishes, the two began to introduce themselves while waiting for the food.

”Hello, my name is Xiang Ze Nan. I’m 24 years old and work as a teller at the Agricultural Bank in the county seat.”

Xiang Ze Nan spoke proactively with a graceful and natural attitude. ”I usually like reading and watching movies, and I occasionally go to the gym.”

Cao Kun also briefly introduced himself. ”Cao Kun, 25 years old, working in sales at an advertising company in Zhongzhou. Usually... I don’t have any special hobbies.”

He continued to observe Xiang Ze Nan as he spoke.

Judging by her speech and behavior, this girl was well-bred. Her eyes were clear when she spoke, and she didn’t seem like a scheming person.

But it was also possible that her level was too high for him to see through.

The dishes were served quickly.

The two chatted while they ate.

To Cao Kun’s surprise, Xiang Ze Nan didn’t immediately ask about practical matters like houses, cars, or income like other blind dates.

The two talked about light topics.

Interesting things at work, favorite movie genres, and books they had recently read.

Xiang Ze Nan was very talkative and had a broad range of knowledge; she could chat about anything from literature to movies to the economic situation.

Cao Kun found chatting with her very comfortable. She didn’t deliberately try to please him, nor were there any awkward silences; she handled the social boundaries perfectly.

By the end of the meal, the atmosphere was so harmonious it didn’t feel like a blind date, but rather a dinner between old friends.

Cao Kun even began to think.

If Xiang Ze Nan really was here for a serious blind date, then dating her seemed like it wouldn’t be so bad.

Who wouldn’t like a girl who was so beautiful and easy to talk to?

Just as the meal was nearing its end, Xiang Ze Nan suddenly put down her chopsticks, her expression becoming somewhat hesitant.

”Cao Kun, can I ask you a question?” she said softly.

”Of course, ask away.”

Xiang Ze Nan pursed her lips as if she had made a big decision. ”How... how do you feel about homosexuality?”

Cao Kun was stunned.

Countless thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant.

Why would she ask this question?

Is she testing my views? Or is it...

A bad premonition welled up in his heart.

Cao Kun steadied himself and answered cautiously, ”I don’t understand it, but I respect it. Everyone has the right to choose their own lifestyle.”

Xiang Ze Nan seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, but her eyes held a bit more apology.

She took a deep breath, her voice even softer. ”Actually... I’m gay.”

Despite being mentally prepared, Cao Kun was still shaken by these words.

He stared at Xiang Ze Nan with wide eyes.

Such a beautiful girl was actually a lesbian?

What a waste!

Seeing his shocked expression, Xiang Ze Nan hurriedly said, ”I’m sorry. I didn’t want to say anything, it’s just... I think you’re a good person and I didn’t want to deceive you.”

”So you came to the blind date because...” Cao Kun asked tentatively.

”My family is pushing me hard,” Xiang Ze Nan said with a bitter smile. ”My parents are very traditional and absolutely cannot accept that I like girls. They forced me to come on this blind date. I pushed it off several times, but this time I really couldn’t get out of it.”

She paused and looked at Cao Kun seriously. ”Actually, I could have just made up an excuse saying I didn’t like you, but I... I felt that telling you the truth directly was more respectful to you. I hope you can help me keep this secret, okay?”

Cao Kun’s heart was filled with mixed emotions.

On one hand, he did feel it was a pity.

How could such a beautiful girl like other girls?

On the other hand, he felt a bit of respect for Xiang Ze Nan’s honesty.

In today’s society, there aren’t many people who can face their sexual orientation directly and speak of it so frankly.

”Don’t worry, I’ll keep it a secret,” Cao Kun said solemnly. ”And thank you for trusting me so much.”

Xiang Ze Nan’s eyes reddened slightly. ”Thank you for understanding. This meal is on me; consider it compensation for the trouble I’ve caused you.”

”No need, I’ll pay, or we can go Dutch.”

”No, it must be me,” Xiang Ze Nan insisted. ”I already feel very bad about this.”

”Alright then!”

Cao Kun stopped insisting.

Xiang Ze Nan bit her lip and hesitated for a moment before saying quietly, ”Actually... I have an unreasonable request. I don’t know if you’d be willing to do me a favor?”

”What favor?”

”Through our conversation just now, I feel like you’re a very good person,” Xiang Ze Nan said seriously. ”So I was thinking... could you pretend that we hit it off on our blind date and pretend to be my boyfriend?”

Cao Kun was stunned again, not understanding what she meant.

Xiang Ze Nan quickly explained, ”I mean, you pretend to be my boyfriend, and I’ll tell my parents that I won’t marry anyone but you.”

”You come home with me to meet my parents, and then in front of them, you deliberately act... very unreliable.”

”For example, show some bad habits that they particularly hate. That way, they’ll be disappointed in you and force us to break up.”

”Then I can use that opportunity to tell them that they were the ones who forced the breakup, so they shouldn’t force me to go on blind dates anymore.”

”That way, they might leave me alone for a while and stop pushing for marriage.”

As she spoke, a pleading expression appeared on her face. ”I know this request is too much, so once it’s done, I can give you some compensation as payment for wasting your time, okay?”

Cao Kun was silent for a few seconds, quickly calculating in his head.

Helping with this favor wasn’t impossible; after all, he hadn’t had any hopes for this blind date anyway.

But pretending to be unreliable to deceive elders... it felt a bit unethical. And if Xiang Ze Nan’s parents were really disappointed in him, would they speak ill of him behind his back?

After all, they were in the same county; if word got out, it wouldn’t be good for his reputation.

Just as he was hesitating, a system notification suddenly sounded in his mind.

[Ding! System mission issued: Xiang Ze Nan’s partner is a scumbag woman who has been using Xiang Ze Nan and playing with her feelings. Please help Xiang Ze Nan expose the scumbag woman and let her see the other person’s true colors.]

[Mission Reward: 200,000 Yuan cash]

Cao Kun was shocked once again.

There are scumbag women even in lesbian relationships?

This... this was a lot of information!

He suddenly really wanted to see what that ’scumbag woman’ looked like and how she was playing with Xiang Ze Nan’s feelings.

To complete the mission and for the 200,000 Yuan reward, Cao Kun quickly made a decision.

Agree to Xiang Ze Nan’s request!

Because only then would he have more opportunities to interact with Xiang Ze Nan, understand her love life, and find a chance to expose that scumbag woman.

”Okay, I agree,” Cao Kun said seriously.

Xiang Ze Nan’s eyes lit up. ”Really? Thank you so much!”

”But I don’t want your money,” Cao Kun added. ”Just consider it a favor between friends.”

”You’re so kind,” Xiang Ze Nan said sincerely, her eyes full of gratitude. ”Then... shall we go to my house this afternoon? My parents are both home today.”

”So soon?” Cao Kun was a bit surprised.

”Strike while the iron is hot,” Xiang Ze Nan smiled sheepishly. ”Besides, my parents know I’m on a blind date today, so they must be waiting for news. Going now will have the best effect.”

Cao Kun thought about it and nodded. ”Alright, let’s do it this afternoon.”

At that moment, he suddenly thought of the prank videos he had seen online and immediately had a better idea.
