My attributes are increasing infinitely

Chapter 471: Power scale of this world is crazy

”World of Elysium, huh?” Ethan murmured softly.

The words left his lips as he looked out over the unfamiliar landscape. The sky above him shimmered with a faint silver glow, as if countless invisible threads were woven through the air. Mountains rose in the far distance like ancient guardians, and forests stretched endlessly across the horizon. Everything felt stable. Too stable.

Ethan could feel it immediately.

The space of this world was heavy.

”Yumiko,” he called calmly, ”have you connected with the system of this world?”

There was a brief pause before the familiar voice echoed inside his mind.

[No, Master. I cannot connect to it yet.]

Ethan frowned slightly.

”Why not?”

[The system of this world runs on the Broken Law of Infinity. However, the scale of that system is far beyond my current authority. It is actively blocking me from forming any kind of contract with it.]

Ethan’s brows knitted together.

”What do you mean?”

Yumiko answered patiently.

[There are only two possible options right now.]

[The first option is that you connect directly with the world system yourself. But if you do that, there is a high probability that my existence will be erased during the synchronization process.]

Ethan’s expression turned cold immediately.

”That option is rejected.”

There was no hesitation in his voice.

Yumiko continued.

[The second option is to make the world system recognize me as an ally instead of an intruder.]

Ethan crossed his arms thoughtfully.

”And how exactly do we do that?”

[You need to expand your Law Strand to a length of one hundred kilometers.]

Ethan blinked.

”One hundred kilometers?”

[Yes.]

Yumiko explained calmly.

[Once your Law Strand reaches that length, I will gain enough authority to negotiate with the world system. At that point, I can sacrifice the entire hundred kilometer strand as a bargaining chip.]

[After that sacrifice, the system will recognize me as part of its internal structure. I will reboot within the world system and integrate myself into its functions.]

Ethan let out a slow breath.

”So basically we bribe the system.”

[That is a simple but accurate description.]

He rubbed his chin while thinking.

”And what exactly will I gain from this?”

[Once I integrate into the system, I will be able to assist you directly. The world rules will no longer suppress your abilities as harshly.]

Yumiko paused for a moment before adding another detail.

[Also, when the time comes, you will have to choose which element to double daily. Doubling your physique or spirit will not benefit you much in this world.]

Ethan nodded slightly.

”I see.”

He lowered his gaze and began calculating.

”My Law Strand is currently around thirty kilometers long.”

His clone was still inside the trial realm.

”If my clone completes the trial successfully, it should obtain around one hundred million units of divine energy.”

Ethan mentally converted the number.

”That would increase my Law Strand by about fifty kilometers.”

He narrowed his eyes.

”That still leaves twenty kilometers short.”

After a moment of silence, he asked another question.

”Is there any faster method to extend the Law Strand?”

Yumiko responded instantly.

[Yes.]

[You can gain faith from the people of this world.]

Ethan raised an eyebrow.

”Faith?”

”Are you suggesting I start some kind of church?”

Yumiko immediately rejected the idea.

[Absolutely not.]

[If you openly play the role of a god in this world, you will likely be hunted down and killed very quickly.]

Ethan gave a dry chuckle.

”Good to know.”

Yumiko continued.

[Instead, simply help people.]

[There are countless individuals in this world who are not connected to the world system. They remain permanently stuck at Level 1.]

[If you assist them and improve their lives, some of them may develop genuine faith in you. That faith can be converted into divine energy.]

Ethan listened quietly.

Then something occurred to him.

”Wait.”

”How do you know all of this?”

His voice carried genuine curiosity.

”Didn’t you just say you couldn’t connect to the system?”

Yumiko answered calmly.

[Correct.]

[However, the world system here is based on a broken version of the Infinity Law.]

[My source code is connected directly to you, and you possess the true Infinity.]

[Because of that connection, I can obtain fragments of low level information from the surrounding laws.]

Ethan nodded slowly.

”That explains it.”

He looked out at the strange forest again.

”Then according to your logic...”

He narrowed his eyes slightly.

”Level 1 beings in this world should technically be Absolute Continuum entities.”

”In the outside universe, that level would already qualify someone as a godlike existence.”

”So what kind of help would they even need from me?”

Yumiko’s answer was simple.

[That is very easy to demonstrate.]

[Try using an annihilation type skill at your full power.]

Ethan blinked.

”You’re serious?”

He looked around.

”If I start destroying things right after arriving here, won’t I get some kind of villain tag?”

Yumiko remained calm.

[Just try it.]

[You will understand the situation immediately.]

Ethan sighed.

”Fine.”

”Let’s test it.”

He extended his hand, and a weapon materialized instantly.

The Sword of Infinity.

Its blade shimmered with a faint cosmic glow.

Ethan raised the sword slowly.

Then he swung.

”Extinction Sword Technique.”

The slash cut through the air with terrifying precision.

In his original universe, this single attack could erase entire timeliens from existence. Space, time, matter, and energy would all collapse into nothingness under its force.

With Ethan’s current power with the sword, his combat strength had reached Grade 3 Absolute Continuum Level.

That meant he could erase almost anything that existed within a lower dimensional plane.

Or at least that was what should have happened.

The sword energy struck a nearby tree.

A deep sound echoed through the forest.

Then silence returned.

Ethan stared.

The tree was still standing.

A long cut had appeared across its trunk, but that was all.

Nothing else happened.

The tree did not collapse.

The surrounding space remained completely stable.

There was no spatial distortion.

No dimensional collapse.

Just a cut.

Ethan’s eyes widened.

”Are you serious?”

He turned quickly and targeted a large stone boulder nearby.

”Let’s try again.”

The sword flashed.

Another slash landed.

The blade struck the stone with tremendous force.

A sharp sound rang out.

Then everything became quiet again.

Ethan stepped closer to inspect the result.

The boulder had a thin scratch on its surface.

Just a scratch.

Nothing more.

For several seconds Ethan simply stared at the rock.

Then he muttered under his breath.

”What the hell is going on?”

He looked around the forest carefully.

”Did everything in this world become ridiculously strong?”

”Or did I suddenly become weak?”

Yumiko finally explained.

[Neither.]

[The space and time structure of this world is extremely powerful.]

[Every fundamental element here has a stability level far beyond what you are used to.]

[Because of that, most of your destructive abilities are heavily suppressed.]

Ethan listened quietly.

Yumiko continued.

[Outside this world, your current power level would classify you as a high tier Absolute Continuum entity.]

[However, inside this world, your effective combat strength is roughly equivalent to a Level 2 individual.]

Ethan blinked slowly.

”Level 2?”

Yumiko confirmed.

[Yes.]

[Your abilities are being compressed by the world’s dimensional pressure.]

Ethan let out a long breath.

”So that means...”

Yumiko finished the thought.

[The Level 1 beings here are similar to ordinary civilians from the outside universe.]

[If they left this world, they would instantly become godlike existences.]

[It is similar to how a fourth dimensional entity would appear omnipotent inside a purely three dimensional space.]

[But within this world’s environment, they are simply normal people.]

Ethan finally understood.

”This world’s scale of power is insane.”

He sheathed the Sword of Infinity.

The forest around him suddenly felt very different.

Earlier he had believed he entered this world as a near unstoppable being.

Now he realized something important.

Here, he was barely above average.

After thinking for a moment, Ethan asked calmly,

”Alright.”

”So what should I do next?”

Yumiko answered immediately.

[You should join a guild.]

Ethan tilted his head slightly.

”A guild?”

[Yes.]

[Guilds are the central organizations of this world.]

[They distribute missions, provide training, and record information about the system.]

[If you want to understand the rules of this world quickly, joining one will be the most efficient option.]

Ethan looked toward the distant mountains.

A faint smile slowly appeared on his face.

”Alright then.”

”Let’s go see how this crazy world works.”
