Medical and Martial God

”Let’s go, time for breakfast!”

Ye Xiu was in high spirits and, carrying Jiaojiao, asked:

”Little glutton, what do you want to eat?”

Jiaojiao obediently replied, ”Master, Jiaojiao’s not picky, as long as there’s meat.”

”Alright, then Master will take you to eat big meat buns.”

”Oh, we’re going to eat big meat buns!”

Watching Ye Xiu walk away with Jiaojiao, ignoring her, Kristina cursed Ye Xiu in her heart.

After finishing her curse, she ran to catch up with Ye Xiu.

On the other side, the deputy director of the Order Department rushed to the government building, conveying the news about the little princess in Tiger City to the city lord.

The city lord was astonished and immediately gathered Tiger City’s big shots to visit the ”Nanxi Residence” to see the little princess, only to find Ye Xiu, Jiaojiao, and Kristina were eating.

So a group of big shots were waiting outside the Nanxi Residence.

This startled passersby quite a bit, wondering what kind of big figure lived in the Nanxi Residence to warrant the presence of all Tiger City’s big shots.

Word spread rapidly that a big figure lived in the Nanxi Residence...

”Where are we going now?”

After eating, Kristina asked.

”To Snowflake Creek,” Ye Xiu replied.

Kristina was taken aback, ”You’re going to find the Southern Lord?”

Ye Xiu nodded, ”Since we’re here at Nanshan Town, how can we not visit Pitchwinner?”

Kristina was secretly pleased, thinking Ye Xiu must be tired of living, going to the Southern Lord to court death.

This was perfect; once Ye Xiu died, she’d be free!

...

Snowflake Creek is a small stream at the foot of Nanshan, only three meters wide and quite shallow, only about ten centimeters deep, winding like a long snake, one end stretching to the depths of the mountains, the other connecting to the sea.

By the creek!

A middle-aged man dressed in white sat cross-legged, as immovable as a rock.

He was none other than the renowned ”Pitchwinner”... Southern Lord!

”Who goes there?”

The Southern Lord suddenly asked.

Ye Xiu, holding Jiaojiao, replied, ”Kendrick!”

Kristina was speechless at that moment; the Southern Lord’s nickname is Pitchwinner, and you just take a name like Kendrick?

”Never heard of it!”

The Southern Lord continued to sit cross-legged without turning his head:

”Mr. Kendrick, what brings you to Snowflake Creek?”

”To borrow the Sword Cottage Weapons Catalogue!” Ye Xiu replied.

Kristina was surprised; Ye Xiu came to find the Southern Lord for the Sword Cottage Weapons Catalogue.

”There’s still 7 days until the Sword Cottage’s once-in-a-decade disciple recruitment ceremony, you’re early,” the Southern Lord said.

This guy is basically the middle-aged version of Pressure King Dong Fangbai, just with more prestige and strength than Dong Fangbai.

Ye Xiu mentally critiqued the Southern Lord, saying:

”I’m not interested in joining the Sword Cottage, I just want to borrow the Weapons Catalogue!”

Up until now, he hadn’t fully researched the Dragon Sparrow Sword, Slaughter City Blade, Demon Blade, and Bronze Sword; he wanted to see if the Sword Cottage Weapons Catalogue had any records of these four Divine Weapons.

”Non-Sword Cottage disciples aren’t qualified to view the Weapons Catalogue!” the Southern Lord said, ”Please leave!”

Ye Xiu frowned, not expecting the Southern Lord to be so unreasonable.

So he squeezed Kristina, signaling her to speak on his behalf.

Kristina was furious but also amused to speak up:

”Southern Lord, it’s me, Kristina, please give me some face and lend Ye Xiu the Weapons Catalogue for a look!”

Ye Xiu sneered; Kristina’s words seemed to help him, but in reality, she revealed his name.

But he didn’t mind!

Sure enough!

”Ye Xiu?”

The Southern Lord finally stood up upon hearing Ye Xiu’s name, turned around to scrutinize ”Kendrick,” and asked:

”Are you the Xuanse Medicine King Ye Xiu wanted by the Judicator Families?”

”That’s me!” Ye Xiu admitted openly.

”You have some nerve; the Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom are all hunting you, and yet you dare come to King Island.”

The Southern Lord’s eyes became sharp, continuing:

”I heard the little princess led nearly three million Martial Artists from Cloud Mist Island, fought at Biluo Island, and was captured by Huang Quan, appearing here today. I thought the little princess escaped, but she was actually being held by you.”

Kristina was almost moved to tears; Southern Lord, you’re too clever, I am indeed still in danger.

She immediately said, ”Southern Lord, please kill Ye Xiu to save me!”

The Southern Lord stared at Ye Xiu, seeing his smiling, fearless face, curiously asking:

”You dare bring the little princess to see me, have your identity revealed by the little princess, yet remain so calm and confident, do you think you can defeat me?”

Ye Xiu shrugged noncommittally, saying:

”How about this, we’ll have a fight. If you win, I’ll hand Kristina to you, and my life is yours to dispose of; but if you lose, lend me the Sword Cottage Weapons Catalogue for two days, okay?”

Kristina scoffed, ”Ye Xiu, give it up, you’re not the Southern Lord’s match; besides, you’re right in front of the Southern Lord now, he could take you out in a heartbeat, he wouldn’t wager with you!”

”I’ll wager with you!” the Southern Lord said.

”What?” Kristina was furious; I just said you wouldn’t wager with Ye Xiu, and you agreed, deliberately slapping this princess’s face?

”The Judicator Families have issued a bounty, amassing national power to seize your head. I want to see what exceptional abilities you possess to warrant such a grand hunt,”

The Southern Lord said with keen interest, looking at Ye Xiu.

”Make your move!”

Ye Xiu said:

”I’m here today for the Weapons Catalogue, so I won’t use weapons, and I’ll let you take three moves!”

The Southern Lord chuckled, ”Even the little princess’s father Tu La wouldn’t dare speak of letting me take one move; you little guy dare boast so brazenly to let me take three moves.”

Saying this, he waved his hand, and from the creek behind him, a droplet of water floated up, transforming into a very small Water Sword.

With the Southern Lord’s right hand forming a Sword Finger, he pointed towards Ye Xiu, and the Water Sword seemed to traverse through time and space, suddenly appearing in front of Ye Xiu, shooting towards Ye Xiu’s left arm.

The Southern Lord was worried that attacking Ye Xiu’s vital areas might kill him, so he only aimed at Ye Xiu’s left arm, intending to teach Ye Xiu a lesson for his arrogance.

However!

When the Water Sword approached Ye Xiu’s left arm at ten centimeters distance, it suddenly vaporized.

”That’s the first move!” Ye Xiu calmly said, ”You have two more chances, after which I’ll strike!”

Kristina was stunned, although the Southern Lord hadn’t used his full strength in that move, Ye Xiu neutralized it so effortlessly, without even moving, evaporating the Southern Lord’s Water Sword into vapor.

”Sorry, my arrogance!”

The Southern Lord finally realized Ye Xiu had the capital for his arrogance, saying:

”Put the child down, the fight we’re about to have will be very intense, it’d be bad if she got hurt.”

At this point, Jiaojiao was riding on Ye Xiu’s neck.
