Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2474 Return

The target was burning with those dark orange flames with a slight black hue.

He screamed in agony as if his soul was set on fire. The burn was slow and gradual, but extremely potent. For some reason, his life was intact for way longer than it should have been possible.

Even as the flesh burned and fell off his bones, he was still alive.

The painful death made the spectators shiver in fright. Particularly, when they remembered how easily it was executed.

All they remember is the fact that the Gambler academy team came after them. The ambush was quick, precise.

The attack landed on the target, because there were a bunch of those attacks aimed at him. Then, the target stepped into that cube, and they donʼt even know how it came to be.

Once the cube was activated, the gambler academy just landed a couple of more hits to reduce his defense and keep him occupied. To give the time to the little cube to do its thing. And that was all.

The rest was just a long and grueling process of slow burning someone to death.

The first target was down.

Before the opponents could make sense of their situation, Sam already sent the location and details of their next target along with a plan.

It was from Athena academy and the opponents didnʼt expect it. The first and second targets didnʼt have any relation, common point and they werenʼt even that close. It appeared like a random pick and in fact, it was.

Sam randomly picked a member and dealt with them.

It didnʼt take more than half an hour to take down a target. Even less as the time passed and the Gambler team used to it.

The opponents slowly started understanding the depth of their situation.

The ambushes, using tactics, dealing with Quinzz and all the forces he brought. They were all childʼs play compared to what they experienced.

One target after the other were slowly and gradually targeted. They were all taken down. Their weaknesses worked against them. They were helpless and died in the most painful way possible.

Soon, some of the squads crumbled down in morale. The gambler academy attacks came out of nowhere. They were sneaky and unavoidable.

So, the opponents tried to leave the planet. And then they faced their true worst nightmare. Whenever someone used a space gate, something came out of thin air and exploded the gate, destabilizing it and creating a massive space rift.

There were dozens of space rifts like that.

The green portal and the wormholes were covered with the special barricade Sam created. The one that turned every hopeful escapee into bloody mist with no trace of their lives left behind.

The opponents realized their situation.

Hundreds of them, all of them were trapped in that planet and they are going to die one by one. Soon, the half an hour hits turned to ten minute hits and then to the five minute hits.

The forces that numbered in hundreds trickled down to dozens.

Meanwhile…

The outside world, the academy realm was completely oblivious to this. The three academies involved. The Hephaestus academy, the athena academy and the Gambler academy… all three of them were awaiting the results of this confrontation.

The tensions between the three academies increased to a new high and its spread across the grades. Sam already took a solo win against the second grades. So, the third grade conquests are a bit too important.

And they all knew how valuable a graveyard planet is.

Days passed with those tensions raising and of course the spectators were eager to let these giants knock each other out. They are waiting to pick up the pieces any moment.

Ling Tian of course as the person in charge of look over Samʼs maniacal activities was most concerned.

After Sam bodied the whole second grade and moved up to the third grade, only Ling Tian and the Hazielʼs team was kept in loop. He went to the graveyard realm in disguise.

So, he was more anxious than ever.

The other elders observed this situation and after one week, one of them asked.

”Ling Tian, you are getting worked up over this. And the whole thing is a bit weird. Not a single person came out of that portal in a week. There must be something wrong. We might even have to assume the worst.

How about initiating a peace deal with the other two academies?

We can reduce the damage on other fronts. They are already feeling the pressure. I heard the other academies are being rallied by these two. Samʼs technology is a very enticing thing to get them all together.

The only reason they are stopping now is to ensure the Hephaestus and the Athena academies incur more damage.

To increase their losses.

We need to make a move before they change their minds.

Ling Tian sighed.

”Donʼt worry about it. Thatʼs not what I am worried about.”

”Then?”

”I donʼt want to talk about it. But as far as I know, our team must still be in decent shape. The only thing I am worried about is that there was no arrival from the portal. That was all.

But not for the reasons you think.

Just leave me alone and keep an eye on the portal all day.”

He didnʼt even finish the words when he got the news that the portal opened up, and the Gambler team members, a few of them, walked out.

What shocked everyone though, was the man in lead for the Gambler team.

The news blew up. All the academies elders and the Deans were alerted.

By the time Ling Tian arrived at the portal, he was already a bit late. Dozens of auras pressed down on Sam. Pressuring him to take a knee.

He was on the verge of snapping, when Ling Tian appeared.

With a snap of his fingers, the pressure on Sam was gone.

He helped Sam get up and asked.

”What happened inside?”
