The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1582: Chapter 1582: Only the Phone Remains, but No One Else

Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan have already reached the 24th floor, but they didn’t see the nanny.

Little Taotie stared at the small blue dot on the phone: ”She should still be upstairs.”

Hua Jinyan approached the stairway, lowering his voice: ”We’ll have to go up the stairs.”

”Alright, let’s keep our voices down and walk quietly.” Little Taotie demonstrated, tiptoeing upwards.

It was very dark above; Little Taotie perked up his ears to listen, but apart from the breathing of Hua Jinyan and himself, he didn’t hear a third person breathing.

”No one’s here.” Little Taotie whispered.

Hua Jinyan directly took out his phone flashlight.

Behind the iron railing was the mechanical structure of the large clock, with no one here.

”Look!” Little Taotie pointed to the ground beside the iron railing, where a lone phone lay.

”It’s the nanny’s phone!” Little Taotie ran over, picked up the phone to check, and found the back cover had a sticker of him and the nanny.

Little Taotie squeezed the phone tightly, his childish voice with a touch of sobbing: ”The nanny’s phone was left here, the location signal broke here, where did the nanny go, we can’t find her... What if she was tricked by a bad man and sold in the mountains...”

”What kind of TV shows have you been watching?” Hua Jinyan rubbed his forehead: ”Calm down.”

”I’m so worried about her, I can’t calm down, what to do now, without any clues, what if something happened to her...” Little Taotie’s childish voice muttered incessantly.

Hua Jinyan reached out to take off the Rainbow Relic Beads Bracelet, but Little Taotie snapped out of his murmuring, flinched, and quickly stopped him, ”What are you doing!”

”Helping you find the nanny.”

”You mean...” Little Taotie’s eyes lit up: ”Ask the Ghost?”

”Yes, nearby, there should be Ghosts hovering around; such dark places are where they usually like to hide, maybe they saw when the nanny came by.”

”Wait a moment before you take it off, I’ll let Feng Qi look around.”

Little Taotie shook the Horse-Faced Bell, but Feng Qi didn’t come out; instead, Feng Qi’s two disciples appeared.

Ghost Sister and her husband were both taken as disciples by Feng Qi, but Feng Qi was actually like a careless boss who left books and Jade Slips for them to self-study.

”Little Master, what can I do for you?” It was not clear when Ghost Sister’s husband started calling Little Taotie ”Little Master.” Little Taotie had corrected him several times, but he was not very obedient, and Little Taotie gradually got used to it.

”Where is Feng Qi?” Little Taotie asked.

Ghost Sister replied: ”Master went to the auction.”

”Went to the auction again...” Little Taotie sighed, not knowing when Feng Qi would be able to find all the mountain souls.

”Do me a favor, check if there are any Ghosts that passed by the clock tower, do they know if the nanny was taken away by a bad man?”

”As you command, Little Master.” Ghost Sister’s husband floated out with Ghost Sister.

Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan didn’t wait for Ghost Sister to return; instead, the brothers arrived first.

Little Taotie heard the sounds of footsteps and breathing and faintly heard Third Brother’s voice: ”There is a staircase here, probably upstairs.”

Little Taotie leaned toward the stairway and called out: ”Third Brother?”

”Little Sister!” The voices of Cheng Guodong, Qin Xin, and Gu Yixing rang out simultaneously.

”You don’t need to come up. We’re coming down.” Hua Jinyan said as he held Little Taotie’s hand and started descending.

”What’s the situation up there?” Gu Yixing inquired.

Little Taotie stretched out his hand, holding the nanny’s phone, ”Only found the phone, the nanny isn’t upstairs.”

The three exchanged glances, wanting to scold Little Taotie for risking coming over alone, but swallowed their words upon seeing her worried face, knowing she was concerned for the nanny. It wasn’t the time to lecture her.

Cheng Guodong said: ”I’ve had surveillance cameras checked; they should be caught on camera if they went outside from here.”

Cheng Guodong’s phone rang, and he received a call. He came back with a frown: ”Surveillance caught them entering the building but didn’t catch them coming back down. The elevator camera footage shows them taking it directly to the 24th floor; they didn’t take the elevator back down.”

Qin Xin frowned: ”There are two possibilities. One, they took the stairs down to a floor below the 24th and didn’t leave the building; they are still in this building. The other possibility is that someone tampered with all the surveillance.”
