Chapter 1304: Chapter 520: Apprentice’s Dilemma (2)

”Of course, the effect is more important.”

”Then, let’s do a comparative experiment.”

Ron took out two identical candles from the storage bag:

”Alfred, please light the first candle in your usual way. Sied, use the ’resonance’ method I just taught to light the second one.”

Without hesitation, Alfred pointed the index finger of his right hand at the wick, concentrating magic power to heat the fingertip.

A few seconds later, the candle was lit, but the flame was flickering and appeared unstable.

Sied, on the other hand, closed his eyes and gently caressed the surface of the candle first, as if sensing the texture and temperature of the wax.

Then he took a deep breath, and a gentle light emanated from his palm.

This time, the ignition process took nearly twenty seconds, but when the candle was lit, the flame was exceptionally stable, even carrying a faint golden glow.

”Now, blow out both candles simultaneously, and light them again.”

Ron continued to instruct.

Both of them blew out the candles at the same time and attempted to relight them.

Alfred quickly lit the candle again, but this time the flame was even more unstable than before.

Although Sied took the same amount of time, the flame from his second lighting was brighter and more stable.

”Did you see the difference?”

Ron explained to the whole class:

”Forced control may be quick, but each use consumes your own energy, and the effect diminishes over time.”

”While a resonance-based approach might be slower initially, the effect improves as understanding deepens, and the consumption decreases.”

”The resonance method of control also doesn’t harm the target. Look, Sied’s candle burns more evenly, while Alfred’s candle shows slight char marks around the edges.”

This experiment sent all the apprentices into deep thought.

Ella observed all of this quietly from the side, a look of surprise flashing in her eyes.

She didn’t expect Ron to so quickly grasp each apprentice’s core issues and demonstrate his teaching philosophy in such a vivid way.

”Well, that’s all for our first lesson today.”

Ron packed up the teaching materials:

”After you go back, try to have a ’dialogue’ with your capabilities. Don’t think about how to use them, but feel what they want to express.”

”Tomorrow, we’ll learn deeper resonance techniques—how to maintain a stable resonance state in different environments.”

As the apprentices left the classroom, each wore a thoughtful expression on their face.

This teaching method was a new experience for them and would take time to digest and understand.

”Your teaching method is indeed quite special.”

Ella walked up to Ron:

”I’ve never seen anyone gain the students’ acknowledgment so quickly.”

”Because I treat them as whole individuals, not as defective products needing repair.”

Ron summed up calmly:

”Everyone’s talent has its unique value, the key is finding the right way to harness it.”

Ella nodded: ”I hope the mentor can agree with your philosophy.”

”Why do you say that?”

”Because he’s more concerned about practicality and output efficiency.”

The witch said this and then sighed softly:

”If the students’ ability improvement isn’t fast enough, he might question your teaching methods.”

......

After class, Ron obtained detailed profiles of each apprentice from Ella.

These profiles were extremely comprehensive, not only recording their bloodline composition and ability performance but also containing each apprentice’s growth experience, psychological evaluation, and even family history.

”The backgrounds of these kids are quite... special, perhaps that’s also why their talents are different from those of their peers.”

Ella explained as she handed over the profiles.

Ron carefully perused Lira’s profile.

This three-eyed race mixed-blood girl’s father was a perception expert among the first three-eyed race immigrants of the Cyan Ring Star colony.

Her mother was a scholar from the Main World, specializing in alien race cultural research.

”An interesting combination.”

He analyzed in his heart the possibilities of this bloodline fusion:

”The multi-dimensional perception ability of the three-eyed race, combined with the rational thinking structure of humans... this can indeed create a unique resonance talent.”

Gareen’s profile was even heavier.

His father was one of the ”Resentful Gold Warriors” leaders who died in the uprising on Stoker Star, and his metal arm was transplanted from his father’s remains.

His mother was a technical refugee bought by Vinard, working in basic education in the colony.

”No wonder his metal arm is so emotional.”

Ron realized:

”Not just a product of biological transformation, but also carrying the will and memory of a warrior.”

In the following days, he established a new teaching rhythm.

Mornings were for theoretical courses and group guidance, while in the afternoons he provided rotational one-on-one personal training.

This arrangement allowed each apprentice to receive targeted guidance but also compressed their self-training time.

.........

On the third afternoon, it was Gareen’s turn for personal guidance time.

The two of them went to the academy’s practice room, which was equipped with impact-absorbing mats and walls embedded with crystal arrays that monitored magic power fluctuations.

”Gareen, I want you to do an experiment.”

Ron pointed to a training blunt sword placed in the center of the practice room:

”Use your metal arm to touch that sword, but don’t think about ’using’ it, instead try to ’listen’ to it.”

Gareen was a bit puzzled but still followed the instruction and approached the training sword.

As his metallic fingers touched the hilt of the sword, he trembled slightly.

”I’m feeling something... but I can’t tell what it is.”

He looked at Ron in confusion:

```
