Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

The Earth had undergone a world-shaking transformation. Although Qing City was protected by Shen Fei, no crises had emerged, aside from its suburbs expanding and the distance to neighboring cities growing. In other cities, however, all sorts of massive changes were unfolding...

”Argh! I still have to wait another day!”

”I wonder how many whales will inherit their abilities tonight!”

”One million! Even though it’s only for the last 5% of the inheritance, I still feel a bit salty about it!”

In the main discussion area of the forum, a popular thread was buzzing with talk about tonight’s inheritance. This was because the ability inheritance was based on the amount of Krypton Gold spent in the game. Many players, due to their spending levels, had stopped inheriting their game abilities as early as three or four days ago. Having stopped, they could only wait for the second inheritance project to begin tomorrow night to continue.

Now, as the final inheritance day of the first project was about to arrive, they took to the new forum to complain about the injustice. Although the inheritance project’s rewards weren’t a linear progression based on Krypton Gold spending, they were still unhappy. As long as they were worse off than others, even if only by 1%, they felt it was unfair.

The daily inheritance thresholds had already been calculated.

On the first day, those who had spent 1 yuan could inherit 5% of their abilities.

On the second day, those who had spent 6 yuan could inherit another 5%, bringing their total to 10%.

On the third day, spending 88 yuan allowed for a 40% inheritance, for a total of 50%.

On the fourth day, spending 688 yuan brought the total to 80%.

On the fifth day, spending 68,800 yuan brought the total to 90%.

On the sixth day, spending 888,888 yuan brought the total to 95%.

On the seventh day, spending 1,000,000 yuan completed the inheritance at 100%.

.

Tonight was the final inheritance day of the first project. Those who had spent 1,000,000 yuan or more in Krypton Gold could complete the first project’s inheritance tonight.

”Forget complaining about the few days you missed inheriting. What I want to know is, has everyone decided what they’re inheriting for the second project tomorrow night?”

The popular thread was filled with all sorts of information, with some asking about inheritance plans for the next day.

”Is that even a question? Pick whichever one is best for survival, obviously!”

”The longer you live, the more you can inherit. So just pick the ability that gives you the best chance of survival!”

Someone offered their opinion, along with a proposal: For a Cultivation Game, the first two inheritances should be Cultivation and skills; for a Magic game, it should be Magic Power and skills; for a Wuxia game, it should be Internal Energy and weapons; for a tower defense game... well, never mind, tower defense games weren’t part of this discussion.

During the first project’s inheritance, many people had been confused and ended up with a random selection. After experiencing seven days of death and chaos, no one dared to leave the second inheritance project to chance. Everyone had planned in advance what they were going to inherit.

”I’ve already decided. I’m going to inherit the monsters from the game!”

Shen Fei saw a highly upvoted comment that proposed a different kind of inheritance from the others.

”I’m going to inherit monsters! I’m going to have the monsters cleanse the world!!

”Originally, those high-and-mighty bastards were already exploiting the common people before the apocalypse. I never thought that even after the apocalypse, they’d still be able to establish their own factions so quickly! Even without inheriting any abilities, they’re still on top!

”I just don’t get what those Ability Users who take orders from them are thinking!

”I’m going to inherit monsters! I’m going to let the monsters run rampant!

”I’m going to have the monsters wipe these people out indiscriminately!!!

”I won’t accept this!!”

The user who wrote this highly upvoted reply must have been wronged, as his response was filled with malice and rage. For his second inheritance project, he didn’t want to choose something to increase his own power; instead, he wanted to directly bring monsters into the world.

A week ago, because many people had chosen a random inheritance, some of them had ended up inheriting monsters. That was why, for the past seven days, monsters had been spawning every day during the inheritance period. But that was random, not a deliberate choice, and many specific monsters hadn’t appeared. If someone were to deliberately choose to inherit monsters, an even more chaotic situation would arise. Should a Super Boss appear, humanity, having only completed one inheritance project, might not be able to stop it.

Shen Fei saw that many people were upvoting that comment, and some were even making pacts to inherit monsters together. Fortunately, the new forum didn’t have a function for deleting posts. Otherwise, Shen Fei thought, a reply like this would have been deleted long ago, before the apocalypse.

”I heard some people played a Marvel Universe game. What do you think? If we inherit the finger-snapping Purple Sweet Potato Spirit, will your dream come true?”

”Everyone would be subjected to a fair 50/50 judgment. It wouldn’t matter what you’ve inherited or who you are; everyone would gamble their life by chance!”

Shen Fei saw someone quickly suggesting another method.

[DING!]

Just as Shen Fei was about to continue browsing the forum, his panel suddenly opened and lines of text scrolled into view. He looked down and saw that the time had reached midnight.

The final inheritance had begun...
