Billionaire: You're Telling Me You're the Crown Prince of Kyoto

6: Jiang Chuan’s anger, sincere apologyJiang Chuan and Zhang Hao parted ways.

He wandered alone in this city.

His heart was conflicted; he didn’t know whether he should go home or not.

Jiang Chuan was abandoned at a garbage station when he was small, but fortunately, he was picked up by a homeless man and raised to adulthood.

Three years ago, Jiang Chuan’s business failed, and he owed tens of thousands of yuan. When his father found out, he took out all his savings, intending to pay off Jiang Chuan’s debt.

Jiang Chuan was unwilling to use his father’s retirement money, and the two of them had a huge argument because of it.

Jiang Chuan and his father had not contacted each other for three whole years.

During those three years, Jiang Chuan had often thought about going home to see his father. But since he hadn’t accomplished anything, he never went back to see him in the end.

”You damn old man, haven’t I told you that this garbage dump belongs to our Beggar Gang’s territory from now on? You can’t come here anymore, or I’ll beat you every time I see you.”

Jiang Chuan was preoccupied with his thoughts and unknowingly arrived at the garbage dump where he had been abandoned as a child, when he suddenly heard a Young Man shouting curses.

”Hmm?”

Jiang Chuan followed the sound and saw several people dressed in rags, holding wooden sticks and constantly hitting an old man. The old man desperately shielded his head to avoid being struck.

”Stop it!”

Jiang Chuan looked at the beaten old man, thought of his own father, and couldn’t help but feel a surge of anger. He coldly shouted a reprimand.

”Huh?!”

Jiang Chuan’s voice reached the ears of the beggars, who were only sixteen or seventeen years old. They instantly looked toward Jiang Chuan, noting his 1.8-meter height, handsome appearance, and gentle demeanor that made him look like a student. They immediately glared fiercely at Jiang Chuan and roared, ”Where did this pretty boy come from? Get lost right now, or we’ll beat you up too!”

”Father.”

Jiang Chuan ignored their threats and approached the group of young beggars step by step. When he clearly saw the bruised and battered, weathered old man, terrifying anger erupted in his eyes. His gentle demeanor vanished instantly, and a cold aura emanated from Jiang Chuan’s body.

”I’m going to kill you all.”

Jiang Chuan looked at the group of young beggars like a furious beast, and his cold voice made them shiver involuntarily. Targeted by Jiang Chuan, the young beggars couldn’t help but retreat a few steps, looking at him fearfully, wanting to leave.

”What are you scared of? He’s only one person! There are four of us, and we have weapons. Let’s go up and deal with him together. If he calls the police, we’ll all be in trouble.”

The leading young beggar stared viciously at Jiang Chuan and spoke fiercely to the other three beggars beside him.

”That’s right, he’s only one person, let’s take care of him together.”

”I don’t want to get caught. We just need to knock him out.”

The leader’s words worked. The four young beggars instantly glared fiercely at Jiang Chuan, gripping their wooden sticks tighter. The next moment, as the leader initiated the attack, the other youths didn’t lag behind and and rushed toward Jiang Chuan one after another.

”Get lost!”

Jiang Chuan roared, neither dodging nor evading. He knew that in a street fight, once he showed fear, there was no turning back. He endured the pain, grabbed the leader’s stick, and used his long leg to fiercely kick the opponent away.

”Ah!”

The leading youth was kicked away and let out a painful cry.

”You all go die!”

The pain in his hand made Jiang Chuan’s eyes bloodshot, making him even more terrifying. Ignoring the sticks landing on his body, he tightened his grip on a stick and brutally struck one of the youths.

Two minutes later.

Although Jiang Chuan had been hit over a dozen times, the group of youths was far worse off, lying on the ground and wailing in pain.

”Second Son, stop right there!”

Jiang Chuan looked at the young punks wailing on the ground, but he had no intention of letting them go. Just as Jiang Chuan was about to continue hitting them to give them a lifelong lesson, his father’s voice reached his ears from behind.

”Father.”

Hearing his father’s voice, the hostility radiating from Jiang Chuan diminished significantly. He turned his head to look at his disheveled father, reluctantly dropped the stick in his hand, and the redness in his eyes faded slightly. He quickly went to his father’s side and helped him up.

”Help me walk over there.”

Seeing the hostility dissipate from Jiang Chuan, his father was very happy to see his second son. He commanded Jiang Chuan in an undeniable tone.

”Alright, Father.”

Jiang Chuan dared not refute his father and helped him walk over.

”We’re sorry, we were wrong, please don’t hit us.”

”Old man... No, no, no! Sir, this place is your territory from now on, we won’t dare to come here again. Please, please let us go.”

The four Young Men were completely terrified of Jiang Chuan. Seeing his father and Jiang Chuan walk over, they struggled to crawl up, knelt, and repeatedly kowtowed, begging for forgiveness and hoping Jiang Chuan would spare them.

Jiang Chuan just stared coldly at the group of young beggars without speaking.

”This time, you were the ones who struck this old man first, and you were also the ones who struck Xiao Chuan first. Xiao Chuan was merely acting in self-defense.”

”However, your injuries are quite severe. Keep this money to treat yourselves, and let the conflict between us end here.”

His father naturally felt compassion for the young beggars kneeling on the ground. He stared at the four of them and slowly spoke these words, then left all the money he had on him there, instructing Jiang Chuan to take him away.

”This...”

The four young beggars looked at the departing father and Jiang Chuan, then looked at the several thousand Huaguo yuan their father had left in front of them, and they were utterly stunned.

They hadn’t expected that after beating the old man, they would be defeated by Jiang Chuan, and not only did the father forgive them, he also gave them money for their treatment.

”Big Brother, what do we do now?”

The four Young Men exchanged glances, and finally, their gaze settled on the leader.

”Take the money. We’ll go get our injuries checked out and eat something good at the same time. We’ll remember this kindness and definitely repay this old man’s favor in the future.”

The leading youth looked at the vanished father and Jiang Chuan and said this to the other three.

”Hooray!”

”We can eat our fill again today.”

The three youths saw that the leader was willing to accept the money, and the others happily laughed, which even made the pain in their bodies lessen significantly.

”Father, let me take you to the hospital to get checked out.”

Jiang Chuan watched his father walking with a limp and felt uneasy, so he spoke these words to his father in a forceful tone.

”There’s no need to waste money going to the hospital for these minor injuries; I’ll be fine after a few days of rest.”

”Why did you decide to come home today?”

His father knew that North of the River’s personality was very stubborn and strong-willed, exactly like he was when he was a Young Man. Someone with this kind of personality wouldn’t easily admit fault.

”Father, I was wrong three years ago. I came back this time to take care of you in your old age and see you off.”

Jiang Chuan looked at his increasingly aged father, thinking that he was sixty years old and still picking up trash, and remembering how he had been violently beaten by a group of Young Men today. His heart felt choked, and he spoke the words in a hoarse voice.

When his father heard Jiang Chuan’s apology, his eyes widened in surprise, but soon he smiled with gratification. He didn’t say much, only patted Jiang Chuan on the shoulder.

There is no lasting grudge between father and son. With Jiang Chuan’s apology, the conflicts and estrangement between the two stubborn individuals vanished into the wind, and the pair returned together to the home that looked dilapidated but where they had lived for decades.
