We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 45: Will He Marry Me?

In the courtyard, Little Green let out a satisfied burp.

Just moments ago, Little Green had indulged her appetite to the fullest.

Over a dozen mice from the nearby area had all been swallowed whole by Little Green in one gulp.

Just as Little Green was full and satisfied, ready to go sleep comfortably, suddenly, Little Green saw her older sister running back from the night.

”Sister, you...”

”Little Green, Iʼm going to sleep!”

Before Little Green could finish speaking, Bai Ruxue ran into the room as if fleeing, leaving Little Green bewildered in the night.

What was wrong with sister?

Speaking of which, where was Big Brother Xiao Mo?

Didnʼt he go to find sister?
Little Green waited in the courtyard. After about half an incense stickʼs worth of time, Xiao Mo finally returned.

Little Green hurriedly ran forward, ”Big Brother Xiao Mo, what happened to sister? Did something happen between you and sister?”

”Emmm,” Xiao Mo thought for a moment, ”Your sister and I did indeed have something happen, but itʼs nothing serious. Ruxue is actually fine in every way, you donʼt need to worry.”

”Alright.”

Since Big Brother Xiao Mo said so, then sister should be fine.

”Rest early, Iʼll go back to my room first,” Xiao Mo said to Little Green.

Little Green nodded, ”Big Brother Xiao Mo should also rest early.”

”I said it out loud, I really said it out loud!”

Bai Ruxue lay on the bed, her ankles stretched straight, her well-proportioned calves continuously kicking up and down against the bedding.

She pressed the pillow tightly over her head, with only a pair of peach blossom eyes exposed.

”I noticed that I think Iʼve fallen in love with you.”

Recalling the words she had just said to Xiao Mo, Bai Ruxue felt so embarrassed again that her fair little legs kicked against the blanket even faster.

After a long while, the shyness in her heart gradually faded, and Bai Ruxue slowly regained her composure.

”Wait... why was I so embarrassed? And why did I run down the mountain?”

After calming down a bit, Bai Ruxue realized that she seemed to have done something wrong.

At that time, after saying those words, she felt so embarrassed in her heart that she just wanted to quickly run down the mountain but actually, she had no need to be embarrassed.

Like means like, donʼt like means donʼt like.

I just like Xiao Mo.

I just spoke out the feelings in my heart.

I didnʼt even wait for Xiao Moʼs reply and just ran down the mountain directly.

”Really, why did I run?”

Bai Ruxue continued to bury her head in the pillow, feeling somewhat annoyed in her heart.

After being annoyed for a while, Bai Ruxue turned over and lay on her back on the bed.

She looked at the ceiling, hugging the pillow in her arms, her thoughts in turmoil.

Does Xiao Mo like me?

He should like me, right?

Last time he already said that when I understood what true liking was, he would marry me.

This should be true liking, right?

So will he marry me?

Do the words he said back then still count?

The more she thought about it, the more anxious Bai Ruxueʼs heart became.

She wanted to go find Xiao Mo, but didnʼt dare to ask.

In her heart, she looked forward to the answer, yet also feared the answer.

”So annoying, so annoying, so annoying!” Bai Ruxue rolled back and forth on the bed like a rolling pin, ”I wasnʼt like this before!”

”Sister, whatʼs wrong with you?”

When Little Green walked into the room, she found her older sister continuously rolling around on the bed.

”Little Green...”

Bai Ruxue hugged the pillow and sat on the bed like a duck, her peach blossom eyes wavering.

”I feel like Iʼve become unlike myself. What should I do?”

In the room, Xiao Mo lit a candle and read by its light.

Previously, when Xiao Mo read at night, he needed to rely on moonlight. When the moonlight wasnʼt good, he couldnʼt read at night but after becoming the county graduate, Xiao Mo no longer needed to do this.

Now, even if Ruxue didnʼt raise silkworms or catch wild chickens and rabbits, Xiao Mo wouldnʼt lack silver.

However, Ruxue still continued raising silkworms and occasionally caught wild chickens and rabbits to sell, saying that earning a bit more money was still earning money.

After a quarter-hour, Xiao Mo put down the book in his hands.

He felt that he couldnʼt concentrate on reading.

All he could think about in his mind was Ruxueʼs figure.

Xiao Mo indeed hadnʼt expected that Ruxue would say such words.

Although Ruxue had said ”I like you” before but Xiao Mo knew this time was completely different.

Ruxueʼs feelings for him were truly romantic love between a man and woman.

Xiao Mo had been stunned at the time and hadnʼt had time to answer Ruxue when she ran away.

”This girl,” Xiao Mo smiled and shook his head, gently blowing out the candle.

It seemed that tomorrow, he needed to make a trip to town.

He couldnʼt let someone wait too long.

The next morning, Xiao Mo woke up and walked to the courtyard.

Originally, Bai Ruxue was wiping the table, but upon seeing Xiao Mo, the woman immediately hurried into the kitchen like a startled little bird.

During breakfast, Bai Ruxue didnʼt say a single word and didnʼt dare look at Xiao Mo.

Whenever Xiao Mo moved slightly closer to Bai Ruxue, she would shyly hurry away.

Little Green felt that something must have happened between sister and Big Brother Xiao Mo. The atmosphere between the two had an indescribable strangeness.

”No! I canʼt continue like this!”

In the afternoon, Bai Ruxue patted her little face.

She felt she couldnʼt keep avoiding Xiao Mo, and in her heart, she also wanted to know Xiao Moʼs answer.

It was just that Bai Ruxue was too embarrassed to actively ask.

So in the afternoon, Bai Ruxue gathered her courage to clean the courtyard and actively approach Xiao Mo but Xiao Mo was like nothing had happened, as if yesterdayʼs events had never occurred at all. He just looked at the book in his hands.

Seeing Xiao Moʼs calm appearance, Bai Ruxue puffed up her tender cheeks, feeling a little angry in her heart.

Bai Ruxue continued walking back and forth around Xiao Mo, trying to attract his attention but Xiao Mo still had no reaction. Bai Ruxue even suspected whether Xiao Mo had lost his memory of last night.

”Stinky Xiao Mo, stinky Xiao Mo! People said those kinds of words last night, yet today you act like nothing happened. Although I was the one who ran away last night, you could still respond to me now!

Stinky Xiao Mo! You clearly said you would marry me, but now you donʼt say a single word! Stinky egg, stinky egg! Iʼll never pay attention to you again! Big stinky egg!”

In the room, Bai Ruxueʼs round and full legs clamped around the pillow, then she raised her small fists and pounded it again and again, as if she were pounding Xiao Moʼs chest.

”Sister... are you alright?” Little Green walked into the room and saw sister bullying the pillow, feeling like the cotton stuffing was about to be beaten out by sister.

”Iʼm fine!” Bai Ruxue huffily pouted her small mouth, her chest rising and falling dramatically, ”Is stinky Xiao Mo still reading?”

”No,” Little Green shook her head, ”Big Brother Xiao Mo went out.”

”Eh? He went out?” Bai Ruxue blinked, ”Where did stinky Xiao Mo go?”

”He went to Qingshan Town.” Little Green said.

”Big Brother Xiao Mo said he went to get something made, told sister not to worry, and that heʼll be back in a couple of days.”
