We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 31: Xiao Mo! Iʼve Figured It Out!

”Big liar!”

”Iʼll never play with you again!”

”Big liar!”

”Stinky liar!”

”Liar, liar!”

Bai Ruxue ran forward while reaching out her small hand to wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes.

After running for who knows how long, Bai Ruxue finally stopped.

Looking back, Xiao Mo had already been left far behind by her.

”Xiao Mo! You big liar!”

Bai Ruxue shouted toward the path she had come from, then turned and ran toward her cave.
Outside the cave by a small pond, a little girl wearing a green short jacket was looking at herself in the water with satisfaction.

The little girl had two braided pigtails and a round little face that was fair and tender like a freshly peeled egg, showing a healthy faint blush as if touched with the lightest rouge.

Under a pair of curved eyebrows were embedded two round, bright almond-shaped eyes, clear to the bottom, with long eyelashes like dewdrop-covered butterfly antennae that fluttered. The slightly upturned eye corners carried hints of tender green like grass color.

Her small nose was slightly upturned, with a round and adorable tip.

Her petal-like lips were naturally pink, currently slightly pursed, showing two shallow dimples like small hollows filled with honey.

The little girl was Little Green.

This morning, Little Green had also awakened.

Seeing that her sister wasnʼt beside her, only her sisterʼs shed skin, Little Green didnʼt mind.

She thought her sister must have gone to find that human man again.

After all, her sister had said that the man called Xiao Mo would return when spring arrived.

”When sister comes back and sees that I can transform, sheʼll definitely be startled, right? And I should be about as tall as sister, right?”

Little Green spun around in her green skirt, very satisfied with her human form.

Just as Little Green was admiring her human shape, footsteps could be heard in the distance.

Looking up, Little Green saw a young woman walking toward her.

Little Green didnʼt recognize her at first, but looking carefully, those distinctive peach blossom eyes were obviously her sisterʼs.

After shedding her skin, sister had grown so much. She was now an adult human woman but that made sense, sister had been cultivating for over thirty years.

By human age, she should have had several children by now.

Itʼs just that snake clans who embark on the cultivation path develop more slowly physically before transformation.

After transformation, it becomes much faster.

Sister had long been able to transform, and after experiencing this molting, becoming a young woman was normal.

”Sister...” Little Green stood on her tiptoes, happily waving her hand.

Hearing her younger sisterʼs voice, Bai Ruxue raised her head.

Seeing her sisterʼs tearful, dispirited appearance, Little Green was startled and quickly ran over, ”Sister, whatʼs wrong? Who bullied you! Iʼll bite them to death!”

”No... no one bullied sister,” Bai Ruxue pretended nothing was wrong, ”By the way, Little Green, you can transform too. How cute.”

”Sister, whether I can transform isnʼt important.” Little Green tightly gripped her sisterʼs fair wrist, ”Did that Xiao Mo make sister angry?”

Bai Ruxue lowered her head.

”It really was him!” Little Green clenched her small fist hatefully, ”Iʼll go bite him right now!”

”Little Green... donʼt...” Bai Ruxue grabbed Little Greenʼs hand, ”Youʼre a venomous snake. If you bite people, heʼll die.”

”Donʼt worry sister, Iʼll control the amount of venom. At most, Iʼll make him lie in bed for two days.”

”That wonʼt work either. Heʼll be very uncomfortable.”

”But sister...” Little Green was on the verge of tears, ”He bullied you.”

Bai Ruxue: ”...”

”Sister, what exactly happened?” Little Green asked worriedly, thinking that perhaps sisterʼs identity had been discovered and he had asked people to come exorcise demons.

”He said he needs to go out to study, and he doesnʼt need to collect herbs anymore either. Heʼll rarely come up the mountain in the future,” Bai Ruxue said quietly.

”Thatʼs all?” Little Green blinked, her eyes even carrying some joy, ”Isnʼt this a good thing? Humans and demons follow different paths. Wouldnʼt it be better if he doesnʼt come to She Mountain anymore?”

”Little Green!” Bai Ruxue pouted, ”Sister wonʼt pay attention to you anymore!”

Bai Ruxue transformed back to her original form and crawled into the cave, hiding under the stone inside to feel sad alone.

Little Green also changed to her original form and crawled over, staying beside her sister.

Actually, Little Green was quite happy that her sister would no longer see that man but seeing her sister so sad, Little Green became unhappy too.

”Eh? Iʼve got it!”

Just as Little Green was thinking about how to comfort her sister, Bai Ruxue raised her snake head.

”The book says it well: trees are dead, but snakes are alive. If heʼs going to study and rarely come up the mountain, then Iʼll just follow him down the mountain, right?”

Bai Ruxue transformed and ran out of the cave, her voice carrying into the cave from behind the young woman.

”Little Green, you donʼt need to prepare my mice for tonightʼs dinner.”

”Sister...”

Little Green called out at the cave entrance, feeling somewhat sad and wronged in her heart.

Sister, if you go with that human, what about me?

Iʼm your younger sister...

Bai Ruxue ran through the forest toward the flower field from before.

Bai Ruxue ran faster and faster.

”Ah!”

After being tripped by tree branches, the young woman got up and continued running.

When she reached the flower field, the young woman breathed a sigh of relief and patted her chest.

”Good, heʼs still here.”

But Bai Ruxue remembered the angry words she had said to Xiao Mo not long ago and felt too embarrassed to see him.

While Bai Ruxue was feeling extremely conflicted, Xiao Mo turned around and happened to look in Bai Ruxueʼs direction.

Bai Ruxue was startled, shrank her shoulders, and quickly hid behind a tree.

”Miss Bai,” Xiao Mo called out.

Bai Ruxue put her hands behind her back, fingers tightly clenched, and walked out with her head lowered, like a little girl who had done something wrong and was seeking forgiveness.

”You... you havenʼt left yet...” Bai Ruxue said softly.

Xiao Mo shook his head, ”This humble student made Miss Bai angry and cannot leave with peace of mind.”

”...” Bai Ruxue lowered her head, her fair fingers constantly fidgeting.

”Xiao Mo! I... Iʼve figured it out!”

Finally, Bai Ruxue gathered her courage, raised her head, and looked directly into Xiao Moʼs eyes.

”What?” Xiao Mo asked.

”I want to go down the mountain with you!”

Xiao Mo: ”...”

”Is... is that not okay?” Bai Ruxue lowered her head, her eyes once again clouded with disappointment.

”Of course itʼs okay, but Miss Bai, do your parents have any objections?”

”My parents are long gone. My younger sister Little Green and I depend on each other, but my sister will be fine. Sheʼs much better at catching mice than I am, so she wonʼt go hungry.”

”Catching mice?”

”Eh? What catching mice? Did I say that?”

”I must have heard wrong.”

”Then itʼs settled.” The young womanʼs eyes curved into crescents. She stepped forward, grabbed Xiao Moʼs large hand, and placed a crystal-clear silvery-white scale in Xiao Moʼs palm.

”Miss, what is this?”

”This is a snake scale I found.”

The young woman raised her head, looked directly into his eyes, and said seriously,

”I know Iʼm very stupid, prone to making mistakes... and very annoying.

But Xiao Mo, you can scold me, you can hit me, but you canʼt drive me away.

If one day you really canʼt stand it anymore, just put this snake scale under my pillow.

The next day, Iʼll pretend I donʼt know anything and secretly leave.

Is that okay?”
