Taking the Mafia to the Magic World

Chapter 1153: The Law of Darkness

’I found you!’ Vicente saw a white singularity, shining intensely, like a small star, hidden in the deepest part of Barraz’s palace.

Vicente spent almost 20 seconds searching for the enemy’s palace, avoiding the areas most affected by the Elemental Crystal explosion, and trying to ignore the signs of the beginning of the confrontation between Mylecent and Jelgos against Barraz. But as he had already sensed the signs of the Law of Darkness in his opponent’s body and, with his extreme affinity for the element, he didn’t need much to locate the most negative area of the underground of this building.

Looking at the essence behind that Reincarnation Wheel, Vicente was certain that the Law of Darkness was there!

Kong couldn’t be as sure, but he stood guard, his back to Vicente, ready to fight in defense of his leader for as long as necessary.

”Did you find it?” Kong asked, his voice solemn and low.

At this moment, the undead and hellish guardians of Barraz that had not been destroyed by the Elemental Crystal were mostly fighting on the surface, acting against Mylecent’s forces. But some were moving wildly through the interior of the ruined palace at this moment.

”I believe so. I am 90% sure that this is the Reincarnation Wheel I am looking for,” Vicente said in one breath, his fists clenched as he stood motionless.

”Good! Go ahead. I’ll take care of the backside while you conquer it!” Kong said in a slightly more optimistic tone, though still serious and concerned.

They had no time to lose, and as soon as the white dragon’s voice ceased, Vicente was already millimeters away from the white glow hidden in that underground area.

Vicente was in a hurry to get the law as quickly as possible, aware that the difference of one level between the enemy and his allies was enough to put them at great risk. Without Mylecent and Jelgos, escaping from Barraz, even if this Devil was wounded or exhausted at the end of the current combat, would still be very difficult for him and Kong.

That should be the truth, at least if he failed in his mission.

To avoid the worst-case scenario, Vicente could only think about his success and act as fast as he could!

’I hope being the ’chosen one’ of Hell finally brings me something good! So far, I’ve only had problems!’ Vicente took a deep breath as he advanced with both hands toward the white glow, which was almost impossible to see through.

The moment he advanced, he felt the world around him turn black and white instantly. The cracks growing throughout the interior of the palace stopped advancing, and the dust falling from the ceiling floated motionless, as if time had suddenly stopped.

At the same time, the intense white light lost its brightness, becoming opaque and faint, with a completely black mist rising from the floor, walls, and ceiling, enveloping Vicente until he was completely removed from the reality of the palace’s underground.

He furrowed his eyebrows, feeling the shape of a white water wheel materializing in the position of the white glow, along with a river of black water beginning to flow, rising and dying beyond where he could see.

Vicente felt the concentration of mana and darkness around him change. He felt as if negative veins were pulsing everywhere, sustaining the very reality around him, like invisible threads of reality connecting the parts of reality.

By this time, the signs of the clash between his allies and the enemy had disappeared without a trace, making him feel as if he had left Hell and entered a new reality.

Vicente felt something inside him change, and even without allowing it, his Throne of Darkness and Light materialized with its pentagrams.

The river of darkness flowed faster, while Vicente’s senses of his surroundings improved substantially. The foggy and difficult-to-understand space became a transparent world, revealing an incomplete image of a black and white throne, as well as a cracked black crown.

The water wheel seemed to move with difficulty, with a high-pitched sound exposing the tension in its structure, revealing unexpected weaknesses.

Souls were supposed to enter the black river, pass through the water wheel, and then move on, transformed and restarted. However, the feeling coming from this phenomenon at the moment was different.

”Indeed. It is incomplete... And like the other Reincarnation Wheel, it is not working as it should.” Vicente sighed, already certain that this was indeed his target, but also confirming the weaknesses of what was there to absorb.

Hell was not working as it should. This was a reality that all Devils knew well. It was no coincidence that specters and ghosts existed on different planes and demons had escaped the dimension and begun to reproduce across countless planes. None of this should have happened, and for countless years, the Devils had merely controlled the problems, unable to resolve anything definitively.

Vicente had understood everything at this point. Hell, for starters, should not exist. Its existence was a sign of the end of something greater, related to the end of the Celestial King and the ”end” of the Nine Paths.

Naturally, life and death were in disarray. There were incomplete laws, flaws. Reality was fractured and at the mercy of the powerful.

The way things were, without a revolution, nothing would improve. Either things would remain as bad as they were, or they would get much worse in the long run. He was sure of it.

Touching the Reincarnation Wheel behind the Law of Darkness made him feel bad. His will was to restore order and ancient glory. His will was to have a world capable of sustaining his loved ones for eternity.

The desire of the Law of Darkness was the same.

’I see.’ Vicente closed his eyes, feeling connected to the darkness on a level he had never experienced before. ’You recognize me as your natural heir. But you want to be whole again. I promise you that as long as I have the strength, I will seek to restore you to your former glory! I don’t know how or when, but I won’t stop until I fulfill that promise!’

The white water wheel lost its dull shine, coming to a complete stop, while the black river became more and more transparent.

Meanwhile, a spark almost imperceptible to the eye, but pulsing in the element of darkness, entered Vicente’s existence, penetrating him at the height of his heart.

The mana and darkness surrounding the entire region dominated by Barraz changed noticeably at that moment, rapidly changing state and accelerating toward Vicente’s body.

Crack!

A black lightning bolt descended from the hellish skies above Barraz’s palace, striking the ancient ruins in that area with force before causing the entire region, hundreds of thousands of square kilometers, to tremble.

The undead standing still froze, immobilized by an invisible force. Hellish guardians everywhere vibrated, almost being wiped out of existence.

Meanwhile, the Devils nearby changed their expressions and focus, all looking in the same direction in horror.

Gulp!

”What is that?” Barraz wondered in concern, momentarily distracted.

In the underground of his palace, a dominant force that made him feel momentarily inferior had just emerged!
