Billionaire: You're Telling Me You're the Crown Prince of Kyoto

159: Two major mercenary groups ambushed Zeus.“You were right, Jiang Chuan, they really did react.”

Dragon Soul also received news: The Sirius Mercenary Group and the Zeus Mercenary Group had accepted the invitation from the Kenlida rebels and were about to arrive on the battlefield to confront the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group.

“The people behind this have made their move.”

Jiang Chuan heard Dragon Soul’s words and smiled at him.

“Yes, they called in the world’s second and third-ranked mercenary groups to participate.”

“I always knew these two mercenary groups had backing, but I never expected it to be those two countries.”

Dragon Soul nodded, his tone clearly serious.

“Brother Long, do you have confidence?”

Jiang Chuan heard Dragon Soul’s words and looked at him with a serious expression.

Although the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group was the world’s number one and strongest, facing both the world’s second and third-ranked mercenary groups simultaneously, he wasn’t sure if Dragon Soul and his men had absolute confidence.

“Of course, these two mercenary groups are just our defeated opponents.”

“Since you’ve also come here this time, I can focus on one mercenary group, and the other will be handed over to you.”

Dragon Soul smiled confidently, saying this to Jiang Chuan.

“Alright.”

Jiang Chuan understood Dragon Soul’s meaning: he and Dragon Soul would each deal with one mercenary group, thereby resolving one side of the conflict and significantly reducing the pressure.

“The Dragon Fang Squad isn’t here right now, so I’ll have the Dragon Soul Squad and half of the mercenary group members follow you. The Zeus Mercenary Group is yours to handle, and the Sirius Mercenary Group is mine.”

“Understood.”

Jiang Chuan heard Dragon Soul’s arrangement and decisively agreed.

He wasn’t familiar with the mercenary world, so he would do as Dragon Soul arranged.

“Good, then I’ll have my people contact the Kenlida Official Authorities. The rebels will need to hold on for a while themselves. We need to block the Sirius Mercenary Group and the Zeus Mercenary Group. If we fail, the Kenlida Official Authorities will also cease to exist.”

Dragon Soul nodded and instructed his confidant to contact the Kenlida Official Authorities.

When the Kenlida Official Authorities learned that the rebels had invited the Sirius Mercenary Group and the Zeus Mercenary Group to join the war, the highest leader of Kenlida’s face turned grim. However, upon learning that the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group intended to resist the two major mercenary groups, the highest leader of Kenlida breathed a sigh of relief.

What he feared most was that the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group would hear about the two major mercenary groups joining the battlefield and simply leave. Fortunately, the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group did not intend to leave but planned to resist the enemy, which would also relieve some pressure on the Kenlida Official Authorities.

Although the rebels had good strength and weapons, their arrogance had been curbed by the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group.

The Kenlida Official Authorities might not be able to destroy the rebels, but holding out was not a big problem.

“Dragon King, Dragon Soul, the enemy is about to enter Kenlida.”

Upon learning that the two major mercenary groups were joining the battlefield, Jiang Chuan and Dragon Soul immediately sent people to guard the Kenlida border. As soon as the enemy stepped into the country, they would be discovered immediately.

“Alright, we understand.”

“Jiang Chuan, the Zeus Mercenary Group is entrusted to you. I am very clear about your strength; you can definitely handle the Zeus Mercenary Group.”

“Don’t worry, Brother Long, leave the Zeus Mercenary Group to me. As for the Sirius Mercenary Group, you be careful.”

Jiang Chuan smiled and nodded, reassuring Dragon Soul.

“I’m leaving.”

Dragon Soul left these words, taking the Dragon Scale Squad and half of the mercenary group members, and quickly departed, heading towards where the Sirius Mercenary Group was located.

“Dragon King, it’s time for us to act too.”

The Dragon Soul Squad leader reminded Jiang Chuan.

“Hmm, has the Zeus Mercenary Group already entered the country of Kenlida?”

Jiang Chuan nodded and asked Dragon Thorn, who was beside him.

“Yes, according to the intelligence we’ve received, the Zeus Mercenary Group has already arrived in Kenlida. They should be on their way to the battlefield now, intending to wipe out Kenlida’s military forces in one fell swoop, thereby completely encircling and annihilating your Dragon Soul Mercenary Group.”

“If that’s the case, then let’s intercept them on their inevitable path and catch them off guard.”

Jiang Chuan took out a map, pointed to a location, and said with a smile to Dragon Thorn beside him.

Dragon Thorn heard this and, looking at the place Jiang Chuan pointed, couldn’t help but smile.

This place was indeed the only way to the battlefield, and due to the war, the area Jiang Chuan pointed to had already collapsed, surrounded by ruins. If they ambushed effectively, a single strike might not destroy the enemy, but at least severely wound them.

“Good.”

Dragon Thorn also agreed with Jiang Chuan’s suggestion.

Jiang Chuan personally led the warriors of his Dragon Soul Mercenary Group, driving quickly away from here, rushing towards the enemy’s inevitable path.

Wars frequently broke out in Kenlida, so many cities had been destroyed. Due to the constant conflict, some cities were simply abandoned, becoming ruins.

“Everyone, take cover. The enemy is very likely to carry detection equipment. As soon as they enter our firing range, open fire directly.”

Jiang Chuan directly instructed Dragon Thorn and the others.

“Understood.”

Dragon Thorn and the others instantly understood Jiang Chuan’s meaning upon hearing his words.

They would act as soon as the enemy showed themselves. If the enemy truly carried detection instruments and discovered their tracks, they would be found out instead, losing any element of surprise.

“Attack!”

The Zeus Mercenary Group arrived here in armored vehicles. Jiang Chuan watched this scene and directly issued the command to attack.

Various rocket launchers were aimed directly at the Zeus Mercenary Group’s armored vehicles and fired.

Bang, bang, bang.

The rocket launchers, like fiery dragons, cut through the air and instantly fell upon the armored vehicles.

In an instant, the armored vehicles exploded into brilliant fire, which burned across the entire sky and land, like a magnificent fireworks display.

“We’ve been ambushed! Retreat immediately, everyone retreat!”

“Stop advancing, retreat at once! Use drones and thermal imagers to find the enemy for me! I’m going to kill them!”

Zeus Mercenary Group hadn’t expected to be intercepted midway. He roared in anger.

The Zeus Mercenary Group had been a bit overconfident, believing that the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group wouldn’t dare to ambush them, given that two world-class mercenary groups had arrived this time.

Who knew Jiang Chuan would do the opposite? They hadn’t even reached the battlefield and were directly ambushed. After this round of attacks, the Zeus Mercenary Group suffered heavy losses.

As the Zeus Mercenary Group retreated, Jiang Chuan naturally wouldn’t miss the opportunity to strike while they were down.

At his command, the warriors of the Dragon Soul Mercenary Group launched a fierce assault on the Zeus Mercenary Group, with no intention of letting them leave this place.

From the moment the Zeus Mercenary Group and the Sirius Mercenary Group entered this country, they became enemies of each other.

There is no mercy between enemies, only life and death.
