Chapter 268: Clearing all the battlefields

Ethan was also surprised by what he had done.

Whatever! He slowly stood up.

But those trillions of people who were watching him suddenly felt their knees go numb, and they fell to the ground.

They didn’t know how someone like this existence could appear here, in the Tier 3 battlefield.

Was he an Administrator of the system or something?

But these were all their inner thoughts; no one dared to ask him in person.

Ethan heard the battle system notification.

[You have got 1 trillion EXP. You have got the special privilege to enter and leave any upper-tier battlefield without asking for permission.]

There were 1 quadrillion dark creatures, and he had killed them all.

The battle was ended for the day. The system had a rule that said if the players could kill all the dark creatures from the battlefield, that battlefield could remain empty for two days, and the players could leave the battlefield.

But they would have to return in two days.

As for the normal rule of leaving the battlefield, one had to kill at least 100 monsters.

If a player could kill 100 monsters, they could apply to the system to leave, and the system would allow them to leave in two days if the battlefield was lacking players.

If not, then they could leave instantly.

The Tier 3 battlefield could now remain empty for two days.

Ethan logged out and left. He was now given the special privilege, and he would use it to enter all the battlefields.

Because the amount of EXP required had just become insane at this point.

[Name: Ethan Hunt (Human)

Level: 42

EXP: 0 / 100 Quadrillion]

The system was surely pranking him. He would be lacking monsters at this rate. He would have to wait for two days again.

The system was providing him all the required energy by extracting it from those monsters as well as helping him instantly comprehend the laws for breaking through.

But his own system didn’t allow any other type of energy in his body, so it was purifying those energies, though it allowed the law comprehension.

So Ethan could break through several times after entering those higher battlefields.

So he did!

He entered the Tier 4 battlefield and saw that the number of players was far less than in Tier 3. It was around 500 billion.

But the monsters were around 10 trillion. The players were struggling for their lives. The dark dimension came fully prepared, and even with the help of the system, it would take a tremendous amount of time to produce that many higher-level players.

Ethan locked onto every one of those monsters and used Eye of Oblivion to kill every single one of them.

Again, that mind-blowing phenomenon was created like before.

The entire battlefield was now cleared. Only silence persisted.

[You have got 1 trillion EXP.]

The EXP conversion had increased significantly—100 times more than before. He got 0.1 EXP for each kill.

Those galactic-level players were now in utter horror.

They were looking at Ethan with absolute reverence.

Ethan left this battlefield too.

He was just massacring all the battlefields and was creating a legend.

The amount of EXP he was gaining increased as he started killing in the higher-tier battlefields.

After clearing up to Tier 10, he leveled up three times.

But he continued the process, and by the time he arrived at Tier 14, he reached Level 50—the peak of the Galactic Realm, meaning Level 9 Galactic Realm.

His power was now increased to 78,125 times.

[Master: Ethan Hunt

Physique: 136,719 Paradox Domain

Spirit: 136,719 Paradox Domain

Talent: Infinite Comprehension]

He had already surpassed the power of a Tier 20 existence.

Tier 21 would need 100 billion Paradox Domains, but that was not far from his reach as he was going to break through to the Galactic Overlord soon.

The Galactic Overlord realm was an increase in the number of galaxies within the body, which was 100 million galaxies.

In this breakthrough, 100 million galaxies of similar size to his main one would be formed, and he would gain a 100 million times boost.

The Galactic Overlord and the Universe Realm were the two highest boosting realms under Tier 22.

After that, the boost would slow down significantly.

So he would also need a huge amount of EXP.

Maybe clearing the Tier 15, 16, 17, and 18 battlefields would give him this boost.

Then he entered the Tier 15 battlefield.

But the battlefield was completely empty. There was not a single entity out there.

”What is going on here? There are no Tier 15 existences in those 100,000 galaxies? That’s not that surprising.”

It had 10 Tier 14 existences, and that was also a surprise to him. It was just one universe, you know.

So having this level of powerful beings in a universe was terrifying.

Just as he entered the battlefield, he saw a countdown going on in the sky.

[2 years]

It meant the barrier could hold this level of entity for two years at most.

So if none of those 10 Tier 14 existences became Tier 15, the battlefield would be overwhelmed with dark creatures, and they would come out into the real world.

But now that Ethan had entered the battlefield, he heard a notification.

[Do you want to start the battle now or wait for 2 years?]

”Of course now.”

Who the heck would wait for that long? Not him, at least.

[Be prepared. The barrier is about to be opened.]

And thousands of monsters started gushing out from the barrier.

They were all Tier 15 existences.

So Ethan didn’t use Oblivion this time because he was going to use Shadow Monarch on them.

If he used Oblivion, then there wouldn’t be anything left for him to use his talent on.

He created two short swords in his hands and suppressed his power to their level.

Then he rushed toward them.

He was going to enjoy these fights.

”Come on, you ugly freaks.”

Boom!

Ethan vanished and appeared among the horde of monsters, slicing them like chickens.

After five hours, he finally killed all the monsters. There were 54,172 monsters.

”Arise.”

Instantly, he got an army of over 50,000 who were all Tier 15. Though they looked ugly, it didn’t matter.

Until now, he only had Hagoromo under him, who was Tier 15, but now the number had changed.

Then he appeared in the Tier 16 battlefield. It was also like before—not a single creature was present there.

[5 years]

It had a five-year time limit.

Ethan again started the battle and massacred all the monsters.

This time, there were only around 9,000 monsters, and he used Shadow Monarch on them too.

Now Nexus wasn’t the only Tier 16 under him.

But Ethan had a soft spot for Nexus, and he was thinking of making him stronger soon.

He cleared the Tier 17 battlefield too and got 513 shadow army members of Tier 17.

Now the only battlefield left was Tier 18. The night was about to end, so Ethan thought he should enter Tier 18 later. He wanted to take some rest. But before that, he wanted to see how much time remained.

So he entered there and found that the battlefield was not empty. There was someone there, but the dude was just looking at the timer and doing nothing.
