Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

I wonder just how close the old ancestor from the Sky Empire is to the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm…

Making his way back towards the Star Shattering Sect, Xuan Hao could not help thinking about how powerful the old ancestor from the imperial family had been when he had faced off against the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts working together to fight him earlier.

Compared to the fights he had seen between Soul Ascension Realm Experts before this, the power shown by the old ancestor from the imperial had been strong enough to make him feel a sense of dread that made him understand that he would have no way to resist against the other party if he ended up on the other end of the attack he had thrown towards the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts that had been working together to team up on him. Not only that, but he also had a feeling that he would not be able to escape. At least not with his current strength.

”Hah… I really need to improve my domain more if I want to stand a chance against anyone who has gone through more than a single tribulation in the Soul Ascension Realm…” Shaking his head as he muttered this to himself, Xuan Hao decided that after he returned to the Star Shattering Sect, he would focus all of his attention towards searching for ways to further enhance his strength without having to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm.

Now that I think about it, it’s been a long time since I last looked at my status through the system.

Suddenly remembering the status that the system was able to construct of him, Xuan Hao felt curious as to how it had changed since the last time he had seen it. Considering how much his strength had increased and how his domain had changed, he felt that there should at least be some changes. Not to mention, he had more than enough time to kill on his journey back to the Star Shattering Sect…

Name: Xuan Hao

Dao Domain: Dao of Ice (Small Success), Dao of the Sword (Small Success), Dao of Corruption (Elementary)

Sword Intent: Nascent Sword Soul Realm

Talent: ???

Physique: ??? (25% Awakened)

Realm: Initial Stage Dao Domain Lord

Sect: Star Shattering Sect

Status: Grand Elder of the Star Shattering Sect

Reading through his status, Xuan Hao could not help freezing on the spot as he looked over the most obvious changes to his status.

”Dao Domain… Small Success, Elementary… Initial Stage Dao Domain Lord…?” Muttering this to himself as he read through his status one more time to make sure he had not seen wrong; Xuan Hao could not help wondering when he had reached a brand new cultivation realm.

Not to mention, from what he knew, the realm that came after the Domain Lord Realm was the Soul Ascension Realm. Not the Dao Domain Lord Realm that he had currently reached!

Whoosh~

Just at this moment as Xuan Hao was feeling lost over the sudden change to his cultivation base, a small window from the system appeared in front of him in a timely manner.

[Due to the host reaching the unique realm, Dao Domain Lord, a brief description of the realm is available through the system.]

[Read, Short Description of the Dao Domain Lord Realm?]

[Y/N]

”…”

Why did you only appear after I inspected my status? Are you perhaps mad that I’m not using it more…? Hah… Whatever, I should read through the description and figure out what this Dao Domain Lord Realm is…

Not knowing what to say, Xuan Hao decided to not think about it and instead just read through the description that the system was offering to him.

[The Immortal Soul tribulation is a tribulation one will have to go through to surpass the Mortal Realm. In total, there are two paths to ascending the Immortal Soul Tribulation. The most well-known path being to ascend the tribulation step by step, overcoming a single tribulation at a time and using the tribulation to increase one’s strength. People using this method to ascend the Immortal Soul tribulation Realm are normally called Soul Ascension Realm Experts.

The Soul Ascension Realm itself consists of six minor realms, the First Tribulation Realm, The Second Tribulation Realm and all the way up to the Sixth Tribulation Realm, where the cultivator will have to prepare for the final seventh tribulation.

The second and far less-known method is to overcome the entire Immortal Soul Tribulation in a single step. To have a chance at surviving all seven tribulations of the Immortal Soul Tribulation, one will need to comprehend different Daos and fuse them together to form a Dao Domain. People using this method can still be considered to be in the Domain Lord Realm, but due to the fact that their strength far surpasses that of the Domain Lord Realm, they were given the title of Dao Domain Lords.

The Dao Domain Lord Realm itself consists of four minor realms, the Initial, Intermediate, Late and Peak Stage, but a Dao Domain Lord can attempt to ascend the Immortal Soul tribulation at any moment. The goal of the Dao Domain Lord Realm is for the cultivator to increase their comprehension of the different Daos, they have already comprehended and comprehend new Daos that they can fuse into their Dao Domain. Although, due to the sheer difficulty of this, most Dao Domain Lords chose to attempt the Immortal Soul Tribulation at the Intermediate Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.]

”Wha- This is a short description!?” Exclaiming in surprise at the long and detailed description that the system had given him not only about the Dao Domain Lord Realm, but also the Soul Ascension Realm and the Immortal Soul tribulation Realm, Xuan Hao could not help feeling grateful towards the system.

Not only did the description give him a clear path to work towards, but it also helped him gain a better understanding of the Immortal Soul Tribulation and the Soul Ascension Realm, something that he had not yet managed to gain a lot of information on before this moment.

Now that he had a better understanding of the different minor realms that existed in the Soul Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao could not help growing curious as to what realm the old ancestor of the imperial family had reached.

Did he reach the Fourth Tribulation Realm? Maybe the Fifth tribulation Realm…?

Xuan Hao could not help guessing to himself as he recalled the two times that he had seen the old ancestor from the imperial family attacking. Even without too much reference material to go off, he was at least certain that the old ancestor from the imperial family should be somewhere in the later stages of the Soul Ascension Realm, yet not at the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm.

If he had really reached the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao doubted that the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts that had tried to attack him would have been able to get out alive. After all, their strength should at most be somewhere around the middle of the Soul Ascension Realm.

Knowing that he would not be able to get an answer to this question in the near future, Xuan Hao decided to put this question to the back of his mind as he instead focused his attention on resuming his journey back towards the Star Shattering Sect.

Now that he had found out how to increase his strength and prepare himself to face the Immortal Soul Tribulation, Xuan Hao could not wait to return back to the Star Shattering Sect to try and explore the Daos he had comprehended, while also trying to see if he could comprehend any new Daos that could be used to strengthen his Dao Domain.

On a side note, he also wanted to figure out what the small success and elementary written next to the different Daos he had comprehended was about… Although… A part of him had a feeling that trying to figure this out was going to be a dead end. Especially when considering the fact that the system had not mentioned any of this in its description of the Dao Domain Lord Realm…

”Maybe if I inspect my status more often in the future, I will be able to get a description of it from the system…” Shaking his head as he said this, Xuan Hao unconsciously took out an interspatial ring before throwing it towards a small forest below him.

At this point in time, throwing out interspatial rings whenever he had the chance had already become second nature due to the interspatial ring quest from the system. To be honest, Xuan Hao did not really care too much about the reward from this quest and was just curious as to what kind of trial would be created for those who happened to obtain one of the interspatial rings he had thrown out over the years…
