The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1554: Chapter 1554: It’s Hard to Spoil My Little Sister

The alarm sang out loud, but Little Taotie stayed under the blanket, unwilling to get up.

Actually, she was fully awake, but she just didn’t want to get up, thinking about her missing tooth... if her classmates saw it, they’d surely laugh at her!

Although she already had a way to cover it up, she was still a bit worried that it might not work.

Downstairs, her brothers were gathered around the dining table, occasionally looking up at the stairs, waiting for Little Taotie to come down.

Tao Bin, who was impatient, paced back and forth: ”Why isn’t she coming down yet? If she doesn’t hurry, she’ll be late.”

Qin Xin took out his phone, ”I’ll text the class teacher.”

Seeing him slowly send the message, Cheng Guodong couldn’t wait any longer and directly pressed down on his phone, ”Let me call the class teacher instead!”

Qin Xin put away his phone and nodded: ”Alright. How do you plan to talk to the teacher? Say she overslept? Or deceive the teacher, saying she has a prior commitment this morning and can’t make it?”

”This...” Cheng Guodong privately wanted to say that his sister was late because of work, but on second thought, it didn’t seem right to lie to the teacher.

Qin Xin seemed to see the answer in his dilemma and sighed: ”Don’t lie, do you want to set a bad example?”

”Is telling the truth not good either?” Cheng Guodong frowned.

”Let me send the text instead then.”

Cheng Guodong looked at him and could only nod: ”Then let me see it before you send it.”

Qin Xin nodded and lowered his head to edit the message.

Gu Yixing’s phone kept vibrating; it was his agent sending him today’s work schedule.

”Your phone is vibrating constantly,” Tao Bin reminded him.

Gu Yixing shrugged: ”I can’t be bothered to check it.”

Seeing that he wasn’t paying attention, Tao Bin didn’t say anything further, instead looking upstairs with concern, ”Why hasn’t our sister come downstairs yet? Maybe... I should go up and check?”

”She went to bed late last night, she’s probably just sleeping. Don’t go wake her, let her wake up naturally,” Gu Yixing quickly stopped him.

Tao Bin hesitated: ”Don’t you think... you’re spoiling her too much?”

As her actual brother, Tao Bin felt that if she overslept, she should be woken up; after all, school shouldn’t be delayed.

In the Tao Family, even though the previous fake sister was very good at acting cute and got parental love, the parents never spoiled her. Even if staying in bed felt cozy during winter, if she hid under the blanket and refused to come out, the family wouldn’t indulge her, fearing she’d never leave the room, they’d turn off the heating and even switch it to cold air to force her out.

If Little Taotie were in the Tao Family, she’d probably get similar treatment, right?

Thinking about this, Tao Bin started to zone out a bit.

Gu Yixing didn’t know what he was thinking, but seeing him a bit distracted, he frowned, ”Is this considered spoiling? Frankly speaking, if she didn’t want to go to school, we would hire a tutor to come home and teach her, we wouldn’t make her get up early and revolve around school, instead we’d ask the tutor to arrange lessons according to her schedule.”

Tao Bin listened to Gu Yixing’s words and started to question reality: ”Aren’t you afraid of spoiling her?”

”Spoiling?” Gu Yixing shook his head with amusement: ”If it were possible to spoil her, we’d gladly spoil her rotten, hoping she’d become a pampered little princess! Unfortunately, her nature is what it is, it’s hard to spoil her; she wakes up without being prompted, balances studying and work well, does everything excellently, doesn’t need any management! Sometimes when we ask her to rest, she won’t listen!”

Tao Bin was stunned for a moment, murmuring softly: ”Her nature is there... hard to spoil...”
