Taking the Mafia to the Magic World

Chapter 1154: The King of Light and Darkness I

In an instant, the black lightning descended upon the palace, passing through the different levels of the ruin, until it reached Vicente’s body.

The young man with long black hair trembled for the time of only one breath when he felt his world change, his existence leaving his own body, his senses expanded in infinite directions.

Vicente felt as if he were nothing, and at the same time, everything.

He felt the existences of Mylecent, Jelgos, and Barraz as if he were part of these entities, but at the same time, he felt himself part of the air and earth of Hell.

His senses made him feel an entire universe of darkness, each component radiating unique impressions, as if they were different stars in the vast space of the universe.

These were not stars but entities, children of darkness!

’This... This all...’

He was momentarily frightened by his senses, perceiving so much information that he couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable while neglecting his surroundings.

Even his throne, which normally showed itself available to help him, seemed inaccessible, completely silent.

But even surrounded by information and new possibilities, Vicente stayed centered. Closing his eyes and clenching his fists, he refocused his thoughts on his purpose there.

As he concentrated, his breathing changed, and the time around him seemed to return to normal, with much mana and dark element entering his body.

In just 10 seconds, Vicente’s cultivation transformed, reaching 8-Star of the Sorcerer stage as if such a feat were nothing!

Kong and the others kept an eye on him, feeling the powerful aura leaving the young man’s body who hadn’t even reached the 10th stage.

There was an immeasurable difference between the ultimate levels of the cultivation journey.

Normally, a Transcendent would never pay much attention to the current power of a Sorcerer. That was the reality, whether in Anicane or any other place. But Vicente escaped this ’rule,’ breaking the common notions of enemies and allies, drawing attention to a power capable of challenging the most powerful of Hell!

Vicente entered the end of the 9th stage, reaching 9-Star just 20 seconds after the black lightning!

’This can’t continue!’

Barraz was furious that Vicente had taken the lead and dominated the Law of Darkness, but he didn’t lose his cool. Instead of screaming in hatred and attacking impulsively, he made use of his most valuable artifact.

’If you finish absorbing the Law of Darkness, I’ll be dead! In that case, you can die here and now, damn brat!’

Even wounded, Barraz gathered an amount of mana capable of threatening Jelgos and Mylecent before launching a formation in the direction where Kong and Vicente were in that palace.

An incomparable brilliance appeared like a shooting star falling from the sky, initially seemingly harmless, but with every meter it fell, becoming more powerful and brighter, filled with an almost blinding white light.

Jelgos and Mylecent were quick to notice the enemy’s action, but they couldn’t react in defense of their ally as they wished. Feeling the power of the Demon-Killing Formation, the two felt their bodies failing, preventing them from acting fast enough.

’Damn!’ The two felt shivers through their bodies, unable to believe that, soon after Vicente succeeded, he would fall into such a complicated situation.

What was the Demon-Killing Formation? It was one of the 5 strongest weapons in Hell!

Such a device, legends said, could end the dimension. In ancient times, the formation had been part of the domains of a powerful Absolute, and since the formation of Hell, it had passed secretly from hand to hand of a demonic race in secrecy, so that no Deity would ever discover its location.

Not even the strongest Devils of Hell had the information of who owned such a tool over the generations. All they knew were the legends regarding the formation, some ancient names that made use of it before countless eras passed with the weapon hidden.

But the power of light, capable of annihilating darkness and infernal crowns, was impossible to confuse. The moment Jelgos and Mylecent saw the small white star thrown by Barraz, they were certain this was one of the most coveted weapons of the dimension!

Both sweated cold, at that moment unable to help but feel it was the end of Vicente... Or worse, the end of all of them!

’Damn Barraz! I didn’t expect you to have something so powerful!’ Mylecent felt the bitterness of defeat, now seeing that she never had a chance against this opponent. ’It seems you were more careful than I thought!’

But she wasn’t willing to fall without retaliation. Biting her tongue, she turned her attention to the enemy.

’It seems I won’t be able to fulfill my destiny... A shame.’

Mylecent thought of Minos one last time, for a mere fraction of a second closing her eyes and thinking of his figure.

When she reopened her eyes, Mylecent saw the most absurd scene of her life, hearing from the depths of that castle the voice of Vicente.

”Trying to hurt me with light?” Vicente asked in a humorous tone.

At the same time his voice reverberated through the domain, Vicente’s figure appeared over the palace, sitting on a giant, black and white throne.

A Reincarnation Wheel materialized behind him, along with the emergence of a river of shadows.

Meanwhile, a small white star rested on one of his hands, shining even brighter than moments ago, illuminating almost the entire region.

All the undead were burned until the last crumb of their essences disappeared, while Barraz was suppressed, falling as every part of his body burned with the intense light hitting him.

He was beginning his escape after making use of his ultimate weapon when he was taken by surprise by the sudden change in the situation.

He should’ve been the least affected by the light of the Demon-Killing Formation, as he was the one who activated it. However, at this moment, it was he who was burning from the intense light of the artifact, while his enemies watched curiously, enjoying his disgrace.

”How is this possible?” Barraz asked in horror, his voice marked by pain capable of surpassing physical limits and inflicting the very soul.

Vicente smiled, not expecting the enemy to actually help him with something so useful!

’I succeeded in absorbing the Law of Darkness, so my light naturally lost space on the throne.’ He reflected silently. ’However, this small artifact seems to contain a power of light capable of counterbalancing this distortion. It’s not the same as having the Law of Light, but I can feel that my light will be stronger whenever I have the artifact with me!’

Vicente looked at his other hand, causing a ball of darkness to emerge, creating a peculiar scene for his few observers.

Then, looking at Barraz, he pronounced his sentence. ”You helped me a lot, Senior Barraz. Not only did you make me grow to the peak of the 9th stage, but you gave me such a valuable gift... Thus, I will make you taste the combination of these two powers before anyone else!”

Vicente joined his two hands and threw the result of the combination of darkness and light toward Barraz, returning to the Devil the gift from moments ago.
