We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 227: If Itʼs for Your Sake, Then I Wonʼt Be a Monk Anymore

After Wangxin helped Xiao Mo eliminate the baleful qi, when Xiao Mo urged Wangxin to leave this time, he didnʼt threaten her with his blade, but rather earnestly persuaded her but just as Xiao Mo had anticipated, Wangxin still didnʼt leave and continued following behind Xiao Mo.

Although Wangxin appeared incredibly fragile on the outside, and even when bullied by Xiao Mo would only sit there blankly by herself without even getting angry, within Wangxinʼs body was a stubbornness carved into her very bones.

However, Xiao Mo discovered that ever since he had said those words to her, Wangxin had become even more silent than before.

Moreover, she often spaced out.

Even when Xiao Mo stopped walking, Wangxin would continue forward.

Only when she bumped into a tree would Wangxin let out a ”wu” sound and cover her head, tears welling up in her eyes.

Xiao Mo also didnʼt know what exactly Wangxin was thinking about.

When Xiao Mo asked her, Wangxin would only keep shaking her head, refusing to say anything but before long, Wangxin gently tugged at the corner of Xiao Moʼs robe, those clear eyes blinking as she looked at Xiao Mo.

”What is it?” Xiao Mo turned and asked.

”I, I want a blade,” Wangxin said timidly, with some nervousness showing in her eyes.
Xiao Mo was slightly stunned, ”What do you want a blade for?”

”...” Wangxin still kept her head lowered, not answering.

Looking at her appearance, although Xiao Mo was very puzzled in his heart, he didnʼt ask further. He simply took out a black dagger from his storage bag and tossed it to Wangxin, ”This dagger was forged by my junior sister for me. Iʼve never used it. Itʼs yours now.”

”Oh, oh, wu.” Wangxin nodded, cradling the dagger in her hands with a thoughtful expression.

”Is there a problem?” Xiao Mo asked. ”Are you dissatisfied with this blade?”

”No, itʼs not that.” Wangxin shook her head, raised her head, and blinked her eyes. ”Xiao Mo, you also have a junior sister?”

”Yes, not long after you left Karma Blood Peak, Xue Kui brought her back. Why?”

”Itʼs nothing.” Wangxin shook her head again. ”I can sense that when your junior sister forged this blade, she put great care into it.”

”Who knows.” Xiao Mo turned around and continued walking forward. ”This blade is very sharp. Be careful with it.”

Before they knew it, the curtain of night was drawn across the sky.

Xiao Mo casually found a small clearing on the mountain, lit a campfire, then closed his eyes to rest. However, Wangxin had gone somewhere unknown but Xiao Mo wasnʼt worried.

With Wangxinʼs realm, very few people could harm her.

Not to mention Wangxin had protective treasures given by the abbot of Kongnian Temple on her person. Even he would need to exert some effort to kill her.

Around midnight, rustling sounds came from the bushes across the way.

The moment Xiao Mo opened his eyes, he saw Wangxin running out from the bushes.

In her arms, she was holding a mother rabbit.

This mother rabbit had its front paws resting on Wangxinʼs arms, its belly exposed, hind legs dangling in the air, looking completely bewildered as it was carried by Wangxin, not struggling or resisting at all.

”Why did you bring a rabbit over? You want me to roast it and eat it?” Xiao Mo asked curiously.

”No, no itʼs not that...” Wangxin was startled and hastily turned around, afraid that the bunny in her arms would be sprinkled with cumin by Xiao Mo. ”Iʼm not roasting it for you to eat.”

Seeing her nervous appearance, Xiao Mo didnʼt continue asking and closed his eyes again.

Wangxin noticed that Xiao Mo had no ill intentions toward the bunny in her arms, and only then did she place the rabbit far away on the ground, her eyes blinking as she watched it...

The rabbit also looked at the human who had brought it over in confusion, not knowing what she wanted to do to it.

…

Morning.

When Xiao Mo opened his eyes, he saw Wangxin pointing that black dagger at the big white rabbit.

The big white rabbitʼs red eyes stared blankly at Wangxin.

Wangxinʼs small hand gripping the dagger trembled slightly.

Finally, as if she had made up her mind, Wangxin thrust the dagger down toward the big white rabbit.

The big white rabbit didnʼt dodge, still looking at Wangxin curiously.

Just as the black dagger was about to pierce the rabbitʼs back, the dagger stopped instantly. Wangxin swallowed, unable to bring herself to stab down.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

Wangxin thrust toward the big white rabbit again and again but several times, either the dagger hovered in midair or it stabbed beside the big white rabbitʼs foot.

One time, this dagger finally touched the big white rabbit, a tuft of the big white rabbitʼs fur fell off.

Wangxin was startled and hastily reached out to gently stroke the big white rabbit, as if checking whether the big white rabbit had been injured by her.

”What are you doing?” Xiao Mo asked.

”Ah!”

Wangxin was startled. The dagger slipped from her hand and fell to the side.

Xiao Mo looked at Wangxin, ”Youʼre trying to kill the rabbit?”

Hearing Xiao Moʼs words, Wangxin lowered her head, her fingers rubbing against each other.

Finally, Wangxin nodded, ”Mm, yes...”

Xiao Mo became even more puzzled, ”Why would you want to kill it for no reason?”

”Because... because I want to practice first...” Wangxin said softly.

”Practice?”

”Yes.”

Wangxin raised her head and looked at Xiao Mo earnestly.

”Last time you asked me whether I would help you kill enemies if people wanted to kill you... I thought about it for a long, long time.

In the end, I figured it out.”

Xiao Mo asked, ”Figured out what?”

Wangxin clenched her small hands tightly, ”If I must commit acts of killing in order to protect you, then I will do it.”

”But Xiao Mo, Iʼve never killed anyone. Iʼm afraid I wonʼt be able to do it when the time comes... so... so...”

As she spoke, Wangxin lowered her eyes again.

”So you decided to practice with this rabbit first?” Xiao Mo said helplessly. ”When you asked me for a dagger earlier, it was also for this?”

”Yes, but after a whole night has passed, I still canʼt kill this bunny...” Wangxinʼs lowered head was almost buried in her chest. ”Xiao Mo, am I very useless...”

”Sigh, this kind of thing has nothing to do with whether youʼre useful or not.”

Xiao Mo sighed and looked at that innocent rabbit.

”Youʼre kindhearted by nature. When you raised your dagger, even the rabbit didnʼt believe you would kill it. It didnʼt even try to dodge, which shows thereʼs not a trace of killing intent in your heart. And when a person has no killing intent, how could they commit the precept of killing?”

”I, I...” Wangxin looked earnestly at Xiao Moʼs eyes. ”Give me some time. Iʼll work hard at it!”

”Work hard?” Xiao Mo looked directly into her eyes. ”When you truly reach the day when you can ruthlessly strike, your Buddha heart will shatter, your Buddhist path will be completely destroyed, and you wonʼt even be able to be a monk anymore. Is it worth it?”

”Itʼs worth it.”

Wangxinʼs clear eyes reflected Xiao Moʼs figure.

”If itʼs for your sake, then I wonʼt be a monk anymore.”
