Dragon-Marked War God

Chapter 3006 – The Kneeling Great Emperor

Jiang Chen used the Great Void Technique and avoided the Heavenly Dragon Knights attacks. However, the gap in their strength was too great. He took great effort to avoid them but still got injured. Still, he was excited from the exchange as his senses improved greatly.

More importantly, Jiang Chen saw the value of these seven Dragon Knights. If these knights could be subdued and be made into his, then, it’d be a great addition to his arsenal. This would increase his odds in saving Dragon Shisan and his battle against the whole Profound Connection Divine Palace.

However, Jiang Chen understood that he could not face the Heavenly Dragon Knights after some time. There were lesser gaps for him to avoid their attacks. He started to feel pressured from their attacks. Not even the Ghost Prison Ashura Sword Formation could take them down, it was a pity but he had to get away now.

Jiang Chen used the Great Void Technique again and finally got away from the Heavenly Dragon Knights’ pursuit.

The white jade door was ancient and grand, and there were kneeling corpses in front of the door. The corpses were still as new as it was frozen by the terrifying cold qi. Among the corpses, there is one emitting great despair.

“It’s a person!” Dou Tianhuang squinted his eyes as he observed the second door blocking his path.

“To be able to emit such a powerful aura after being dead for so many years, unbelievable..” The Third Elder said.

“That person is nailed onto the door by a blade.” Dou Tianhuang looked at the person with a confused expression.

Although he’s dead, the terror and despair he had was something that could not be understood.

The killing intent coming from the blade could not be hidden.

“Such a powerful killing intent coming from that blade!” The Third Elder sighed, as his gaze was fixed upon that blade.

The killing intent was suffocating, and it was definitely stronger than the crystal sword from before.

“That blade’s killing intent is very strong, I believe Third Elder is unsuited for it. Hehehe.” Dou Tianhuang laughed.

“Oh? Hmph, that’s some pretty words, just admit that you want the blade.” Third Elder sneered.

“Let’s see who’s going to get it.” Dou Tianhuang and Third Elder’s eyes clashed.

Although Dou Tianhuang was just a Peak Mid Hierarch, he could definitely face the Third Elder if it comes to a fight.

“You’re not my match.” Third Elder said, unfazed.

“We won’t know if we don’t try. Your men are all gone now, I’m not afraid of you if you’re alone.” Dou Tianhuang shouted at the Third Elder.

Powerful shockwave was created from their clash. Third Elder’s attack was vicious and Dou Tianhuang used his formation art to defend against it. Dou Tianhuang was at a disadvantage against the elder. Third Elder wanted to kill Dou Tianhuang with his palm strike.

The blade was powerful, he must not allow Dou Tianhuang to obtain it.

“F*ck off!”

Third Elder’s palm struck upon Dou Tianhuang, the latter was pushed back and tripped thanks to the corpse. Dou Tianhuang cussed but his eyes widened as he saw the face of that corpse.

“Stop!!!” Dou Tianhuang shouted.

Third Elder was startled. This fella… is he trying to surrender?

“I don’t want the sword anymore.” Dou Tianhuang said.

“Really?” Third Elder frowned.

Third Elder knew that he would need to take a great deal of effort to defeat and might even receive a great injury if they continued to fight. It would be detrimental for the exploration, he was happy if Dou Tianhuang wanted to stop.

“Because I found something more important than the sword.” Dou Tianhuang said.

He recognised the person, because his face was recorded in the clan’s ancestral hall. The Sixth Ancestor of the Battle God Clan, one of the strongest ancestors after the founding ancestor of the clan. An individual that might possibly even surpass the founding ancestor! Everyone within the clan knew about that! Invincible even in the Central Region Divine Land. The Sixth Ancestor was deemed to be the strongest in existence. He, who had reached the Emperor Realm, had led the Battle God Clan towards its prime.

However, a part of that history was missing as the Sixth Ancestor went missing. The Battle God Clan then started to lose its influence, losing its rank; they could not even call themselves as the top three clans of the Northern Cold Divine Region.

“Is it truly… the Sixth Ancestor?” Dou Tianhuang said as he shivered and squinted his eyes.

If it’s really the Sixth Ancestor, then I will surely be rewarded greatly when I return to the clan, the body of an Emperor Realm expert is precious, definitely on-par with a Primal Origin Treasure.

“The Sixth Ancestor of the Battle God Clan? Are you sure?” Third Elder’s expression changed.

He was well-versed in the history of the recent billions of years, the most powerful ancestor of the Battle God Clan, how could he not know about it?

That was a Great Ancient Emperor!

“Yes, he’s my clan’s Sixth Ancestor, Dou Shifang!”

Dou Tianhuang could feel the resonance in his blood. Although the ancestor might have died many years ago, the resonance was real, plus, that face of his was definitely the one that was inscribed in the Ancestral Hall.

“Dou Shifang, the most prominent and powerful Emperor of the Battle God Clan after the ancient age, went missing without any news. It’s precisely because of this that the clan started to decline, to think a hero such as him died in this unnamed tomb.” Third Elder’s lips became somewhat dried as he felt an unknown terror.
