Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

2150  Tension and Shock

Back in the Olympian region, Academy realm.

Christos is waiting patiently in his office. He is looking at the ceiling counting seconds. Even though he looked dazed and lost, all of his attention is actually focused on the wrist band. He was hoping for Joker to contact him.

He was hoping that he wouldnʼt have to wield that sword he brandished. That sword being the Shadow Cavalry.

The Vlachous familyʼs secret weapon. One of many, but also one of a kind in its own right. Their speciality? With every battle they go stronger both in quantity and quality. All the while drowning their targets in shadows making their existence all but a glimpse of the past.

Whenever they were deployed, it always ended in irredeemable destruction. Even though he understood that he was scammed by the Hub and his own greed, he still wished to make use of that wonderful venue. And in his opinion that might not be possible if the shadow cavalry had their way with it.

Soon, it is the time he set for Joker. And there is no response.

He sighed and walked to the woods in resignation. If he could have his own way, he wouldnʼt do it. He would go back on the threat. But there is too much at stake here. He needs to make sure that the Zeus Academy and the rest of the Olympian region is stable.

If they are not, then the noble league would be in danger.

He can afford to let go of the benefits of the Hub for that. With those heavy thoughts, he reached the woods all alone. It was already a bit dark, but there is a particular part of the woods that is extremely dark.

Christos went there and spoke.

”I am your acting commander for now. Tonight, I want you to launch an attack at the person named Icarus.”

He paused and projected a picture of Icarus.

”He will be at these coordinates.”

He then showed the coordinates of the Hub. *GRUNT*

All he got was a grunt of acknowledgment from the other side and in fact, that is all he needed.

”If by midnight, I didnʼt give any orders. You can proceed with the attack. Your goal is to kill him and retreat. Kill him at any cost.”

That is all he said and then he left. He sighed. He wanted to make them launch an attack immediately. But in the last moment, he changed his mind. It just slipped and he went along with it.

He really wished he didnʼt have this exhaustive responsibility.

It is draining him.

While Christos made his way back to the office with a heavy heart, Icarus who saw the whole thing is also nervous.

As soon as Christos sent a message through the virtual projection, he received. He made the surveillance focus more on Christos. He heard the words ʼShadow Cavarlyʼ and his heart turned cold.

He knew more about the Olympian families than anyone else. He knew things about the families that even some of the family members didnʼt know. So, he obviously heard about the shadow cavalry and this made him nervous.

No one knows exactly what its strength is, but from what he heard every time they come out, they kill, they destroy and they disappear.

They are used to assassinate targets of Divine Plane Pre-transcendence to Initial and middle stages of the Divine Plane Consummate stage. Icarus happens to be in that category.

Even more than that, he is afraid of them more because of the mystery surrounding them. Nobody has ever seen the shadow cavalry. Maybe except for the family head of the Vlachous family might have seen them before. Apart from him, nobody did. In fact, there are some family heads within the history of the Vlachous family that didnʼt get a single glimpse.

Even now, when Christos went and talked to them, all he saw was the black patch.

They didnʼt even bother to speak to him. However, he didnʼt show any displeasure and left. The same Christos who trolled the crap out of his senior. The same arrogant Christos who is in charge of the decisions that decide the position of Noble league, just let it slide when faced with such a situation.

With every passing minute Icarusʼ tension grew.

However, Sam did say a few words before he left.

”When you believe you are facing an opponent that you might not win against, even if that opponent is an Elder of the Academy, just stay inside the Hub and tell the hub to take over.

If the opponent is on par with the Strongest elders and even the Deans, then just use the emergency space gate to leave the place. It will inform the rest of the managers and they will escape as well.”

He repeated those words in his head.

Sam was very casual when he said it. And he was also confident. This gave a slight boost to Icarus, but he still wished that Sam comes back. He would be more at ease, if Sam is here to take care of this upcoming threat.

Of course, just because he wished, doesnʼt mean it would happen.

He just went to the special room created for a situation like this. It is a small room with a bunch of screens that gave a complete view of all the corners of the Hub and the city surrounding it.

If the overall city surveillance is focused on the Olympian city as a whole, then this is ultra focused on this small region. Even if an insect farts, they would know.

He waited there, observing every single spot. Not wanting to miss anything. But he also got ready. Even though he is afraid, apart of him is urging to find out if he can get away from the shadow cavalry unscathed.

While things are like this…

Somewhere else, in one of the corners of the Thalassa territory.

The debauch young master that Sam targeted is packing around in his room while biting his nails.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

Someone knocked on the door and came inside. It was a woman, another one who dressed raunchily. However, her aura didnʼt match with her dress at all. And why would it? She wasnʼt a sexy vixen, even if she looked like one. She is captain on the cityʼs scouting team.

As for why she had to dress like this… they are the rules. The rules enforced by the young master in front of her. In fact, not just her, every single person who works in the administrative tasks of the city with a considerable position is a woman and they all dress like this.

It is one of the twisted fetishes of this young master.

”Where is that bitch? Where did she go?”

He yelled as he looked the scout captain.

The scouting squad usually doesnʼt actively contribute to the city. Instead, they are a passive force only to be used for emergencies.

And it is easy to guess what this emergency is. The deputy who went out to deal with the foreign creatures that appeared, didnʼt come back.

He called for that teasing assistant to get the news regarding. After all, the whole point of her existence is for him to not do any work.

When the news reached it, he became furious. Not because of the deputyʼs disappearance, rather because the news reached him. In his opinion, it absolutely shouldnʼt come to him.

He told them to find that woman.

But she is nowhere to be seen and finally he came to his senses. He searched the whole city and after not finding a trace of her, he called for the scout captain.

Now the scout captain came to him with the results.

At least, he hoped she did.

”She left the city. She escaped. We believe she could be a spy and she might have known something about the pack of beasts that appeared.

We sent someone to check up on the pack. There is a good reason why the Deputy leader disappeared. The beast pack is huge and their strength is high. Right now, the pack is battling with the rest of the beasts in the forest. They are trying to occupy the forest. Some of the beasts even ran towards the city after suffering terrible defeat.

They were weakened by a large margin and that became a great day for the hunters.

They captured the beasts, alive and tried to heal them. Even though they managed to heal the physical injuries, there is something internally wrong with those beasts.

The reserve research squad is currently taking a look at them. They noticed that the hunters that captured these beasts are also showing similar symptoms to the beast.

All of this happened in the short time span. Between the report made by the assistant and now.

Young master. Your territory is in trouble. Give me your orders.”
