Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 1802 - 1802 Trap

1802 Trap

Time passed away quickly.

Sam finished with Dayus and he prepared the Dimensional drifter for him, Maya, and the rest of the kids to leave the place. He gave one look at the cave entrance and smiled before he left with all of them.

Meanwhile, deep within the tunnels connecting to the caves, there are a bunch of cultivators from different clans all roaming around. They all entered from different directions and since there is no accurate pathway, they have to make one of their own.

Of course, after they entered the tunnels, it is their task to navigate through this complex structure and find out the proper location for Sam and Maya.

The fact that they know the exact location is a plus and it made it a little bit easier for them to find this path.

The forces they deployed are no joke, they are high in strength and high in numbers and at every turning and crossroads, they split up and kept on searching. Of course, they also made sure that the other clans that came to know the location will not take the same path as them.

They have to defend against them also.

Everyone is vigilant and they are moving pretty quickly.

Soon after around thirty minutes later, the whole tunnel paths are filled with different people from these five clans. There are even some clashes here and there.

.....

But one of them also managed to find out the entrance to the cave and when he entered the cave, the scene in front of him surprised him.

Maya is not there as he expected. Instead, only Dayus is inside. He is tied to a stone pillar and his upper body is bare. On his muscular chest, there are two words imprinted.

“SAM’S BITCH”

The person who entered the cave was surprised as he looked at it, he looked around to see if he can find out anything.

At that time, a thought entered his mind.

‘Maya, her children, and their guardian escaped the place around an hour ago.’

This made him feel disappointed. They should have moved faster. He thought.

But even before the thought materialized fully in his head, the cave started glowing. The runes found out that this person entered and they fully detected their presence and were unlucky for him and the rest of the cultivators, that is the trigger.

The whole cave started glowing and Dayus’ restraints finally came off. He took out a token in an instant and broke it. He gave up on this competition. But the young man who entered saw Dayus’ face and body burning incessantly in this bright light.

He is scared for a second, but of course, after Dayus disappeared, his fear was redirected to the actual thing that could harm him. The light in the cave.

His body slowly started burning away and soon the blood started turning into vapor. He didn’t even have a chance to resist at all. Even the spiritual energy barrier is not working against this light.

The light soon started spreading out of the cave and went through all the pathways connected to it. Even though it is light, it behaved like a water stream.

It twisted and turned like the water would in this complex structure of cave tunnels and reached the end of all the entrances.

The clan leaders of the five clans are actually standing outside of these entrances and they sensed that something is extremely wrong when these light rays came out.

They could sense a vague hint of Divine energy within the light.

Before they could make sense of it, inside the cave every member of the clan that entered started burning and evaporating.

Just like that, Sam destroyed one-third forces of all five clans and the five clan masters witnessed it.

They immediately ran into the cave as soon as the light dissipated and then walked through the tunnels, all they could see were the skeletons left behind by their subordinates.

They are glistening as if they are polished. There is not even a trace of dust or ash much less some blood.

They didn’t even what to think of it, but before long, they all received some thoughts in their head.

“The guardian of Maya escaped with her and her children more than an hour ago. He set up a trap to kill all the people that entered the tunnels. You have lost this exchange.”

The clan leaders became grim. They didn’t expect such a thing. When they got a message from their gods about the location of Maya, they were stunned and excited. Particularly the clans that lost the children right under their noses.

So, when they learned that maya found a guardian who kidnapped the children from them and took them back to her, they were incensed and decided to take the opportunity.

They even took one-third of their forces from the front lines of the battles to get here and now they lost all of their forces, and didn’t even manage to take a glimpse of the children.

Meanwhile, somewhere far away in the woods, Sam and Maya are near a lake with the kids.

He sat at the bank of the lake as he closed his eyes.

There is one feature of the formations he left behind. It counts the number of casualties within the tunnels and when he learned the final number, he couldn’t help but feel a bit surprised.

“That is a very large number, I must say.”

He muttered as he fell into another deep thought. It is about the lethality of the formation he has set up. The trap he set up has two purposes, one of them is of course to kill all the invaders, but another one is to find out the lethality of the formation itself.

Because Sam used his recent learnings in the formation. The usage of resonance and amplification. It took a lot of his mental energy, his divine energy, and of course spiritual energy to deal with this. But they are all recoverable.

This means this is not the last time he would be able to use this method.

The thing that he is most concerned about is the actual level of damage he could do with it.

The amplification felt like a cheat to him. It almost seemed unnatural and he didn’t expect this principal would even work based on what he learned from the Osiris’ formation.

Basically, what Osiris has done is create a formation that records the energy structure of the attacks made by players when they killed the targets in the day mode.

In night mode, the formation used that energy structure to make the spiritual energy within the city resonate and create the same exact attacks.

Of course, it is not exactly accurate, but it is close enough.

So, Sam has been trying to do the same with the technique, and at the start, he only used it with his body as a medium. He is making the natural spiritual energy around him resonate with his attacks and imitate its energy structure creating an identical attack.

And now, he added his calculative mind to the equation.

With the mathematical grasp he had, it is a piece of cake for him to visualize the same attack on a much larger scale.

Simply put, if he can create a special wind blade of ten inches with a certain amount of energy, he can easily calculate and visualize what this special wind blade would need to be if it should be made into one of ten feet.

He can calculate the energy structure, energy requirement, and the factors that might influence its scalability of it, all of them in an instant. He had done the same with a lot of formations before. Now he is using the mental power of souls in a formation to help him spread consciousness and command the natural spiritual energy to imitate an attack on a large scale than it should be. With a higher amount of energy, he created this.

The cave incident is actually one of the higher-level tests he conducted until now. Even the attack on the Magman clan’s formation is considered lower than this.

He couldn’t help but sigh. He finally understood the extent of his current strength. He just wished that he could go back to the Dusk organization and implement this in their weapon systems, particularly the weapon systems around the cities.

The defenses and offense of the dusk organization will be invincible. If only he could go back once.

He shook his head in silence and then turned to Maya.

She is currently in a tent with a formation concealing her from Sam. She is breastfeeding her youngest child.

“Let me know when you are done. Let’s get out of here. We don’t have much time. If my guess is right, we only have a couple of hours before our location is revealed once again and in that time, not only do we need to reach our next destination, we even need to make some preparations.”

“I am almost done. Where are we going anyway?”

“To the Magman city.”

Sam said with a smile.
