The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1342: Chapter 1342: Gentle Yet Polite

”Ha!” Cheng Guodong said coldly, ”For cooperative partners who lack contract spirit, my stance is to terminate the contract.”

”Chairman Cheng, please let me explain—”

”Beep beep beep—”

Hearing the sound of the phone being hung up, the director panicked and dialed again.

Calling again, the other party was on a call...

This happened several times.

The director realized that he had been blacklisted.

Just when the director was wondering if he should fly to Hua Country, a call came in from an unfamiliar number.

Without much thought, he answered it directly.

On the other end, a gentle but polite male voice said, ”Hello, I am Little Taotie’s lawyer, and I’d like to discuss the termination of the contract with you.”

”No, I haven’t thought about terminating the contract.”

”But Chairman Cheng intends to terminate the contract with you.”

”I want to talk to Chairman Cheng, please, can you hand the phone to him?”

”Sorry, I am not at Chairman Cheng’s office.”

”Please, go find him and hand him the phone—”

Before the director could finish, he was interrupted by that same gentle yet undeniable voice, ”Sorry, I am not obliged to do so.”

The director was at a loss for words for a moment.

The gentle, polite voice gave him no opportunity to speak, reciting a series of breach clauses in the original contract, and concluded, ”You have breached the contract. We can directly terminate the agreement.”

The negotiation for termination had turned into the direct termination of the contract.

The director feared that if he let this person continue, he might end up having to pay compensation.

The director was a bit scared.

”Is there no room for negotiation?”

”Hmm.”

”Is Chairman Cheng determined to terminate?”

”Chairman Cheng intends to negotiate a termination and offer you some compensation, but as a lawyer, I see no need for that. You’ve breached several clauses, so a more straightforward method is to directly terminate the contract. What do you think?”

The director wanted to curse.

He took a deep breath, ”What are the consequences if we don’t terminate?”

The lawyer laughed, ”Do I need to explain? You’re a top graduate from a prestigious university, neither illiterate nor ignorant of the law. You should be aware, right?”

The director was somewhat defeated, ”Will you sue me?”

The lawyer laughed again, ”Suing you would give you a chance to create a buzz. You might even hire people to smear our Zaizai. Such a waste of money won’t be a chance I’ll let you have.”

The director was silent.

In fact, he did have some petty calculations in his mind.

If the other party sued, he could hype it up, as there had been collaboration before. Suddenly not cooperating anymore couldn’t be just one’s fault, as people often say it takes two to tango. With proper maneuvering, even if he lost the lawsuit and had to pay, the benefits might exceed the losses.

But these thoughts were seen through by the lawyer, leaving the director with a chill.

The lawyer made him feel uneasy and fearful.

Sure enough, the lawyer continued in that gentle but ruthless voice, ”Chairman Cheng’s business has already reached overseas, with partners including those in Little Ghost Takes Charge. Chairman Cheng himself has invested some. If you don’t terminate the contract obediently and escalate things, this show won’t exist. It’s already controversial to film a show with minors living alone, isn’t it?”

The director felt a chill, his voice trembling, ”Chairman Cheng can’t control everything. It’s not up to him!”

The lawyer, with the gentlest voice, spoke the cruelest words, ”If Chairman Cheng’s power alone isn’t enough, adding Mr. Qin Xin, Ms. Gu Lanxin, Hua’s, and the Tao family’s influence, do you think the Little Ghost Takes Charge show will still exist? Oh, maybe even the past seasons could be banned. What a pity.”
