Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1491  Chosen Mate

Quinlan raised his hand, examining his dark gauntlet.

He already knew.

Heʼd known since the moment he opened his eyes after the trial.

The memory surfaced on its own. The dome. The rose-colored mist. Nyxara pinned beneath him, her body arching, her pride shattering, and the moment his elements had fused under pressure so immense that something new was born from the collision.

Electricity - better known as Elemental Lightning.

He hadnʼt cast a spell. There was no predetermined shape. No preset cost. No system-defined output. The lightning had materialized from the raw friction of Wind spinning through Water-fluidity and grounding through Earth-density. It had arced between their bodies like it belonged there, like it had always been waiting for the right conditions to exist.

Ever since Black Fang donated him an Electromancer, Quinlan had access to the lightning element. But it lived inside his Elemental Sovereign class as a deviant element, locked into predetermined spell shapes. Fixed mana cost. Fixed output. Fixed form. The same restrictions applied to all his elemental spells at the time.

But when heʼd unlocked Avatar of the Elements and his four basic elements evolved into Manipulation types, the deviants stayed behind. Wind, water, fire, and earth became limitless. Lightning, ice, and magma remained caged.

Heʼd stopped using them entirely. Casting a preset lightning bolt when he could sculpt a hurricane with his bare hands felt like picking up a slingshot after learning to throw mountains.

Heʼd even asked the Soul Records about it.

”I have access to magma, ice, and lightning, but theyʼre still stuck at the elemental stage. I was hoping for another trial. Something to force mastery over the deviant elements as well.”

The response had been instant.

[Gain mastery independently.]

Dismissed outright.

ʼWhen I tried to call on them, they didnʼt respond. Thatʼs why I was operating under the impression that I needed those strange elemental elixirs for the deviant elements as well.ʼ

ʼBut Iʼm not the same as I was back then.ʼ

A giggle echoed through the back of his mind.

Proud and sly.

Then Nyxara returned in full.

Her presence meshed against his like a second skin. The tattoos along his back flared crimson, and he felt her again. The phantom weight of her body pressed against his back. Her chin resting on his shoulder. Her breath on his neck. Her fingers tracing slow circles over his heart.

Her voice was soft. Quiet in a way Quinlan had rarely heard from her.

A pause came before she sighed.

The softness in her voice ached.

Quinlan said nothing.

Her phantom fingers stopped tracing circles.

The tattoos pulsed.

Her presence shifted. The softness hardened. The warmth became heat. The phantom embrace tightened, and when she spoke again, her voice was no longer a soft murmur.

It was steel.

Every tattoo on his body ignited at once. Crimson fire raced along his shoulders, back, and chest, burning through the black armor in veins of light that pulsed with her heartbeat and his in perfect sync.

Her voice rose.

The crimson veins blazed brighter.

Her presence burned against his spine like a brand.

Quinlanʼs lips curved behind the helmet.

This woman.

Heʼd bedded women of many races. Heʼd heard confessions whispered in the dark and declarations screamed across battlefields. But Nyxaraʼs words... They came from a billions-year-old creature who had killed her own fated mate and wandered the world alone until she found him.

And chose him.

His heart lit up. Just for a moment. A warmth that had nothing to do with mana or elements or physiques.

Then he put it away and got to work.

The memory of the trial was still fresh. The lightning that had arced between his body and Nyxaraʼs hadnʼt come from a spell but from friction. Wind spinning through water, grounding through earth, generating a charge that discharged on contact.

Heʼd created lightning from its component elements.

That mightʼve been the key the Soul Records had been pointing at.

The four elemental elixirs heʼd consumed hadnʼt given him Manipulation over wind, water, fire, and earth. Theyʼd expanded his pathways enough for the Avatar of the Elements class to evolve his control from preset shapes to freeform sculpting. The elixirs were catalysts, not the source.

The source was him. His body. His pathways. His capacity to channel.

And the Abyssal Genesis Physique had deepened all of it.

The evolution from the Primordial Trial hadnʼt given him a new element, nor did it unlock a hidden spell. What it had done was stabilize and widen every mana pathway in his body, increasing his capacity to hold, circulate, and compress elemental energy simultaneously. The trialʼs reward was potential. Raw, unformed, waiting to be shaped by the wielder.
