Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

I don’t think it will hurt for me to watch from afar, as long as I don’t get too close, I should be able to keep myself safe with my current strength. Even if the ancestor from the imperial family shows up, I doubt he will have time to care about a Domain Lord Realm Expert like myself when faced with two equally powerful Soul Ascension Realm Experts in the process of fighting not too far away from the capital city...

Having come to a decision that it would properly be a good idea to stay behind and try to figure out where these two powerful Soul Ascension Realm Experts had come from, Xuan Hao remained on top of the lonely mountain while watching as the fight in the distance got closer and closer to him. Not too worried about getting targeted by any of the Soul Ascension Realm Experts due to his current strength only showing as someone in the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

On the negative side, to make his current disguise more believable, he would be forced to retreat further back when the shockwaves from the fight grew too intense for someone in the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm to handle.

Of course, this was only considering that his current disguise worked against the powerful Soul Ascension Realm Experts in the first place-

Whoosh-!

Just at this moment, a terrifying aura equal, if not superior, to the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts fighting each other, appeared in the direction of the capital city. Momentarily causing the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts busy fighting with each other to come to an abrupt stop before both turned to look towards the origin of the terrifying aura. Even without seeing who the aura belonged to, it was not difficult to guess who the aura belonged to.

”So, the old ancestor from the imperial family finally decided to show up.” Turning to look in the direction of the terrifying aura like the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts, Xuan Hao could not help quietly muttering this as he saw an old man covered in an imperial garment floating in the air with a stern expression on his face.

From a glance alone, it was easy to guess that he was less than pleased at the fact that two foreign Soul Ascension Realm Experts had decided to start fighting with each other inside his territory. Especially when considering the current precarious situation that existed between the imperial family and the three religions...

”Hmph! How dare you two cause trouble inside my empire!”

Swish-!

Without warning, the ancestor from the imperial family launched a powerful strike towards the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts.

”How dare you!? Do you think you can just show up and attack us like this!?”

”Hmph! Overestimating your own abilities!”

As the attack of the old ancestor from the imperial family approached them, the two Soul Ascension Realm Experts that had been fighting just a second earlier stood their ground before saying this. Not retreating as they prepared to take the attack of the imperial family’s ancestor head on.

Observing the scene from afar, Xuan Hao could not help showing a hint of surprise after sensing the terrifying power contained inside the attack of the imperial family’s ancestor. Even if he had been no problem dealing with a Soul Ascension Realm Expert that had gone through a single tribulation, he understood that he would have no way to resist against a Soul Ascension Realm Expert like the ancestor of the imperial family who had gone through four tribulations. Faced with someone like that, the only option for him would be to escape...

Rumble-!

Finishing his train of thought, the sounding area was bathed in a blinding light as the attack reached the two foreign Soul Ascension Realm Experts.

BOOM-!

The ground trembled violently, as cracks the size of canyons formed around the centre of the impact, and the air was filled with the deafening roar of the wind-

BOOOOOOM-!

As the attack reached its peak, the ground erupted in a massive explosion. The shockwave from the attack spread outwards, obliterating everything in its path. In an instant, entire mountains and forests were erased around the place where the two foreign Soul Ascension Realm Experts were standing!

”This... Is the old ancestor of the imperial family really someone who has only gone through four tribulations...?” Feeling the shockwave carrying the remnant power of the attack wash over him, Xuan Hao could not feel a shiver run down his spine as he looked towards the old ancestor from the imperial family.

The force of the attack was beyond anything he had ever seen before if he didn’t count what he had seen through the ancient book. Even when compared to the more powerful Soul Ascension Realm Experts he had seen in action through the ancient book, the old ancestor from the imperial family did not seem to lack that far behind!

Whoosh~

As the dust settled and the two foreign Soul Ascension Realm Experts came inro view, Xuan Hao did not have to inspect them closely to understand that they had been seriously wounded by the attack just now. Not only that, but the way they looked towards the ancestor from the imperial family had clearly changed compared to before.

For a short time, an odd silence descended upon the three Soul Ascension Realm Experts that were locked in an intense staring competition with each other following the attack just now. None of them making a move.

”Y-you are not someone who has only gone through four tribulations!” Interrupting the odd silence that had fallen after the dust had settled, one of the foreign Soul Ascension Realm Experts bit his teeth together with a slightly fearful expression on his face as he said this while looking towards the ancestor of the imperial family.

”Oh? You already knew about me, yet still decided to come to my empire to fight it out with your little friend? Not to mention fighting in the border region of my empire by accident, but you decided to sneak into the core of my empire a short distance away from my capital city to start your little fight. If I didn’t know better, I would think you were trying to set up an ambush for me... But this isn’t the case... Right?”

”This... Of course not, senior, these two juniors will take their leave now!” Freezing up on the spot as a panicked expression appeared on his face for a short moment following what the old ancestor from the imperial family said, the foreign Soul Ascension Realm quickly turned around before leaving without waiting for his response. Not daring to stay for even a second longer after having faced the terrifying attack just now.

”What about you? Are you going to leave as well?” Seeing that one of the foreign Soul Ascension Realm Experts had turned his tail and fled at a speed that even surprised him to some degree, the old ancestor of the imperial family looked towards the last remaining foreign Soul Ascension Realm Expert.

”I will be taking my leave...”

Swish~!

Knowing that it would not be wise to stay any longer, the last remaining Soul Ascension Realm Expert also took his leave in the same direction that the first had left in.

”Hmph! Those people are getting more and more bold with each passing day...” Quietly muttering this just barely loud enough for Xuan Hao to hear from where he was standing, the old ancestor from the imperial family made his way back towards the capital city. Disappearing from the place as fast as he had shown up.

”...”

Left behind with only the destruction caused by the powerful attack just now to hold him company, Xuan Hao had no idea what to say about the short yet destructive battle he had just witnessed.

From the little information he had managed to gather and from what the three people involved had said during the short confrontation, it was rather obvious that the fight just now had just been a ruse to get the ancestor of the imperial family to leave the capital city where his guardian formation was in place and ambush him.

How they were going to do this, Xuan Hao had no idea, nor did he have any idea what power these two terrifying Soul Ascension Realm Experts belonged to... But then again, an obvious choice for where they had come from would be the three religions. After all, they were in essence only branches of a much larger religion that was spread throughout the entire Ewaria Continent.

Considering this, it would not be too odd if these powerful religions decided to send some of their more powerful experts over to deal with the old ancestor from the imperial family that was currently posing a threat to their presence inside the Sky Empire.

Looks like things are going to get far more chaotic after this...

Understanding this, Xuan Hao also understood that his time in the core region of the Sky Empire was over. Staying any longer was bound to get him involved in something troublesome...
