Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Moon Aiko stashed that squirming worm into one of the ’homes’ of the Demonic Foxes.

The squirming worm suddenly pelted and stood still, only slow and stable breathing remained.

’She already fell asleep...’ Moon Aiko was flabbergasted, but now she felt a lot better than before. ’I wonder if I should sleep a bit more...’

”Good Morning, Aiko.” Danji greeted Aiko with a curtsy bow.

’Never mind.’ Moon Aiko pursed her lips. ”Good morning, Danji.” She suddenly yawned, startling everyone.

”I forgot to stash the flying boat, so I’m still tired.” Moon Aiko explained why she was acting like that.

”I figured something like that would happen.” Danji nodded her head slowly.

”Why didn’t you remind me?” Moon Aiko narrowed her eyes on her.

”Where is the fun in that?” Danji shrugged. ”It’s much better if you are sleepy and cute. Easier to exploit.” She licked her lips, making Aiko hide behind the Demonic Foxes.

”Hey!” Danji felt hurt. ”It’s not like I’m going to eat you!” She pouted her lips.

”No, that’s what you would do.” Moon Aiko immediately called her out.

”... So what, you would still enjoy it.” Danji clicked her tongue.

”I’m really tired for this kind of teasing.” Moon Aiko sighed. She was not really interested in all of this, she would much prefer rest.

”Fine, fine.” Danji waved the white flag before giving Aiko a small sculpture.

”What is this?” Moon Aiko immediately noticed that the Qi around it was strangely twisting.

”You were interested in how furniture could amplify Qi, so this is a small ornament that can do the same.” Danji smiled happily, but deep inside she was very unhappy at how it turned out.

”But...” Moon Aiko tilted her head, but was unable to finish her sentence.

”But why is the Qi twisting? That’s because this is not supposed to be moved constantly.” Danji clicked her tongue. She didn’t expect it would be so difficult to make furniture that could be moved around constantly.

Sure the furniture itself would not move, but since Moon Aiko wanted to build a flying ship with everything on it, then she had to adjust the furniture so that it could retain its function even when it was moved!

”Oh.” Moon Aiko didn’t expect that there were such severe limitations. ”Wait, what about natural formations?”

”They might work, but only some of them.” Mei popped out of nowhere with dark circles under her eyes. ”Here.”

She handed Aiko another Jade Slip with natural formations and ways to increase Qi through flora. Mei spent the whole night on it and it was very exhausting since she also included limitations and things that Aiko must avoid if she wanted to use them.

”Are you alright?” Moon Aiko felt a bit sad seeing Mei like this.

”I’m fine, I will just go to bed.” Mei yawned.

Moon Aiko followed in suit, yawning.

”You too?” Mei chuckled.

”Forgot the flying boat.” Moon Aiko nodded her head.

”Then let’s go to bed.” Mei smirked towards Danji.

”And she is joining.” Moon Aiko yawned again.

”What?!” Mei almost woke up completely because of that sentence. Even Danji was speechless, and the surrounding Foxes were holding their breath.

Nobody expected for Aiko to be so daring and murmurs immediately spread all around thanks to Demonic Foxes.

”Yeah.” Moon Aiko yawned yet again. ”Since you like to taunt her, then she will come with us.” She stretched weakly. It seemed like she needed a lot more rest than she expected.

”Grrr...” Mei growled unhappily.

”Fufufu~” Danji hummed happily, but was also startled by this.

She never expected for Aiko to take the reins like this, but it’s true that if she did it like this they wouldn’t be able to fight.

It was obvious that both Aiko and Mei were tired. If it was just Mei, Danji would be able to taunt her and make her miserable, but since Aiko would be around, that put a stick into her plans.

They all obediently followed Aiko, while curious Foxes trailed them until they were picked by the Grandmaster, smiling scarily.

”W-we weren’t doing anything!” The Demonic Fox stuttered.

”Right, right!” And the other Fox nodded her head furiously.

”You have a lot of energy, so how about you accompany me~?” Dai Lu needed more sparring partners, so this was the perfect opportunity.

”C-can we refuse?” The Fox gulped nervously.

The Grandmaster just smiled. It seemed like there were only two options: Yes and yes...

-----

Moon Aiko plopped into the bed, not minding the others.

”She is quite cute like this, huh?” Danji nudged Mei. While they did constantly fight, their minds strangely aligned when it came to Aiko.

”You think so too?” Mei chuckled softly. ”She is the cutest like this, not causing any trouble.”

”Keep at it and you will jinx it.” Danji teased Mei.

”Gosh, you truly believe that Aiko would be causing disasters in her sleep?” Mei rolled her eyes.

”...” Seeing that Danji was not answering, Mei suddenly paused.

”You are joking right?” Mei was slightly intimidated by the silence.

”It’s Aiko.” Danji said simply as she shrugged.

”But...” Mei pursed her lips. She was interrupted again.

”It’s Aiko.” Danji nodded her head seriously.

”...” This time Mei was the one silent. Considering Aiko’s track record it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility, but that didn’t mean that Mei could imagine it.

She was still not completely convinced, but at least she wouldn’t run her mouth like that again.

Danji went into bed hugging Aiko.

”Hey!” Mei glared at her and went to bed hugging her too.

Meanwhile, Aiko was squished like a fish, gasping for her life...

-----

”FUCKING TITS!” Moon Aiko jumped from between them gasping for air. The morning sun shone into the room, but she was not rested at all.

She turned around to stare at those hateful things and swore to make her chest smaller!

The duo was startled and woke up, only to see Aiko glaring at them.

They gulped nervously. ”Good morning.”

Moon Aiko sat down between them before opening her eyes seriously. ”Pack up.”

”Huh?” Mei was startled by that sentence.

”You think I will want to sleep with you if I can’t rest!” Moon Aiko breathed fire like she was turning into some kind of demon.

”I couldn’t sleep at all, but I couldn’t get out either because I lacked energy!” Moon Aiko protested. ”If I wasn’t at such a high Beast Rank you would be cuddling a corpse!” Even if that was not true, Moon Aiko wanted to get the message across.

”Sorry...” They both apologised and fixed her dresses before going out.

Moon Aiko huffed before falling into the bed. She didn’t want to have such an outburst, but that sleep was truly uncomfortable!

-----

”This is your fault.” Mei glared at Danji, especially at her chest.

”How is that my fault?” Danji proudly made them jiggle, angering Mei further.

”You wanna fight, huh? Mei pulled up her sleeve, since rolling was impossible.

”Fufu~” Danji also got into her battle stance and they were ready to battle it out.

However, at that moment two pillows spiralled into their faces and sent them flying.

”There shall be silence!” Moon Aiko proclaimed from within the small ’home’, before silence returned to the place once again.

Mei and Danji blinked strangely at each other. They had a lot of energy and means to divert those pillows, but neither of them expected it so they both ended up on the floor.

”Aiko is getting better.” Mei said seriously.

”I can’t slack off either.” Danji nodded her head.

”Tsk, mosquito.” Mei clicked her tongue.

”Says the weed eater.” Danji snorted back at her.

Suddenly, some sort of mist spread from within Aiko’s borrowed ’home’.

”I said there shall be silence.” Moon Aiko walked out like a half zombie, half Fox, scaring them.

They both immediately booked it, so Aiko waited for a while if they would return before ’slithering’ back into the ’home’ and resting again.

”We were almost killed because of you.” Mei complained in a hushed voice.

”If you want to complain, at least stop groping my thigh.” Danji complained back at her.

”How was I supposed to know you are so fat!” Mei complained, but the sensation left after those juicy thighs was hard to forget.

”Says the twig.” Danji snorted back.

If... If it was not for their constant rivalry they might’ve made a good pair...

-----

Moon Aiko woke up, finally fully rested. She was happy that strength returned to her body and that everyone actually let her rest without disturbing her!

Moon Aiko sat down only to see 20 pairs of eyes staring at her.

She immediately picked up her pillows and like a repeating crossbow started firing them at them.

The Demonic Foxes immediately scattered, but a few of them were lucky enough to get hit by Aiko’s pillow, with scent still on them.

The Demonic Foxes immediately ran, only to be chased by other Foxes.

”Surrender that pillow, you fiend!” One Fox proclaimed righteously, but everyone knew that everyone here present was a pervert...

”What in the world...” Moon Aiko blinked her eyes.

”They are just fooling around.” Yu giggled, returning the cleaned pillows to Aiko.

”Thank you...” Moon Aiko was so confused that she didn’t understand what was happening.

”Pretty much everyone was waiting until you rested properly, so they didn’t move for almost the whole day. And when someone would make any kind of noise they would be immediately reprimanded, so they are just catching up with what they missed.” Yu explained the situation, making Aiko even more speechless.

”I can’t with them.” Moon Aiko shook her head, but she still laughed at the absurdity.

”Do you regret taking us in?” Yu was concerned that Aiko might change her mind about Demonic Foxes.

”No.” Moon Aiko shook her head. This liveliness was not bad as long as it didn’t disturb her rest.

Moreover, she also knew that those Foxes were highly skilled, which would be important later for her plans.

”I’m glad.” Yu smiled sweetly. She could naturally tell that Aiko treasured them, which made her incredibly happy.

”You should be.” Moon Aiko played the ’Queen’ role, but she only got a giggle back.

”Hey...” Moon Aiko pouted. She expected her to play along, but it didn’t seem like Yu wanted to.

Well, she was quite relaxed, which made Aiko happy, so all was good...
