Billionaire: You're Telling Me You're the Crown Prince of Kyoto

4: One phone call reveals the power dynamics”Brother, are you really okay? That guy’s background must be extraordinary!”

Zhang Hao sat in the police car, regretting his actions now.

His body was tense, his hands gripping the seat tightly, his eyes filled with unease and fear, and his voice trembled slightly due to nervousness.

He looked at Jiang Chuan beside him, who wore a look of calm indifference, and a surge of confusion and worry welled up in his heart.

Jiang Chuan didn’t seem to realize the seriousness of the situation; he still looked relaxed and carefree, as if the matter was completely insignificant.

”Don’t worry, I can handle it.”

Jiang Chuan’s lips curved slightly into a confident smile, and he turned to look at Zhang Hao, a hint of determination flashing in his eyes.

He gently patted Zhang Hao’s shoulder, trying to get him to relax.

”Shut up! Do you think this is your private car?”

At that moment, the young police officer in the car heard the conversation between Zhang Hao and Jiang Chuan, and his face instantly darkened. He glared fiercely at them and shouted loudly.

Hearing the police officer, Jiang Chuan quickly shut his mouth, an awkward smile appearing on his face.

He knew his behavior just now was inappropriate, so he quickly apologized to the officer and promised not to speak again.

The police car slowly came to a stop, and Jiang Chuan saw that the Police substation was already close by.

He turned his head toward the police officer beside him and asked with a smile, ”Officer, I should be allowed to make a phone call, right?”

The young police officer heard Jiang Chuan’s request, glanced over their plain clothing, and seeing the nervous expression of Zhang Hao, he secretly guessed that they might want to call their family for help.

Considering this, he nodded in agreement: ”Go ahead and call.”

”Thank you, Officer.”

Jiang Chuan thanked the young police officer and immediately dialed a number right in front of the two of them.

”Beep... beep...”

After a few rings, the call was connected.

”Mr. Jiang, is there something you need calling me?”

The speaker was Liu Yong, the CEO of Tianxia Group. He was preparing to rest, but upon seeing the caller ID on his private phone, he immediately answered and asked respectfully.

”Old Liu, I ran into a bit of trouble at the North of the River Police substation. Find someone to handle it for me.”

Jiang Chuan said with a slight smile and a relaxed tone.

”Understood, Mr. Jiang. I will resolve it as quickly as possible!”

Liu Yong quickly agreed. When he learned that Jiang Chuan had been taken to the North of the River Police substation, his expression instantly turned grim.

After hanging up the phone, Liu Yong didn’t dare delay and immediately contacted the General Manager of the Tianxia Group branch in Jiangbei City—Chen Liang.

Chen Liang was currently working when he received the unexpected call from Liu Yong.

It was important to know that Liu Yong held an extremely high position within Tianxia Group, virtually second only to the chairman. If he could gain Liu Yong’s attention, he might realize his long-held ambition of becoming a High-Level Official at Tianxia Group Headquarters.

”Hello, CEO Liu, you’re still awake this late? Is there something you need me for?”

Chen Liang asked respectfully. He knew that Liu Yong calling at this hour meant it was definitely an important matter, so he dared not show any negligence.

”Chen Liang, we have a very important guest at Tianxia Group named Jiang Chuan, and he is currently at the North of the River Police substation. Go handle this immediately!”

Liu Yong’s voice sounded anxious and contained a hint of anger.

”I understand, CEO Liu. I will take care of this matter.”

Chen Liang immediately understood Liu Yong’s meaning. He knew this distinguished guest was extremely important to the company and had to be handled properly.

”Good.”

Liu Yong was quite confident in Chen Liang’s ability and trusted him to handle the situation well.

After Chen Liang hung up the phone, he immediately took action.

He first contacted a Bureau Chief in Jiangbei City, hoping to resolve the problem through Official Authorities channels.

”Chief Lin, I hope I haven’t disturbed your rest?”

Chen Liang asked with a light laugh.

”No, CEO Chen. Is there something you need me for?”

Chief Lin replied politely.

”Chief Lin, a distinguished guest from our Tianxia Group Headquarters, named Jiang Chuan, was taken away by your North of the River Police substation. I’d like to understand the situation.”

Chen Liang stated his purpose directly.

”Oh? Jiang Chuan? I’m not entirely clear on the details. I’ll make a call and ask. However, since he is a distinguished guest of Tianxia Group, we will treat this matter seriously.”

Chief Lin stated that he would find out the truth as soon as possible.

Chen Liang felt slightly relieved and waited for Chief Lin’s call.

”Chief Lin, thank you for your trouble then.”

Chen Liang said with a light laugh.

”It’s nothing. Give me ten minutes.”

Chief Lin also replied with a smile.

Ten minutes later, Chief Lin already knew the entire sequence of events, and his expression was somewhat solemn. He immediately called Chen Liang.

”CEO Chen, I know the details now. This matter is rather troublesome. Jiang Chuan got into a conflict with Yang Yong of the Yang Group, and they fought each other.

This is difficult for us to handle. Therefore, CEO Chen, you need to clarify things with the Yang Group. Once that is settled, we will release the person immediately.”

”Understood, Chief Lin. I will deal with this as soon as possible.”

After Chen Liang understood the situation, he knew the matter was trivial. He immediately contacted the head of the Yang Group, Yang Sanfa!

Seeing that CEO Chen of Tianxia Group was calling him, Yang Sanfa immediately answered the phone.

Yang Sanfa was well aware of the power of Tianxia Group; they were definitely not an entity that the Yang Group could afford to provoke.

”CEO Chen, please rest assured. I will go and sort out this matter right away.”

When Yang Sanfa learned that his prodigal son had provoked a distinguished guest of Tianxia Group, he was scared pale and rushed to the North of the River Police substation immediately.

Upon arriving at the North of the River Police substation, Yang Sanfa severely scolded Yang Yong right in front of Jiang Chuan and the others, while simultaneously begging Jiang Chuan for their forgiveness.

Seeing Yang Sanfa’s good attitude, Jiang Chuan did not immediately accept the apology but instead looked toward his good brother beside him.

”Old Jiang, let’s just drop this matter. We should go back and continue drinking.”

Zhang Hao saw that Jiang Chuan had resolved the issue so easily, with Yang Sanfa personally apologizing, and he no longer intended to pursue the matter.

It wasn’t worth deepening the conflict with the other party over a woman who had cheated on him.

”Thank you, Young Master Jiang, thank you, Young Master Zhang.”

Yang Sanfa said, tears of gratitude streaming down his face, upon seeing that Jiang Chuan and Zhang Hao had forgiven them. Yang Sanfa then respectfully took out a check for one million and handed it to Zhang Hao, the purpose being an apology and compensation.

”Take it.”

Jiang Chuan looked at the sensible Yang Sanfa and said smilingly to Zhang Hao beside him.

Zhang Hao, as if in a dream, accepted the check handed over by the other party.

This was the first time he had encountered such a situation: he had beaten the other party up, yet the other party apologized with a smile and even offered money!

In that moment, Zhang Hao understood the true meaning of power!

Seeing that both sides had settled the matter, the North of the River Police substation immediately informed them that they were free to leave.

”Thank you, gentlemen. If you ever need my help, please don’t hesitate to ask.”

Yang Sanfa said, tears of gratitude flowing.

He intended to escort the two men away but was refused. He could only take his own prodigal son home, while telling all the son’s hangers-on to scram.
