Slime Evolution

Chapter 137: 137 - Halon Momochi

[New Material Assimilated — Sharpened Instinct!]

[Evolution available.]

[Sharpened Instinct Level 1] - 30 Biomass

[The organism assimilates the synaptic patterns and nervous reflexes of an elite feline predator, increasing reaction speed by 5% per level.]

As soon as he assimilated this new evolution, Lohan felt as if his perception of the world had changed!

Obviously, it wasn’t a huge change, but the 5% increase in reaction speed that this evolution brought made him see everything around him with much greater clarity.

It wasn’t the expected sensation that everything was moving slower, like when a Speedster in a movie sees the world around him freeze; Lohan felt more as if he were more alert to everything happening around him, with the delay he felt while processing information decreasing significantly!

For someone who was used to seeing things through two human eyes, switching to 360-degree vision had already been a huge change, something he hadn’t even fully gotten used to yet because of the massive amount of information he was receiving at every moment.

But with this new Evolution, Lohan felt that the difficulty he experienced in processing all of this had decreased!

’So if I level up this evolution, will my difficulty decrease more and more, until it becomes perfectly natural for me?’ He thought excitedly, pondering both how to reduce this difficulty and how he would feel in the future with the improvements it would bring him.

Satisfied with this harvest, Lohan stored the rest of the Ocelot’s body in the [Astral Chest] and digested the Lizard’s brain next.

With his digestion speed, he could easily digest the Level 07 Ocelot’s body completely in a few moments, since the total amount of biomass there was very low, but with the new chest, Lohan chose to store the corpse there as a sort of refrigerator.

If during combat he needed Biomass or Mana, Lohan would use this food supply to recover and keep himself constantly healing... like health potions!

Digesting the Lizard’s brain was only slightly slower than the Ocelot’s, since this monster was Level 8.

From this Lizard, Lohan did not receive an Evolution, but a spell!

[Smoke Breath]

[Exhales gray smoke from the mouth, impairing the enemy’s vision.]

Reading that description, he was confused about how he would use it since he didn’t have a mouth!

Following his inner instincts, Lohan controlled his Mana just as he had observed in the Lizard’s memories, and suddenly gray smoke began to rise from all over his body, as if it were overflowing while slowly flooding the surroundings!

Although this magic served as an excellent method of concealment, it offered no means of orientation within the smoke, so it was up to the user to learn how to handle it to gain an advantage over the enemy.

Fortunately for Lohan, with the evolutions and skills he possessed, he could see perfectly through the smoke!

’From now on, you can call me Momochi...’ Lohan thought with an internal chuckle, imagining himself using the smoke like the fog technique to eliminate enemies lost within it.

The more he thought about it in a playful tone, putting himself in the shoes of the Hidden Fog Assassin, the more he realized that it actually seemed viable for combat!

’Will I really be able to act like Halon Momochi, the Demon of Hidden Smoke?’

he thought in surprise.
Regarding the memories he had absorbed from the lizard and the ocelot, Lohan felt a little sorry for the monsters, who actually liked their masters a bit, but not enough to regret his actions.

Those two monsters really wanted to kill them, so it was only fair to kill them back.

Storing the corpse in the [Astral Chest], Lohan was finally ready to continue the journey.

Lisa looked at the Slime and commented jokingly. ”Very well, only 3 minutes? I think just for that reason I already like our new chest even more!”

Lohan rolled his eyes inwardly, feeling as if he were a boyfriend waiting for a girlfriend who takes hours to put on makeup while he’s already lying on the couch, ready to go after just 10 minutes of getting ready.

And that analogy wasn’t too far from reality for them.

Climbing back onto Lisa’s body, Lohan clung to her, and they continued their journey.

This time, without any interruptions, it took them only a few more minutes to reach their destination, where they began their hunt.

-xXx-

”Even with the millions of credits invested, you still haven’t figured out who this Astralis Requiem Guild is that popped up out of nowhere?” A 25-year-old man asked in a cold, calm voice.

The man had short red hair and almost perfect facial features, as if he had been molded from birth to meet every standard of beauty he could.

With broad shoulders and an athletic build, a short red beard that made him look older and more respectable, this man commanded respect from everyone around him without even having to raise his voice.

”I’m sorry, boss, I failed you... I tried everything I could, bribing employees from various corporations, even infiltrating your siblings’ inner circles, but no one told me they were working on it, or even had any information about Astralis Requiem.” A mature 35-year-old woman, with a very attractive body, boasting large breasts and thighs, bowed in shame, completely exposing her large breasts to the man in front of her.

Despite the revealing position, the woman felt no shame at all, considering everything she had already done with that younger man.

The man wasn’t discreet either, staring directly at the brown nipples of her breasts with interest, but without showing any emotion.

Without a word from him, she didn’t dare move, and he, on the other hand, was deep in thought, trying to understand who these adversaries were who had appeared out of nowhere and were already completely disrupting the plans of the major corporations.

’For some reason, something tells me you’re the one responsible for this...’ he thought, with a young, beautiful face in mind... the face of a girl with hair as red as his own, who for some reason was his mother’s favorite.
