Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

[DING!]

[Game Ability Inheritance, Day Seven Begins!]

[In five seconds, game ability inheritance will commence again, based on the previously selected or a randomly chosen category!]

[Calculated based on in-game spending: Today marks the seventh inheritance stage. All players who have spent more than 1 million may inherit another 5% of their selected game ability category.]

[For players who have spent less than 1 million, inheritance for this category has now concluded! A new inheritance category will be available in one day!]

[In one day, inheritance for a new category will begin. Please prepare in advance.]

[If all selected game inheritance categories have been completed, the Game World Source Invasion will commence immediately....]

[DING!]

[Version 4.1 and Version 4.2 updates detected. Related rules are now evolving at an accelerated rate!]

As Shen Fei watched, lines of text scrolled across his panel. After five days of brewing, the effects of Version 4.2 were evolving at an accelerated pace. At this moment, every Ability User’s panel had undergone a major change. It was completely different from when they were first digitized five days ago.

But Shen Fei had no time to worry about the drastically changed panel. His gaze was fixed tightly on the text scrolling by.

”Game World Source Invasion?”

Seeing the extra line of text that hadn’t appeared in the previous inheritances, Shen Fei froze for a moment.

It’s happening sooner again!

In his previous life, this line of text had only appeared after three or four weeks of game ability inheritance. He never expected that in this life, this rule would come into effect right after the first category was fully inherited.

While Shen Fei was still dazed, lines of text scrolled out once more:

[Inheritance Game Confirmed: Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms]

[Inheritance Account Confirmed: Skyrocketing!]

[Spending amount greater than 1 million detected!]

[Seventh Game Ability Inheritance!]

[Inheriting from game: Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms!]

[Inheritance Category: Defense Towers!]

[Seventh Game Ability Inheritance Complete!]

[Acquired 32 Defense Towers!]

[DING!]

[First category complete. All 612 Defense Towers fully inherited!]

As Shen Fei watched, the text flashed by quickly, then slowly faded away.

”Ha!”

”Ha!”

”Hah!!”

As he completed the 100% inheritance of the category’s content, Shen Fei heard the surprised cries of his father, mother, and Shen Yue from the next room.

Because Yu had only spent a little over one hundred thousand for him, Uncle Sun’s inheritance had stopped two days ago. Because of this, on this seventh day of inheritance, Uncle Sun was at the Tourism Management Office, not at home.

Seeing that they had once again inherited an ability—this time the final one, which required spending 1 million—Father Shen and Mrs. Shen cried out in shock, despite being somewhat prepared. They had never been short on money, but they would never have spent 1 million on a game. Now, as the final 5% of the ability was inherited, Father Shen and Mrs. Shen were certain their son had secretly spent at least 1 million on their accounts.

Beside them, Shen Yue was also a little excited. She had also achieved 100% complete inheritance!

”Hm?”

It’s here again, just as I thought!

Ignoring his parents’ exclamations and without rushing online to check on everyone else’s situation, Shen Fei waited a little longer in anticipation. Sure enough, the text that had just disappeared reappeared moments later:

[DING!]

[Due to the influence of a special player!]

[Version 4.3 update commencing...]

Just as I wished! Version 4.3 is starting to update!

Because of Shen Fei, the accelerated version updates were happening ahead of schedule again. In his past life, Version 4.3, which was supposed to be released more than three months after ability inheritance began, was now updating after only one week. This situation was just as Shen Fei had predicted. Versions 4.1 and 4.2 had already been updated ahead of schedule, and Shen Fei had long been prepared for the arrival of Version 4.3.

Now, Version 4.3 had finally arrived! With Version 4.3 came the Neutral Cities! With the arrival of the Neutral Cities, Shen Fei could deploy all his Defense Towers without the slightest hesitation. He would no longer have to hole up in his villa. And the Soaring High Fan Club, which had long been bursting with anticipation and had been holding back for a week, could finally be unleashed to show its strength!

SWOOSH.

Seeing the news of the Version 4.3 update, Shen Fei didn’t hesitate. He immediately dispersed the mist shrouding his villa, and then a vine wrapped around his waist and pulled him out of the building. He looked up at the pitch-black night sky, trying to find something. Unfortunately, though the night was cloudless, he couldn’t see what he was looking for in the pitch-black darkness.

SWOOSH.

Having found nothing, Shen Fei returned to his bedroom.

SWOOSH.

The mist he had waved away once again enveloped the villa. Without going out to see what the excitedly screaming Shen Yue had inherited, Shen Fei returned to his bedroom and quickly logged into the Forum to find what he was looking for.

After some searching, Shen Fei finally found what he wanted in the foreign section of the Forum. Right now, it was daytime in other countries, and the phenomenon caused by Version 4.3 was clearly visible.

”Hello~”

”I’m on a business trip in Argentina~”

”Version 4.3 just updated, and this appeared above the South American city I’m in~”

”What is this! It’s not a giant city falling from the sky to crush the cities on Earth, is it??”

Quickly scrolling through the Forum, Shen Fei found what he was looking for. It was a post from a Thai person, showing a scene filmed in a South American city. High in the bright, sunny sky—which was a deeper blue because the Earth had grown larger and its atmosphere thicker—a massive phantom city was slowly appearing. The city looked like a medieval castle constructed from countless gray stones. From the ground, the city’s phantom image appeared out of thin air, rapidly solidifying and drawing closer to the ground.

Seeing the phantom in the video, Shen Fei let out a long breath.

Version 4.3 is here, and that means the Neutral Cities are here!

All sorts of different cities from various games would descend upon the enlarged Earth. Then, humanity could seize these Neutral Cities to gain unparalleled city-wide buffs.

In his past life, Xia Country had managed to capture ten Neutral Cities, but that was with the Combat Power they had after three months of game ability inheritance. In this life, the Neutral Cities appeared after only one week of inheritance. Shen Fei didn’t know how many cities Xia Country would be able to occupy. As for humanity as a whole, how many cities could they occupy...?

”Holy crap!”

”What is this? Is the Version 4.3 update just cities falling from the sky to destroy human cities?”

”Holy crap! I’m in North America, and it’s happening here too!”

”Whoa, I’m in Italy! It’s dusk here, but the phantom of a towering city, like a Divine Domain, has appeared on the horizon!”

As Shen Fei clicked through, the popularity of the post was skyrocketing. Many people started replying that something had also appeared in the sky where they were. Most of these were from cities where it was daytime. Due to visibility issues, no related information was posted from cities where it was night.

They’re finally here! The Neutral Cities! Time to start preparing!

Having confirmed the information, Shen Fei closed the post and thought to himself. After the Version 4.3 update, it would take 24 hours for the Neutral Cities to go from phantoms to fully descending onto Earth. And once these countless Neutral Cities landed on Earth, they would only exist for three days. If, within three days, humanity couldn’t capture the Neutral Cities, they would retreat into special regions. They would then either be occupied by NPCs, taken over by monsters, form into Secret Realms, or merge with the invading Game World Source.

Time was tight. Shen Fei needed to make a plan quickly.

”How’s the inheritance going for all the big shots? I only spent 100, so I only inherited for three days. I’ve had four empty days now!”

”Any big shots who spent 1 million, please share if you got any extra bonuses after hitting 100% inheritance!”

While thinking about the Neutral Cities, Shen Fei casually clicked through posts on the Forum. Although another wave of ability inheritance had arrived, in reality, very few people had inherited anything tonight. After all, the number of people who could spend 1 million was just too small. The vast majority of people inherited nothing tonight. At midnight on inheritance day, all they could do was spam the forums, calling for players who reached 100% inheritance to share their results.

”I just thought of a question!”

”You know, spending 1 million gets you full inheritance! But what about people who spent 10 million, 100 million, or even a billion? Do they get anything different?”

”After all, this damn inheritance rule is based on the Krypton Gold amount!”

”If 1 million is the finish line, wouldn’t someone who spent a billion be getting totally ripped off if they got the same thing as someone who spent 1 million?”

In the thread, someone suddenly asked a question from a great angle.

”Good question. I guess it’s the same, otherwise, the mega-whales would be gods! How could anyone else even play?”

”Good question! I bet the billion-dollar whales get special item rewards! After all, they spent so much!”

”Good question! I’m guessing there are hidden inheritance tiers for 10 million, 100 million, and 1 billion, but we’re just too low-level to see them...”

As more replies related to the Krypton Gold amount appeared, more and more people began to discuss what the inheritance scene would be like for those who spent more than 1 million. Unfortunately, no one answered. There were very few people who had spent 1 million in the first place. Those who had spent more than 1 million—10 million, 100 million, or even a billion—were even rarer. No one was there to answer the question.

Tomorrow night, I’ll inherit equipment and Crystals. After that, I’ll immediately prepare to seize a Neutral City! I can finally deploy all my Defense Towers instead of being so stingy, only putting out ten at a time!

His gaze swept over the Forum, across the posts about Krypton Gold amounts greater than 1 million. Shen Fei closed the Forum and laid out his plan.

The first category was now fully inherited. He had inherited all of his Defense Towers. Next, he could inherit the second category: equipment and Crystals. A Tower Master’s Crystal was an item separate from Defense Towers and was classified in the same category as equipment. As soon as the Crystals began to be inherited and fused with his body, Shen Fei’s health would instantly jump from ”10” points to ”1 million.” Even if he only inherited 5% on the first day, 5% of 1 million was still 50,000 health.

While inheriting Crystals would increase his health and enhance his safety, Shen Fei’s main goal was to seize a Neutral City.

In his past life, Qing City, a second-tier city, had of course failed to capture a Neutral City. The survivors, led by Zhang Qiqiang, who had inherited thousands of Grizzly Tanks, had used concrete and steel rebar to build a small Base City where they barely managed to survive. In this life, Shen Fei had prepared to seize a Neutral City long in advance. Only a Neutral City, certified by the rules, could allow his family and friends to live in greater safety. And only by obtaining a powerful Neutral City would his Defense Towers finally have a home.

Having made his decision, Shen Fei finally stood up and walked out of his bedroom.
