Billionaire: You're Telling Me You're the Crown Prince of Kyoto

64: Assassins appear, a mysterious quartetThe three men arrived at the dining table and chatted happily.

Qin Dong seemed cynical and indifferent to everyone, but he would differentiate based on the person.

Towards people he was unfamiliar with or didn’t know, Qin Dong wouldn’t even give them a proper look.

However, if they were friends of his acquaintances or his own friends, Qin Dong wouldn’t care about their status.

The three men talked and laughed, and before they knew it, they had drunk a considerable amount of alcohol.

It was only then that Xu Jia excitedly arrived at the private room.

“My apologies, three big brothers, I will punish myself with three drinks.”

Xu Jia had driven out, planning to race for a bit and then return for dinner, but he encountered a beautiful woman with a good figure. He took her racing for a few more laps before returning, and he spoke to the three men with an apologetic expression.

Clang, clang, clang.

Without a second thought, Xu Jia immediately picked up the specially supplied Maotai on the table and drank three cups one after another.

“Brother, you have guts. People with such spirit are rare nowadays. I toast you.”

After Xu Jia downed the three drinks, his whole body felt hot. He planned to eat some food to suppress the heat, and then he heard Qin Dong’s words.

“Brother Qin, I’ll finish it.”

Seeing Qin Dong stand up to drink with him, Xu Jia naturally couldn’t refuse. He raised his own glass and drained it again.

“Xiao Xu, Old Qin already drank one with you. As the host, I should also accompany you for a drink.”

Wang Cong looked at Xu Jia’s already flushed face. After four consecutive drinks, Xu Jia’s condition was clearly deteriorating. He looked at Xu Jia with a smile and said.

“Brother Wang, I really made a mistake. I shouldn’t have arrived so late. Can I eat something to settle my stomach before drinking again?”

Hearing this, Xu Jia repeatedly confessed his mistake, begging Wang Cong to let him off.

“Hahahahaha...”

Wang Cong couldn’t help but burst into happy laughter, seeing Xu Jia’s face contorted.

He was only teasing Xu Jia, his intention being to tell him not to be so late next time.

Throughout the evening, the four men talked and laughed.

Wang Cong also suggested going to a bar to have some fun, as it had been two days since he had been to one, and coincidentally, several attractive Female Internet Celebrities had contacted him today.

Facing Wang Cong’s enthusiastic invitation, Xu Jia very readily agreed.

“Brother Wang, Brother Qin, I won’t be joining you at the bar today. I have to go see my girlfriend tomorrow.”

Jiang Chuan apologetically declined Wang Cong’s kind offer.

“Alright then, next time we’ll go to the bar together. I really had a blast last time.”

Wang Cong did not force Jiang Chuan to go to the bar with them. He smiled and agreed, and the three of them went to the TS Bar together.

Jiang Chuan left the restaurant alone and returned to his hotel room.

He arrived alone on his hotel floor and saw a visibly drunk man staggering and approaching him. He didn’t pay much attention, but just as the drunken man was about to collapse onto him, Jiang Chuan suddenly felt a sense of danger engulf his heart.

Just as the drunken man was about to fall on him, he suddenly turned fierce. He pulled an incredibly sharp dagger from his clothes and fiercely thrust it directly toward Jiang Chuan’s heart.

Feeling the danger, Jiang Chuan reacted the moment he saw the drunken man lunging at him. He deftly dodged the man, and the dagger missed Jiang Chuan’s heart, stabbing only air.

When the drunken man failed to hit Jiang Chuan with the first strike, he assumed Jiang Chuan was just lucky. His gaze instantly turned vicious, and he gripped the dagger again, thrusting it once more toward Jiang Chuan.

“You are courting death.”

At this moment, Jiang Chuan understood that the drunken man was there to kill him, and his own eyes also became fierce.

Although the drunken man’s strike was fast, accurate, and ruthless, Jiang Chuan was faster. He instantly grabbed the drunken man’s right hand, squeezing it with terrifying force. The drunken man immediately felt sharp pain, and the dagger in his hand clattered directly onto the floor.

As the drunken man’s dagger fell, Jiang Chuan fiercely kicked the man away. The terrifying force instantly impacted the drunken man’s sternum.

Struck in the chest, the drunken man spat out a mouthful of fresh blood from his throat. His complexion turned pale, and his eyes lost some of their focus.

“How is this possible?”

The drunken man could still barely remain conscious. He hadn’t expected his target to subdue him in a single move. He looked at Jiang Chuan in disbelief.

After saying this, the drunken man realized his mission had failed. He immediately took out something resembling a signal device and pressed it decisively. At the same time, the drunken man bit down on the false tooth in his mouth, and Jiang Chuan instantly saw black blood continuously flowing from the drunken man’s mouth.

“He committed suicide by poison?”

Jiang Chuan’s expression darkened when he saw the black blood flowing from the drunken man’s mouth. Given the situation, Jiang Chuan had already roughly guessed the identity of the man before him: he was a foreign assassin.

“Hands up! Don’t move!”

Just as the drunken man committed suicide by poison, a cold voice entered Jiang Chuan’s ears. He then saw four plainclothes, light-skinned men carrying pistols appear behind him, shouting at him.

“There are still companions?”

“Is this the second protocol?”

Hearing the voices behind him, Jiang Chuan’s expression turned grim, and he quickly thought of countermeasures.

Among the four men, a young man who looked about the same age as Jiang Chuan saw him standing motionless and loudly warned him again.

“Put your hands up, or we will shoot.”

“Go!”

Jiang Chuan was unsure of the identity of the people behind him and their true intentions, so he naturally couldn’t surrender. He immediately started running.

“Chase him!”

The youngest man among the four saw Jiang Chuan running away. He knew that firing a gun inside the hotel would cause too much trouble, so he immediately issued the command and quickly chased after Jiang Chuan.

Jiang Chuan did not take the elevator this time; if he did, the opponents could easily trap him like a turtle in a jar. He naturally wasn’t foolish enough to take the elevator. He found the stairs and quickly rushed toward the rooftop.

Jiang Chuan ran extremely fast, with the four men behind him constantly giving chase. The youngest man among the four could barely glimpse Jiang Chuan’s figure and saw him ascend to the rooftop.

“Tactical advance.”

Seeing the open rooftop door, the young man shouted this command to the three men behind him.

The four men entered the rooftop cautiously, standing back-to-back. Every step was filled with vigilance and tension, and their eyes constantly scanned the surroundings, not letting any movement escape their notice.

The hotel rooftop was exceptionally wide, seeming endless at a glance. Sunlight streamed down, illuminating the entire rooftop brightly and dazzlingly, but this did nothing to ease the anxiety in the four men’s hearts. Many tall, thick stone pillars stood on the rooftop, guarding the space silently like sentinels. Their presence somewhat obstructed the view, posing a significant challenge to finding the target.

Furthermore, the rooftop looked chaotic. Debris was piled up randomly, and tools were scattered everywhere; it seemed no one had bothered to organize the area. This disorganized scene left them feeling confused and helpless, as finding a person in such an environment was undoubtedly a difficult task.

“Captain Qin, what should we do?”

Looking at the structure of the rooftop, a man in his thirties asked the young man.

“Split into two teams. We must capture this assassin.”

Captain Qin spoke coldly to his companions.

“Understood.”

The three men heard Captain Qin’s instructions, split into two teams, and cautiously relied on each other while searching for Jiang Chuan’s trace on the rooftop.
