Chapter 976 – Evil Sky City’s Treasury

....
“I’ve heard it already,” Verdant Rainbow responded absentmindedly as she carefully studied a 12-page document for fear of missing any information.

“Guild Leader Black Flame sure knows how to surprise people,” Frey sighed as she took a seat in the tent. “An Epic Siege Weapon! I can’t believe he has been hiding such a thing! Only royal powers have been seen owning such a caliber of Siege Weapon thus far. How did he even get his hands on one?

“Regardless, Evil Nature is definitely writhing after the fall of Evil Sky City. It might even be regretting persecuting Zero Wing in the first place. It’s also going to suffer once the Void Beast Tide occurs.”

Frey had watched Shi Feng and Zero Wing grow from basically nothing.

Initially, Zero Wing was only a small Guild from an Elementary God’s Domain. However, once the Guild expanded its development into the Eternal Realm, it quickly established itself in the Crystal City of Secrets. Later, it established itself in the World Ark and enabled the Red Dragon Nation, a pseudo-apex power, to make significant profits. Now, it had demolished Evil Nature’s headquarters in the Eternal Realm, a feat the Red Dragon Nation dared not even consider attempting.

Shi Feng and Zero Wing’s growth happened so rapidly that it was simply astounding.

Is this why he was confident of eliminating Evil Nature from the Eternal Realm? Verdant Rainbow took a deep breath to soothe her thumping heart. After she finished the document, she felt both excited and relieved.

The Guild’s core executives had been highly critical of her latest assistance to Shi Feng. This was because this assistance came at a massive cost. However, after learning of Shi Feng’s accomplishments, she felt her sacrifices were not in vain.

According to the Seven Luminaries Alliance’s latest intelligence report, the Siege Weapon Zero Wing used against Evil Sky City was extraordinary. It was superior to the average Epic Siege Weapon.

The Seven Luminaries Alliance was a transcendental existence, even among the human race’s apex powers. When it came to intelligence gathering, not even the Holy Race’s royal powers could necessarily match it. According to the Alliance’s investigations, although an Epic Siege Weapon could be used to take down Evil Sky City, the action would come with a hefty price tag. Additionally, the process would be long and arduous.

The fact that Zero Wing’s Siege Weapon could destroy Evil Sky City in what was essentially one hit proved that it was undoubtedly at the Epic rank at the very least. The Seven Luminaries Alliance’s current estimates gave a 90% probability that it was at the Epic rank and a 10% probability that it was at the Inferior Legendary rank.

Furthermore, even if Zero Wing’s Siege Weapon was only at the Epic rank, its offensive capabilities surpassed all of Evil Nature’s Epic Siege Weapons. This advantage would allow it to suppress any of Evil Nature’s Epic Siege Weapons one-on-one, although it might be at a disadvantage facing two of Evil Nature’s Epic Siege Weapons. However, should Evil Nature withdraw two of its Epic Siege Weapons from the frontlines to deal with Zero Wing, it would risk getting eliminated from the war.

The war among the three races might be known as such, but it wasn’t strictly a competition over NPC Cities among the three races. Powers of the same race also competed among themselves over these NPC Cities so that more of their members could have shelter against the impending Void Beast Tide. It was also because of this internal competition within the Holy Race and the Crystallian race that the human race’s various powers still had room to breathe. Otherwise, with how far behind the human race was, the Holy Race and the Crystallian race would have long since captured all of the human race’s NPC Cities.

Should Evil Nature allow Zero Wing to tie up two of its Epic Siege Weapons, the Seven Luminaries Alliance could partner with other powers to take over the NPC Cities occupied by Evil Nature. After all, the main factor that differentiated royal powers from apex powers was Epic Siege Weapons. Once this factor was removed, an apex power wouldn’t necessarily lose to a royal power in a fight.

If Zero Wing’s Siege Weapon turned out to be at the Inferior Legendary rank, in Verdant Rainbow’s opinion, she had won the jackpot. Of course, the possibility of this being the case was extremely low.

According to the intelligence the Seven Luminaries Alliance had collected on the Holy Race, none of the known Holy Race powers owned an Inferior Legendary Siege Weapon. However, when it came to the ranking system of Siege Weapons, even a half-rank advantage would let a Siege Weapon fight against multiple Siege Weapons and win with ease. With the current number of Epic Siege Weapons Evil Nature had deployed to the Eternal Realm, it had no way of defeating an Inferior Legendary Siege Weapon.

Hence, eliminating Evil Nature from the Eternal Realm wouldn’t be difficult if Zero Wing had an Inferior Legendary Siege Weapon. So long as Evil Nature didn’t join forces with other royal powers, the Seven Luminaries Alliance could even guarantee Evil Nature’s elimination.

…

World Ark, Evil Sky City:

“Guild Leader Black Flame, after what you’ve done here, you must be careful of Fist Emperor,” Jun Tiankuo said after meeting up with Shi Feng, a hint of fear flashing in his eyes as he remembered something. “That guy is a complete lunatic on the war’s frontlines. Even the Holy Race’s royal powers are helpless against him.”

“Is he very strong?” Shi Feng asked, confused by Jun Tiankuo’s warning.

Shi Feng had never heard of the title of Fist Emperor. He found it hard to believe that the Holy Race’s royal powers would be helpless against an expert he had never heard about before. After all, even Garuda, the Holy Race’s number one chosen one, did not possess such influence and capability.

“Not really.” Jun Tiankuo shook his head. “Fist Emperor might be a sixth-floor expert, but his strength isn’t why the royal powers are helpless against him. It’s because of his background. I don’t have any concrete information, but rumors have it that he is the disciple of some almighty individual among the Holy Race. There are also rumors saying that he hails from a powerful family.

“In any case, it is a fact that the Holy Race’s royal powers fear him. Even when Fist Emperor caused several of their chosen ones to suffer permanent deaths, they simply turned a blind eye to his actions. They even forbade their chosen ones from taking revenge. This matter has already spread on the frontlines.”

“He has a background that can influence the Holy Race’s royal powers?” After hearing Jun Tiankuo’s explanation, Shi Feng understood why the other party had cautioned him about Fist Emperor. If Fist Emperor were to utilize his background, Zero Wing’s opponent might no longer be limited to just Evil Nature. “Thank you. I will be careful.”

“It’s nothing. Many people on the frontlines already know about this,” Jun Tiankuo said, waving his hand. Then, fighting spirit flared in his eyes as he continued, “If you want to thank me, I hope you can allow me to duel you under the same Basic Attributes, Guild Leader Black Flame.”

“No problem. Just contact me whenever you want to fight,” Shi Feng said, not opposed to satisfying Jun Tiankuo’s request.

Jun Tiankuo was one of the human race’s Ten Great Tanks in Shi Feng’s previous life, so there was no harm in improving relations with him. After all, when raiding Taboo Bosses, a powerful tank could greatly reduce the raid’s difficulty.

“That’s a promise.” Jun Tiankuo’s gaze grew determined at Shi Feng’s words. “I still need to do a friend a favor. I will visit Zero Wing once I’m done.”

“Okay.” Shi Feng nodded.

After watching Jun Tiankuo’s team leave on the Twin-Headed Dragon, Shi Feng contacted Blackie and had him bring some people to ransack Evil Sky City’s City Lord’s Mansion.

Besieging cities was one of the most popular activities among God’s Domain’s various powers. This was because they could get a free Guild City and all the wealth accumulated in the city.

If this were in his previous life, not even the Seven Luminaries Alliance would ever consider besieging Evil Sky City, let alone Zero Wing. The Seven Luminaries Alliance would have been over the moon if it could seize a Guild City from the Holy Race’s apex powers, let alone from one of its ten royal powers.
