The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 789: Chapter 789 Seriously Sophistical

After seizing the opportunity, everything that followed depended solely on his own effort and luck.

This was a dream come true; he danced and sang with all his might.

Even though he was ridiculed for being fat, he just smiled and said, ”I will become the best dancer in the Fatty Community!”

Because he didn’t give up and wasn’t self-deprecating, he drew the attention of many.

Fans’ preferences are always changing.

They may like a beautiful appearance, but they won’t miss an interesting soul.

To the fans, he was a soft, dancing, and interesting fat man.

Although being eliminated in the top fifty was an expected outcome, his journey wasn’t in vain, as he caught the attention and interest of his current agent.

After the competition, the agent contacted him, and they signed a contract.

It’s worth mentioning that his contract with the original company had already expired.

The relationship between agent and artist had long since turned into that of employer and employee. He was behind-the-scenes staff, under an ordinary labor contract, and could leave if he submitted his resignation notice and the two parties agreed.

When leaving the original company, he still remembered the mocking facial expression of the company boss, who thought he was a delusional, doomed fatso dreaming of stardom, and who felt giving him a behind-the-scenes job was already a big favor. Yet he was unappreciative, wanting to resign and become a star.

The underlying message was that no agency would take an interest in a hopeless fat man like him; he would have no future and possibly no bookings, leading to not having enough to eat.

Even though his current agency was smaller than his previous one, he felt much freer here, and people were more like family and friends.

He addressed his current agent as ”Bro,” and indeed, the agent treated him like a younger brother.

Seeing his old photos and learning about his struggles with illness, his agent was deeply moved and spent a considerable sum on a nutritionist and personal trainer for him.

With a tailored diet and fitness plan, along with his expectations and effort for the future, he managed to slim down and return to the point of being 180cm tall and weighing 130kg.

”Time-Space Monster Management Bureau” was his first job after officially debuting, and initially, he had declined it. Although it was a variety show, it felt more like acting, which he was not skilled at. However, his agent told him that Ji Guang was among the show’s regular guests.

In fact, the role he filmed didn’t involve scenes with Ji Guang, as it followed the aftermath of the eight characters leaving ancient times.

But he treasured the opportunity and privately conquered many books on acting.

The agent took a sip from a bottle of Coke on the desk, grabbed a sausage from the plate, and glanced at him sideways, ”Have you become indulgent now that you’ve lost weight? Be careful about gaining it back!”

Li Yilong seriously argued, ”The Coke is sugar-free. Coke was originally used as a military cough syrup, and I’ve been straining my throat with singing practice lately. I’m using it as cough syrup. The sausages I bought are starch-free pure meat, fried in an air fryer. Bro, you should know about the principles of the air fryer, right?”

The agent glared at him, ”I don’t.”

Li Yilong gave a sheepish grin, ”The air fryer doesn’t use a drop of oil. It uses the oil within the food itself. Technically, it’s healthier because it extracts the fat from the food...”

The agent stuffed a sausage into his mouth to silence him, ”Shut it! No matter how you argue, it will still cause a Maillard reaction.”
