Chapter 1316: Chapter 524: Engineers and Artists

In the next two weeks, Ron’s individual guidance for the other apprentices in the class also produced significant effects.

Sied displayed a remarkable breakthrough during a plant cultivation class.

He no longer simply converted light energy to promote plant growth.

Gradually, he learned to establish a deep connection with a special plant known as ”Resonance Moss.”

This moss, originally used by the Danasu Race to purify negative emotions, possesses traits of perceiving and absorbing life energy.

When Sied gently stroked the surface of the moss, the emerald skin began to emit a soft glow.

But this glow was entirely different from the past.

It was no longer a mere energy release, but a bilateral energy exchange.

”I can feel their ’desire,’”

Sied said with his eyes closed, his voice carrying a nearly ecstatic sense of satisfaction:

”They desire to grow, to blossom, to show their beauty to the world. And I am just helping them fulfill that desire.”

Under his guidance, the magic flowers, which usually took three days to mature, completed their entire growth cycle in just one hour.

More surprisingly, the magic purity of these flowers was nearly 40% higher than that of their normally cultivated counterparts.

Ron explained to Ella, who was observing the process:

”Sied learned to listen to the internal rhythms of life of the plants and then synchronize with them.

Plants cultivated this way are not only of higher quality but also possess more vigorous life energy.”

Alfred, who possessed a trace of dragon blood, also achieved qualitative leaps under the guidance of the ”Resonance Technique.”

He no longer merely heated the surface of objects but began to guide heat to conduct along the most efficient path within the metal.

During an alchemy class, he needed to forge a dagger.

The traditional method required uniformly heating the entire piece of metal and then repeatedly hammering it into shape.

This process was not only time-consuming but also weakened the inherent structural strength of the metal through repeated heating.

But Alfred adopted a completely different approach.

He placed his hands on the cold metal ingot, closed his eyes, and sensed the molecular arrangement within the metal.

Then, he began to ”draw” the optimal path of heat conduction in his mind.

”Metals have their own ’grain,’ just like the rings of wood.”

He explained softly as he worked:

”If you follow these natural grains to heat, the metal becomes more ductile and easier to shape.”

Under his guidance, the heat flowed through the metal as if alive, precisely softening the parts that needed forging while maintaining the structural integrity of other areas.

The final product was tested, and the overall strength of this dagger was nearly 30% higher than similar works forged by traditional methods.

However, the progress of the other eight apprentices in the class was quite uneven.

Yura, with a small amount of Danasu blood, did enhance her plant communication ability, but to a limited extent.

Although she could perceive some basic needs of the plants, she was still a long way from having a true ”dialogue.”

Bruno, a Stove Star People hybrid, slightly improved his metal perception ability, being able to discern quality differences among various alloys, but he still needed to rely on traditional techniques for precise crafting.

Due to this uneven progression, some apprentices began to show obvious psychological imbalances.

Ron keenly noticed this subtle change.

After a group meditation class, he intentionally stayed behind to observe the interaction among the apprentices.

”Lira’s third eye has become stronger, I heard she can now see the history of objects.”

The apprentices sitting at the back of the classroom whispered:

”Gareen, in the last simulated battle, nearly overwhelmed students from a higher year.”

”Kael too, he can now ’talk’ to all the plants in the conservatory, even Mentor Ella said his talent is astounding.”

As they spoke, these apprentices couldn’t help but glance at Lira and others who were organizing notes in the front row.

”We are also practicing the Resonance Technique diligently, why is our progress so slow?”

Yura’s voice, with her Danasu Race blood, was light, but Ron still heard it:

”Is it because our talents are inherently lacking?”

”Maybe the mentor’s methods are more suited to those... particularly exceptional people?”

Another voice carried a distinct note of disappointment:

”We ’average’ hybrids may never reach their level.”

This psychological division made Ron vigilant.

He understood this was human nature.

When witnessing companions achieve remarkable success, feelings of jealousy and imbalance are unavoidable emotional reactions.

But if not properly handled, these emotions could destroy the cohesion of the class.

Which might inversely affect the cultivation of those fast-progressing apprentices.

”It seems necessary to find an opportunity allowing these kids to re-recognize their own value.”

Ron silently planned in his heart.

At the same time, he also noticed another positive change.

It was precisely because they witnessed the breakthroughs of Lira, Gareen, and others.

All the class apprentices developed deep trust in Ron’s teaching methods.

Even those whose progress was relatively slow began faithfully executing the personal training plans Ron developed.

”Mentor Ralph’s methods are indeed effective, but it may just take more time.”

Yura, although somewhat disappointed, still had determination in her tone:

”I will keep working hard, perhaps one day I can also achieve a breakthrough.”

”Yeah, at least we can feel ourselves progressing, though not as prominently as them.”
