Billionaire: You're Telling Me You're the Crown Prince of Kyoto

45: Three tasks, stir-frying in a large wokAfter the meal ended, Xu Wei suggested they all play a game, but Jiang Chuan decisively refused.

His reason was very valid: cooking was too tiring, and he needed to rest.

Hearing Jiang Chuan’s reason, no one pressed him to play, so in the end, only five of them played Truth or Dare.

Jiang Chuan took out his phone, found Steel Gun King, and told him to gather his teammates to start ranking up.

Jiang Chuan sat alone on the side, playing a battle royale game.

Mu Qingcheng and the other five played Truth or Dare, and the evening passed by like that.

The next day.

Mo Wenwen arrived at the Heartbeat Cabin and began to issue tasks to the three couples.

”Jiang Chuan, Mu Qingcheng, your task is to help out at a charity restaurant. Completing the task will earn you a five hundred yuan reward.”

”Xu Wei, Qin Xue, you need to go to an orphanage and teach the orphans for a day. Completing the task will earn you a five hundred yuan reward.”

”Ai Yi, Chu Xin, you need to go to a nursing home and volunteer for a day. Completing the task will earn you a five hundred yuan reward.”

”Okay, Sister Wenwen.”

The three couples received their respective tasks and took the vehicles arranged by the production team to their assigned locations.

Jiang Chuan and Mu Qingcheng arrived at the charity restaurant. Jiang Chuan was assigned to cook, while Mu Qingcheng was tasked with preparing disposable bowls and chopsticks, as well as some cooling ice water and medicine, while also helping with odd jobs.

Xu Wei and Qin Xue arrived at the orphanage and were welcomed by the children.

Xu Wei taught the orphans how to read and write, while Qin Xue taught them how to dance.

Ai Yi and Chu Xin also arrived at the nursing home. Ai Yi helped the elderly with massages, and Chu Xin helped the immobile elderly with their personal hygiene.

The tasks for the three couples were not difficult, and each couple’s team proceeded with their respective tasks in an orderly manner.

”Uncle Guo, how much food do we need to cook today?”

Jiang Chuan entered the kitchen, familiarized himself with the large wok in front of him, and found it very easy to use. He couldn’t help but look at the only other chef beside him and asked with a smile.

Uncle Guo was a middle-aged man in his fifties, honest and good-natured. He had run this charity restaurant for almost ten years. In these ten years, Uncle Guo had gone from serving a hundred charity meals at the beginning to an unlimited amount now.

Over these ten years, Uncle Guo had also spent a lot of money. Fortunately, people in society often helped out Uncle Guo’s charity restaurant; otherwise, the restaurant would have closed long ago with just Uncle Guo alone.

”I don’t know either, at least five hundred portions, I guess.”

Uncle Guo smiled when he heard Jiang Chuan’s words and said to him.

”Xiao Chuan, it’s almost time. We need to start cooking. There will be many people coming for lunch.”

Uncle Guo saw that it was already ten o’clock in the morning and said to Jiang Chuan with a smile.

”Okay, Uncle Guo.”

Jiang Chuan smiled and replied to Uncle Guo. The two of them used two large woks, continuously stir-frying different dishes.

”Wow, Jiang Chuan actually knows how to use a large wok to cook.”

”Has Jiang Chuan been a chef? Why does he look so skilled?”

”I think Jiang Chuan must have been a chef; it’s impossible for him to have a secret identity.”

...The netizens in the live stream also knew that the production team had set a secret identity for each male and female guest. As long as the first person to vote and find the secret identity after the Dating Reality Show ended would receive a mysterious prize. Therefore, the netizens watching the live stream became more attentive, looking for clues.

At twelve o’clock, Jiang Chuan and Uncle Guo had stir-fried a dozen dishes, each enough for five hundred people.

”Uncle Guo, many of these people don’t look like they’re poor. Is it really okay for them to eat here?”

Jiang Chuan and Uncle Guo also took their bento boxes and walked outside. While eating, Jiang Chuan observed the people picking up the charity bento boxes. Most of them were disabled, and there were also many elderly people. At the same time, Jiang Chuan also saw some Young Men in formal wear, sweating profusely. He couldn’t help but ask Uncle Guo.

”Xiao Chuan, there are ultimately more good people in this world. Although these Young Men may not look poor, they might have encountered difficulties and have no money on them. What’s wrong with coming here for a meal? As long as they don’t waste food, our efforts are not in vain.”

”Moreover, who can guarantee that misfortune will not befall them one day? So, as long as someone comes to eat, we will give them a charity meal, just to help them through a difficult time and prevent them from losing hope in life.”

Uncle Guo chuckled when he heard Jiang Chuan’s words.

”Wow, Uncle Guo’s words are so profound! Who can guarantee that misfortune won’t fall upon them? Perhaps a charity meal can make someone regain hope.”

”At first, I thought these Young Men, with working hands and feet and not very old, were very shameless for going to eat charity meals. Now, hearing Uncle Guo’s words, I instantly understand.”

”Young Men nowadays are actually under a lot of pressure. If they can’t complete their work, their wages will be deducted, and there are various rents, car loans... The burdens of life fall on them. Perhaps they are not people seeking relief, but a simple charity meal can make them feel warmth and give them more hope for life.”

...The netizens in the live stream heard the conversation between Jiang Chuan and Uncle Guo and praised Uncle Guo for his insightful understanding of life.

”Xiao Chuan, have you finished eating? If so, we need to continue working.”

Uncle Guo ate very quickly, finishing a bento box in about five minutes. After he finished, he looked at Jiang Chuan beside him and asked with a smile.

”Okay, Uncle Guo.”

Jiang Chuan also quickly ate all the remaining food and went directly to the kitchen to help Uncle Guo stir-fry dishes.

Although Jiang Chuan didn’t know why Uncle Guo still needed to cook, he didn’t ask much and continued to cook meals for hundreds of people.

Soon, Jiang Chuan saw several volunteers taking these dishes away. Through asking Uncle Guo, he learned that these meals were for the volunteers, sanitation workers, and other people who silently contributed to the city.

After a day, Jiang Chuan felt like his entire arm was about to give out. Constantly stir-frying from morning till night, he couldn’t handle it, but Jiang Chuan didn’t complain at all and managed to complete the day’s work with difficulty.

”Uncle Guo, this is my support for the charity restaurant. I hope you can accept it. At the same time, I hope you can help more people.”

Before leaving, Jiang Chuan also left a bank card. He handed the bank card to Uncle Guo, telling him that this was his support for the charity restaurant and his way of giving back to society.
