NIGHTS OF HALLOW

Regan obeying the order of his mother, Lady Rosamonda went around the castle looking and searching for any intruder or anything suspicious. But even after he walked for almost five minutes, he didn’t come across anyone or anything suspicious.

Remembering the flame was seen on the East wing of the castle, he decided to go there and find out what was going on. On reaching the East wing, except for the flames from the burning trees, he didn’t see any other thing. Though he wondered how the fire came about.

Just to make sure he made a thorough investigation, Regan walked deeper into the forest, but still, there was nothing else he found. It was only the burning trees and the whistling of the wind against the tree branches.

With a sigh, Regan walked back to where he came from. Before he could reach for the door handle that led to the inside of the castle, he heard a crack beneath his feet making him stop in his tracks.

Regan looked down to see what caused the crack and he saw the ice-covered floor on which he stood.

How did the ice come to be on the floor? He questioned himself as he heard more cracking sounds. His gaze followed the line of the ice that continued to crack to see that it was not only on the floor on which he stood that had the ice. The ice covered everywhere, leaving no space.

Regan’s eyes widened in disbelief as he wondered how something that was not there when he came in was magically appearing now. How was that possible?!

Immediately, Regan didn’t waste a second more in the place as he quickly rushed out of there to look for the king and inform him about what was going on.

What Daemon didn’t notice when he left was the moving bodies that seemed to have been freed from the ice that Sthena used to trap them until he came back to break the illusion that was created in that place.

Regan hastily stopped one of the guards he saw on his way and demanded, ”Where is His Majesty?”

The guard who had seen the king a while ago with his frightening long and sharp claws displayed for everyone to see was visibly scared as stuttered an answer, ”H—His Majesty went t—towards the West wing.”

Without wasting time, Regan rushed off to look for Sthena. Midway, he stopped and wondered why he was looking for Sthena when his mother asked him to investigate what happened and report to her. But then, this was something he should inform the King about.

At the same time in Perdita’s room, she continued to struggle out of the stronghold of Daemon. In the process, she brought out her nails and used them to scratch and dig them into his face.

Daemon hissed in pain as blood trickled down his face and dropped on Perdita’s chest.

Daemon sat up on the bed, his face twisted in fury and his lips pulled up in an evil grin. He said, ”So this is how we are going to play it huh? Do not worry, I enjoy this type too.”

Perdita using the chance Daemon was distracted scrambled out of bed, but she didn’t go far as Daemon grabbed her hair in a tight grip and forcefully threw her on the bed. ”Stop trying to run, you make the chase more interesting. And what I don’t guarantee is you not getting hurt.”

”You are a beast, Daemon!” Perdita spat still using her claws to scratch and dig into his exposed skin everywhere possible.

Daemon chuckled and whispered in her ear, ”Of course, I am a beast. What you don’t want to agree to is that this beast is going to devour you, piece by piece. Were you thinking your lovable and kind King was going to save you? Oh no, that is a wishful thinking dear.”

”Let me go!” Perdita screamed, using her leg this time to kick Daemon’s face. The strong hit broke Daemon’s nose and blood seeped from the open wound.

”You are such a snake. Acting all quiet and helpful while all you wanted was for your selfish gains.” Perdita continued to hit and scratch as she spoke. But no matter what she did, Daemon only held her with a smile plastered on his face. He didn’t for once try to hit or punish her. This action of his made Perdita’s brows furrow in confusion mixed with anger.

”Are you done?” Daemon calmly questioned, the smile never left his face. ”Now it is my turn, don’t you think?” Just like he said, he forcefully pushed Perdita’s legs apart and held them in place with his legs.

”You are evil, Daemon. Tell me, why are you doing this, huh? Is it because you want more power? Do you want the throne? Is that why you are behaving like an animal without a brain?”

”You really know what I want, Perdita,” Daemon remarked. ”Isn’t it better you join my team now? You will be my Queen. Isn’t that great?”

”Fuck you, Daemon!” Perdita spat.

”Oh, that’s what I’m about to do to you now. Now be a good girl and stay calm.” Just as he finished speaking, Daemon bent over Perdita and forcefully sank his fangs into her neck, drawing blood from her.

As he drew blood from her, unknown to both him and Perdita, the anger she had been feeling was slowly conjuring something inside of her that came to settle on her fingertips.

Daemon’s mouth left Perdita’s neck and began trailing down her collarbone, harshly sucking and nipping on her skin clearly consumed by lust.

Perdita’s eyes blazed in a fit of uncontrollable anger as she struggled on the bed. Each time she moved, it made either Daemon’s fangs painfully graze her skin or his leg between her legs to knead her private part.

”Arrgh!” Perdita screamed, trying to alert someone outside, but nothing happened even after screaming her lungs out.

”Do you think someone will hear you? Scream as much as you want. It turns me on.” Daemon taunted and grazed his tongue over his fangs he didn’t bother to retract.

”We will see about that then,” Perdita hissed and in the next second she raised her hand and punched Daemon’s forehead.

Daemon staggered back on the bed, feeling dizzy from the hit which he couldn’t understand how a small punch could make him that way. Even Perdita too was surprised and immediately she stood from the bed.

She saw Daemon shake his head while trying to stand with his hand outstretched as if he wanted hold onto to something, but he couldn’t as he fell on the bed with his back. Before he could completely lose consciousness, he saw the faint blue light emitting from Perdita’s hand which she noticed too.

”Oh my,” Perdita gasped as she stared at her hand. This was the second time this light came out from her hand. First time being near the fireplace and now?

Immediately Daemon completely lost consciousness, Perdita didn’t waste another second in the room as she rushed out forgetting her dress was torn by Daemon and she was barely covered while screaming Marco’s name.

”Marco!”
