My attributes are increasing infinitely

Chapter 456: 2nd reincarnation

Ethan did not interfere in the affairs of the God Child anymore.

There was no benefit in wasting effort on something that did not move him closer to the divine fruit. He simply left to search for his next target.

....

Two months later, he stood within the main hall of the sect he had established through the saint.

The hall was vast and newly constructed, forged from spirit stone and reinforced with layered formations. Rows of elders stood in disciplined silence. At the center, the saint was kneeling.

”My lord, the sect is fully functional now. We have one hundred and fifty Weapon Lords serving as elders. The outer and inner courts are established. We are prepared to begin full operations,” the saint said, his head was lowered.

Ethan did not respond immediately. His gaze shifted inward.

[Combat Prowess: Tier 17]

The panel hovered before his consciousness.

Tier seventeen was equivalent to the Immortal King Realm within the Immortal World. There were ancient loose immortals whose strength surpassed that threshold, relics of earlier eras who had never ascended further. Ethan was aware of them, but he had no intention of wasting time hunting creatures who hid in forgotten mountains. It would be more efficient to ascend to the Immortal Realm itself and confront opponents who could truly sharpen his growth.

He looked at the saint.

”Alright. I am going to challenge the entire mortal realm. Go and declare it. They should attend the sect’s opening ceremony and challenge me directly. If they refuse, I will find them myself. That will not be peaceful.”

The saint swallowed. He had fought his entire life to defend the dignity of mortals against the tyranny of immortals. Now he stood behind a being who was practically divine. Tears formed in his eyes, but his voice remained steady.

”Yes, Your Highness. I will carry out your will.”

Ethan exhaled slowly after the saint departed.

He still had no idea where the divine fruit was hidden.

....

Ten days later, Ethan floated high above the sect grounds.

He stood upon a sword that hovered in the air. As a mortal, he could not defy gravity through innate flight. The sword served as his platform.

Below him stretched a sea of disciples. One million mortals filled the valley, their robes forming a vast field of color. Their eyes were fixed on him with reverence.

In ten days, he had gathered one million disciples. However, reverence was not loyalty. If he wanted them to become true subordinates, he would need to demonstrate something undeniable.

In the sky before him stood one hundred Spirit Masters.

To the disciples, these figures were legends. In truth, they were loose immortals who had chosen to remain within the mortal realm instead of ascending. This bunch were the most powerful beings of the mortal realm.

The loose immortals exchanged glances.

”I do not believe this man,” one said quietly. ”I came here to force Ye Qin to appear. He is a threat to our clans. I intended to kill him here.”

”Correct. But who is this sect master? I heard he is merely a blacksmith who forges astonishing artifacts. How did Ye Qin pledge loyalty to such a person?”

They murmured among themselves.

Ethan’s voice cut through the sky.

”I want all of you to attack me together. I do not have time.”

One of the immortals stepped forward, his aura erupted.

”What arrogance. How dare a mere blacksmith address us like this?”

Ethan looked at him calmly.

He raised his right hand and made a slight grasping motion.

The immortal’s expression froze.

In an instant, he lost control of his body. Invisible force wrapped around him. He was dragged forward through the air like a puppet pulled by unseen strings.

Ethan caught him by the throat.

”Do not speak. Just obey,” Ethan said coldly. ”You are insignificant.”

Then he threw him aside as though discarding debris.

The disciples below erupted. Their veins surged with excitement. They roared until the valley trembled.

The remaining immortals were furious.

”You attacked before the battle even began. How shameless,” they shouted as they lunged forward.

Ethan waved his hand.

Space itself seemed to tighten.

Ninety nine immortals were slammed to the ground simultaneously. The air compressed around them like a mountain. No matter how they struggled, they could not move.

Silence spread.

Ethan’s voice carried across the entire realm.

”I do not desire eternal war between mortals and immortals. From this day forward, the Mortal World and the Immortal World will become separate regions. No immortal will enter the mortal domain. No mortal will trespass into the immortal domain.”

He paused briefly.

”The Mortal Sect will oversee the mortal realm from now on.”

There was no negotiation in his tone.

He turned and walked back toward the sect hall.

Across the mortal world, every cultivator heard his words as though spoken beside their ear. His decree carried the weight of law.

Then he manipulated space itself.

He tore at the fabric of the world and created a barrier between realms. Invisible boundaries formed. Pathways that once connected the mortal and immortal territories were severed.

The disciples erupted again.

”Yessss!”

Their roar shook the mountains.

Then a cascade of notifications flooded Ethan’s mind.

[You have gained a loyal subordinate. Ten strands of divine energy are bestowed.]

[You have gained a loyal subordinate. Ten strands of divine energy are bestowed.]

The messages continued, overlapping in waves.

After several minutes, the flood finally stabilized.

[You have gained three million loyal subordinates. Thirty million strands of divine energy are granted.]

Within Ethan’s spiritual sea, the Strand of Infinity began to elongate.

It had once been ten centimeters long.

Now it extended outward at terrifying speed, stretching across fifteen kilometers within moments.

Ethan allowed himself a faint smile.

This was only the beginning. He would ascend to the Immortal Realm next. Then the God Realm. He would establish sects in every plane and harvest divine energy continuously.

He nearly laughed.

At that moment, suddenly the space distorted in front of him.

A fruit appeared.

It resembled an ordinary apple, but faint patterns shimmered beneath its skin. The air around it felt unstable.

[Master...] Yumiko began.

Ethan had already grabbed it out of curiosity.

The instant his fingers touched the fruit, the world shook.

Boom.

A vast voice echoed across existence.

[The divine fruit has been obtained by the individual named Ethan Hunt. The trial of this world is complete. In thirty minutes, all participants will reincarnate to the next floor. Best of luck.]

A second notification followed.

[Ethan Hunt will receive ten million strands of divine energy for completing the trial within one year.]

Across the world, every God Child still in infancy felt the announcement within their souls.

”What is happening?”

”How is this possible?”

”Even the fastest previous record was fifty years. How did he do it?”

They had been strategizing carefully, planning alliances and betrayals. The game had ended before most of them had begun.

In the void beyond the tower, two ancient voices conversed.

”That anomaly is dangerous,” the first said, irritation was evident. ”He cannot cultivate, yet combat against stronger opponents grants him equivalent growth. If allowed to continue, he will destabilize the entire structure.”

The second voice replied, ”What do you propose?”

”Send him to a true mortal world. No true powerful beings would be there. Only ordinary mortals maybe some so called martial artists. Only God Children may cultivate there. He will be forced to wait while they grow. He cannot leave his planet until they become strong enough to challenge him. Let him stagnate.”

A brief silence followed.

”You are correct. Proceed.”

They believed they had deciphered him.

Back within the fading world, Ethan frowned.

”What was that? It appeared without warning. I was only beginning to consolidate my gains.”

He examined the fruit.

”You knew about this, Yumiko?”

[Yes, Master. But this fruit carries something ominous. Do not consume it.]

”Ominous in what way?”

[I cannot determine its source. It feels like a manifestation of something unfathomable. My calculations fail. I sense hostility.]

Ethan narrowed his eyes.

”Are you suggesting the entire tower is ominous?”

[We will know once we uncover its core.]

Thirty minutes passed quickly.

[You are now being reincarnated into the next floor.]

A force gripped his soul. The world dissolved infront of his eyes.

Darkness swallowed him.

Then new information surfaced infront of him.

[Place of Reincarnation: Mortal Universe.]

[Role: You will be born in the slums.]

[Objective: Locate the Axe of Chaos.]

[Difficulty: Hell.]

[Restriction: You cannot cultivate.]

[Condition: If you become the most powerful individual on your planet within one year, you will receive one hundred million strands of divine energy.]

Ethan felt the structure of his existence destabilize as reincarnation took effect.

He cursed.

He could sense it clearly. Someone was manipulating the rules behind the scenes.

They wanted to trap him in weakness.

They wanted him to wait.

His consciousness began to fragment as the reincarnation process deepened.

Even as darkness consumed him, a cold thought remained, those beings were going to get another surprise.
