Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

”Did you hear? The Fox Village on the small island was destroyed.”

”Yeah, It’s really shocking, but not unexpected.”

A duo of high-grade guards passed by Fang Jia, still chatting about what was happening on the small islands.

Especially the fact that many continental flying ships were lost.

Fang Jia paused. It was impossible for Aiko to get hurt, she refused to believe that, but...

She hurried her steps towards the main building.

The mainland was much bigger and more complex than she expected. You could say that everything that happened on the small island was just child-play and it could not compare what was happening on the mainland.

The main reason for that is that most of the small islands didn’t have any Fiendish Cultivators, making them very peaceful in comparison.

”Mom.” Fang Jia burst into the main hall, ignoring everyone.

”Leave.” The Patriarch of the Heavenly Treasure Pavilion made everyone leave, since nothing was more important than her Fang family.

Fang Jia waited until everyone left, since she believed that her mother would have more information about what was happening.

”What is it?” The Patriarch smiled gently. She had a soft spot for Jia, not just because she was the daughter of Jie, but she was a sweet and hardworking girl.

”What really happened to the Fox Village?” Fang Jia didn’t try to beat around the bush at all.

”It got destroyed.” The Patriarch smiled, observing her reaction.

”As if.” Fang Jia snorted. She knew that if Aiko was around, it was impossible for something like that to happen. Or at least that was the feeling she got from her.

”Here.” The Patriarch pursed her lips. Her daughter was too lost and even if she didn’t like the idea of her having a Fox as partner, there was nothing she could do.

She could suggest some Young Masters, but honestly... None of them were really all that good.

Fang Jia picked the folded paper and read through it.

But the more she read, the more flabbergasted she was.

”She moved the whole ass village?!” That was what she figured out from that report.

”Language.” Lian groaned, she didn’t want to spoil her, but it was impossible since Jie was around.

”What are you reading?” Fang Jie sat next to her daughter and read the report with her.

”...” Fang Jie also didn’t believe that was what happened, but their daughter was so enthusiastic that it was impossible to try and convince her.

”But seriously...” Fang Jia pondered. ”Do you think she will get even stronger?”

”She...” Lian sighed. ”What makes you think that the Fox Village moved? There were so many dead bodies...”

”I know you are busy with the upcoming auction, but that doesn’t mean you should be blinded Mom.” Fang Jia pouted.

Lian rolled her eyes and waited for her daughter to explain what she meant.

”Let’s start from the beginning.” Fang Jia smirked, like she was some kind of tactician. ”We know that most of the Sects send their ships over to their side to ’capture something’.”

”The Comprehension Sapling, that is supposed to be a mythical item.” Lian nodded. She read that report too.

”But~” Fang Jia licked her lips. She was missing the small Fox, since the Forging was boring without her. ”Did we get report where the continental flying ships went~?”

”Of course, they were- Oh...” Lian smiled meaningfully. ”But there are still some steps. How can they take buildings and other things, not to mention if they failed there shouldn’t be too many continental flying ships operational and those that would be operational would need to be fixed.” She raised the main problem with Jia’s argument.

”Mom, Mom.” Fang Jia clicked her tongue, shaking her head. ”Did you forget the other reports? The Spiritual Cook, the Rune Cultivator, the Inscription Association and so on?”

”What about them?” Lian tilted her head. This was like grasping a rope thin as a thread, not something that should be even considered.

”Okay, fine.” Fang Jia clicked her tongue again. ”What did you think about Aiko?”

”...” Lian... wasn’t sure what to think about her. She was definitely a Vixen, but how skilled was hard to say. ”Are you suggesting that she was able to move them?”

”Probably not alone, but yes.” Fang Jia nodded her head seriously. Aiko was probably not the only reason why she was able to do all those things, but it was definitely possible that she had her hands in all of them.

”And next you will tell me that she caused the stampede.” Lian rolled her eyes.

”That’s obvious.” Fang Jia nodded her head. When it came to Aiko you had to throw your common sense out of the window to understand her.

*Pfft*

Lian choked on her tea. She couldn’t believe that her own daughter had such low intelligence.

”We got reports that the ’rangers’ captured a rare Blood/Demonic Fox. It’s obvious who that is.” Fang Jia was convinced that if such a rare being existed, it would be part of Aiko’s team.

Lian rolled her eyes. ”You are too easily swayed.” She clicked her tongue, but she wouldn’t step in.

Fang Jia had to realise the harsh truth of reality. It was impossible for the Fox Village to fend off the ’invasion’.

Nobody would imagine that the Fox Village actually moved places, outside the Southern Sect and Beast Sect...

-----

”I have some bad news for you.” A certain sick Dragoness came over to her Disciple.

”Master?” Yueying tilted her head. It was impossible to have worse news than what happened to her body before.

”The Fox Village was supposedly destroyed.” The Dragoness pursed her lips. She was trying to see how her Disciple would react and then teach her even more manuals about heart and mind to keep her from going astray.

”Hahahahahha.” Yueying suddenly started laughing. ”I’m glad that Master is feeling better. Your jokes are even more elaborate now.” She gave her thumbs up, startling her.

”But it’s true...” The Dragoness tried to push with this motion, but her Disciple only laughed at her.

”There is no way that Aiko would suffer like this.” Yueying shrugged. The time when Aiko kept rolling those rocks down the mountain reminded her of this.

It was impossible for Aiko to suffer without her fighting back, causing an even bigger disaster.

”Fine.” The Dragoness sighed, pinching her nose bridge. She came up with many elaborate plans in order to strengthen her Disciples heart, but Yueying was more shrewd than she expected.

”So, tell me~” Yueying smiled from ear to ear. She was always happy to hear Aiko’s exploits.

”Do you know ’that’ Elder who was supposedly sealed?” The Dragoness was careful about mentioning that person, since he was quite wilful.

”You mean the one from the Volcano Sect, or the one from the ’Flood’ Clan.” Yueying narrowed her eyes.

”The latter.” The Dragoness narrowed her eyes.

”Oho~” Yueying thought that that was the strange flame that Aiko had, since it exuded quite powerful Dragon Pressure.

”That old bastard was bragging that a Fox was able to wipe out the Fox Village and straighten them.” The Dragoness clicked her tongue. With the strength disparity this big, Yueying might learn something bad from that Fox, but since she gave ’Aiko’ her scale...

”That sounds like something she would do, especially after that stampede.” Yueying nodded her head giggling.

The Dragoness had a very bad feeling about this, but this should allow her to teach Yueying more about the heart manuals, so it still should be a good situation...

”So what happened next~?” Yueying was looking forward to that juicy story.

...

”HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! I CAN’T! MY SIDES!” Yueying was laughing hysterically. She couldn’t believe how much disaster Aiko was able to cause with her feeble strength.

”This is not a laughing matter.” The Dragoness groaned. If the report was true, that Fox now had over 12 special Floating Stones, that were powerful enough to take them safely over the ocean.

And even if she didn’t have that many continental flying ships, just having the Floating Stones was more than enough to topple most Sects on the mainland!

”So, she cleared the Fox Village. Took everything that was not nailed down and then even things that were nailed down. Took the Floating Stones and- HAHAHAHHAHA~” Yueying was still laughing, grasping at her belly.

The Dragoness could only sigh. It was fine for her Disciple to feel happy, but she didn’t know how she should feel about that Fox.

With not enough strength she would definitely cause trouble on the mainland, and what would happen once she moved to the upper mainland?

However, once again, the Dragoness didn’t have a heart to try to separate them. She was especially pissy about the other Elders trying to play shitty matchmakers with even shittier Young Dragons.

”So, where is she now?” Yueying narrowed her eyes and the Dragoness paused.

”You want us to help her...?” The Dragoness knew those eyes. It was obvious that she would run away again if they didn’t help.

”I’m not asking for much.” Yueying smiled.

-----

”I’m not asking for much, Mom.” Fang Jia smiled.

-----

”Just make sure that they are not interrupted on the mainland until they choose a Sect.” Yueying grinned.

”Just make sure that they are not interrupted on the mainland until they choose a Sect.” Fang Jia smirked.

Both the Dragoness and Lian sighed.

”I can’t believe you...” The Dragoness shook her head.

”Fine, fine.” Lian shook her head.

This would not be the first time they had done something that would affect the fate of the mainland, but to do so for such a little Fox... That was simply unheard of!
