The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1272: Chapter 1272: Helen Had an Episode

Wukong grinned: “Same guilt, same guilt! We are brothers and sisters, live and die together!”

Helen burst out laughing, seeing the strand of hair on top of Wukong’s head stand up again. She reached out to press it down, “Why is this hair standing up again?”

Wukong’s face fell, and he sighed: “My mom cut my hair, messed it up here, it always sticks up on its own, there’s nothing I can do.”

Helen’s eyes lit up: “Then let me cut it again, if I trim it shorter it won’t stick up!”

Wukong protected his head and darted around: “No, no, stay away from me!”

Helen chased after him with a pair of scissors.

Tom held his forehead: “Helen, that’s dangerous, put the scissors down!”

Helen ran after Wukong laughing loudly: “I want to cut Wukong’s hair—oh!” Helen stopped abruptly, the scissors fell to the ground, and she clutched her chest with her small hand.

“Helen, what’s wrong?” Tom rushed over to help her.

Wukong stopped running too, and turned back to assist.

Little Taotie, Hua Jinyan, and Li Dahe all ran over, even the usually lazy Zhuge Xunming dashed over anxiously this time.

Helen sat on the ground gasping, rubbing her chest, took out a pill and swallowed it, her lips a bit pale, “It’s fine, it’s an old problem, it’ll be okay after taking the medicine.”

…

Director: “Is she… really okay?”

Helen’s mother looked at her daughter in the camera sympathetically, sighed softly: “Helen said that rather than live cautiously, she would rather live a few years less and live like a normal person.”

Helen’s father hugged his wife and nodded: “It’s okay, it’ll be fine after taking the medicine.”

Director pursed his lips: “Should we let the doctor take a look?”

Since the guests are all kids, the crew has a doctor on hand.

Helen’s father shook his head: “Helen doesn’t want to be singled out, nor does she want to be pitied.”

The director nodded, a complex expression on his face.

…

Zhuge Xunming frowned at Helen, who was starting to regain color in her face and lips, “Do you have a heart condition?”

Helen nervously gripped her sleeve and shook her head immediately: “No, I don’t!”

Zhuge Xunming persisted, asking: “Then what medication did you take just now?”

Helen’s eyes darted around, then she lowered her gaze: “Medicine for acute gastroenteritis, I just had some raw salmon, and my stomach suddenly hurt.”

Zhuge Xunming’s mouth twitched: “Am I blind? I clearly saw you clutching your chest.”

Helen held her stomach and shook her head: “You saw wrong, I was clutching my stomach, it’s just close to the heart.”

Zhuge Xunming wanted to say more, but Tom quietly tugged at him.

Zhuge Xunming pursed his lips and didn’t press further.

Helen moved next to Little Taotie, hugging Little Taotie’s arm, “Little Taotie takes medicine too, it’s vitamins and calcium supplements, I’m similar to Little Taotie, I also take some nutritional supplements, it doesn’t mean we’re sick.”

Little Taotie blinked, looked at Helen, then at the serious-faced Zhuge Xunming.

She felt Helen was lying, but she didn’t want to expose her.

Zhuge Xunming averted his gaze and didn’t look at Helen anymore.

Helen secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

She has a heart condition, a severe congenital heart disease. The doctor said if she doesn’t get a matching heart before twenty, her heart will fail until she dies.

Her parents didn’t hide anything from her and told her clearly about her condition, letting her choose whether to live like a normal person or like a delicate flower protected in a greenhouse, unable to run or jump.

Helen didn’t want to live like a fragile flower, she wanted to live like resilient grass.

She wanted to be able to withstand rain, be stepped on, be battered by winds and thunder, to be able to fully embrace everything from this world, as both lightning and rain are gifts from the world.
