Taking the Mafia to the Magic World

Chapter 1123: Towards the Red Enclave

Vicente quickly felt his cultivation stabilize at the 6-Star of the Sorcerer Stage, feeling his strength at a new peak, with more pentagrams of his two forms having reached the qualitative peak—Violet grade.

He had only advanced in cultivation once on this occasion, but the feeling for him was as if he had improved two or three times as much.

Looking at his hands and the energy circulating through them, Vicente felt the fabric of space-time pass through his fingers as if his hands were in water. For a moment, he felt his connection with Hell grow stronger, but he quickly blocked his own powers as he felt a sudden chill.

’I’d better not get too carried away by the feeling of power.’ He remembered not only the war going on in Hell but also the Entitled Deity who had attacked him before Minos took him to Hell.

Just as he could be a threat to some of the Devils fighting in Hell, as a Devil, he was a threat to the Entitled Deities of Argardus—the Upper Realm, as the experts of Hell called their enemy dimension.

”It’s amazing how simple such an incredible thing has become with you,” Lyra murmured, then shook her face and asked for forgiveness. ”I mean, you’re so out of touch with reality that violet pentagrams are no longer a differentiator for you. I wonder what will happen when you progress to the 10th stage, Vicente.”

Vicente looked at her and thought about it, too. ’Really, for my current self, violet pentagrams are just more of the same...’

Looking at his other friends in the middle of this dead and gloomy forest, he sighed before saying, ”I don’t know about the future either. But it will come, not as slowly as some of you might like.”

With a wave of his hand, Vicente moved back towards the valley’s headquarters. ”But don’t think too much about it. Let’s get back and get on with my plans. It’s time to go, friends.”

Rex and Larissa felt excited about the journey ahead, finally able to sail back across the Sea of Stars, this time much stronger and better prepared. Meanwhile, Lyra followed them not so optimistically, naturally feeling the negative effects that every approaching farewell brought.

But she was determined to stay and follow what she had already planned, leaving it to Vicente or his subordinates to tell her about her future steps without having to take any risks.

As Vicente had given her gifts, Lyra also gave him some items—books in general—things to his advantage. Although he was already powerful, a little more information wouldn’t hurt.

When they arrived back at the valley, they weren’t surprised to find the members of this force lined up, waiting to give their final greetings to their new sovereign before his departure.

Vicente didn’t concentrate on speaking for more than a minute, saying only the minimum to make this force aware of what they had to do and how far they were from a good relationship with him. He concentrated more on saying goodbye to Lyra, thanking her for the books and wishing her luck.

”... If you meet any of my family or sect members, help them in any way you can, Lyra.”

”Hmm, don’t worry, I’ll never forget our conversations and everything you showed me. If I ever meet one of those women, I’ll do my best.” She promised, seeing him smile in thanks.

Vicente then turned to leave, giving a final wave goodbye before bringing Larissa and Rex to his side. The undead he had left with Lyra and the Valley of Shadows.

”That’s it, everyone. When you die, I’ll welcome you to Hell!” With those morbid words, Vicente disappeared from the heart of the sect.

...

Two days later, near the port city where Vicente’s group’s previously stolen ship was located, a large ice dragon was cowering on top of the nearest mountain.

Then, the beast suddenly raised his head in the air, looking in the opposite direction of the sea.

”You really chose to come.”

A second after the dragon moved, three figures materialized a few dozen meters in front of the beast, and the one in the middle of the formation spoke in a seemingly satisfied tone.

”You’re stronger,” said the dragon as he narrowed his eyes, impressed by the speed of cultivation of this man whom he had only seen a few days ago and now already seemed different. ”You’re not the Celestial King’s destined heir, but maybe you’re on the way to get to him, Vicente Fuller.”

Vicente appreciated Kong’s compliment, but went straight to the heart of the meeting. ”I can already imagine your decision, but I’ll ask anyway. Will you join me on this journey, Senior Kong?”

The ice dragon said, ”Yes, after meeting you that day, I feel that my value will be wasted by being confined to a mountain.” He paused for a moment before thickening his voice. ”Damn it, what have I got to lose? I’ve been a coward to sit still for all these years. Even if I die, what will I lose?”

Without letting one of the three individuals floating in the air say anything in response, Kong continued, ”Vicente Fuller, I have nothing else in this world holding me back, but I will do my best to help you achieve your goals. That includes using my life and corpse as a stepping stone to take you further! The only thing I ask is that you make a place for the dragons of Polaris Realm in your domains.”

Vicente liked what he heard, seeing how Kong had overcome the darkness that had trapped him on that mountain, let part of the past die away and regained his long-lost will.

Kong’s eyes reflected his pain and history, but now there was a new energy, a fire making him rise in rebellion against the prevailing order!

Vicente became serious, not refusing the offer and the courage of this mythical creature. ”All right,” he said in a deep tone. ”I can’t guarantee you success or glory, but we will fight with honor against the bastards who brought us to this moment! Kong, together, we will change reality!”

Kong nodded back to Vicente, seeing existence much more clearly now that the shadows of his soul no longer hindered him.

”We have a lot to talk about, but now is not the time. Let’s get going. The Red Enclave is waiting for us!”

They moved on towards the nearby port without further conversation, passing through the town without attracting attention and soon arriving at their ship. Kong naturally changed shape midway, transforming into a humanoid version of himself capable of traveling with the rest of the group.

Like that, they left the Inviting Isles!
