Chapter 250: Presence of a supreme entity

”Danger? What kinds of dangers?” Ethan asked curiously.

”You saw that demon, right? That was a werewolf. There are other types of monsters roaming the world. The job of demon hunters is to maintain the balance between natural and supernatural.”

Ethan rolled his eyes. ”Is there a written law or something? I mean, why didn’t we ever see a monster on camera or someone like you through satellite? Your movement while fighting is flashy, you know? It should have been easier to capture you on camera.”

Ryo became smug.

”Thanks for the praise. As for not seeing any supernaturals, it is because the world is controlled by us supernaturals. So of course, what would be shown and what not is totally our decision. And we are not the only supernaturals in the world. There are other forms of powers like cultivators, but they are even rarer.

Now do you want to learn?”

”I do want to learn, but I won’t leave my parents’ side. You will have to teach me during school hours, and you will have to arrange someone like me to attend the school so the school doesn’t call my mother because of my absence,” Ethan replied calmly.

Ryo instantly agreed.

”Okay, everything will be done. Let’s begin our session today.”

Ethan nodded.

Ryo then started explaining how it worked.

”Every human has a hidden element in their body. Like earth, water, fire, wind, etc.”

Ethan was surprised.

”It is not like chosen one or something ? But everyone has an element?”

Ryo laughed out.

”I see, you have read fantasy novels or something. No, there is no chosen one in the elemental perspective. Though the cultivators have chosen ones, only those could cultivate.”

Ethan didn’t say anything else.

Ryo gave him a full lesson about how to use the breathing method. But for that one would have to determine their innate element.

Ryo took out a transparent globe from his yukata.

It was the size of an adult man’s fist.

He looked at Ethan and said, ”Give me a drop of your blood and put it here.”

Ethan appraised the globe.

[Name: Elemental Globe

Function: To determine the innate element by using the Law of Karma.]

This type of object normally used the Law of Karma to function. But Ethan wanted to know where they got this object. Who made them? Who could use the Law of Karma on Earth? Or were there aliens present here?

He took out a drop of blood and put it on the globe. His blood contained too many laws right now, especially the Law of Chaos. He didn’t think this little thing could determine all those at once. So he removed other laws from the blood and kept only the Law of Lightning.

As soon as his blood touched the globe, the transparent globe turned purple.

”Boy, you have the rare lightning elemental affinity. Would you like to follow me to the headquarters to get your breathing method or would you wait for tomorrow? I don’t have that method with me right now.”

Ethan asked after thinking a little, ”Can you bring me all the elemental breathing methods? Or is there a rule that one person can only have his own and nothing else?”

Ryo thought for a bit. ”I guess I can give you all. But what do you want to do with all?”

Ethan just waved his hand. ”I just want to take a look, that’s all.”

Ryo vanished in the woods after saying that he would bring a substitute Ethan tomorrow.

Ethan also vanished from his place and appeared on the school roof.

But then he saw a young man sitting in the shadow and drawing something.

Ethan went to him and looked at his drawing.

He drew a monster. But Ethan knew what this monster was.

It was a human eating blood and a human eating a corpse beside it.

A vampire and a ghoul probably. So he asked the boy, ”Do you like vampire movies?”

The boy almost jumped up. He hid his drawing book instantly.

Then tried to laugh awkwardly. ”Ye...s. And who are you?”

Ethan saw the terrified look on the boy’s face. Did he see this scene with his own eyes? What the heck? When he was on Earth with his main body, there were no supernatural incidents, even after looking on the internet, in newspapers and other sources. Even if there were some stories, most of them were fake, and now he was meeting them like they were so common here.

Ethan didn’t ask him any questions and said, ”I am Ethan and a new student of this school. Who are you?”

The boy replied, ”I am Akito.”

After giving him the introduction, he ran away.

Ethan also went down and directly went to the library.

Till the school ended, he stayed there. After that he went to the middle school to take Erina.

When he appeared there, he saw Erina talking to a boy. The boy was around her age and extremely handsome. He was using an umbrella. There was also a black car parked there.

A handsome middle-aged man and a woman were looking at Erina and that boy with great interest in their eyes.

Ethan’s eyes turned cold. They were vampires. So these supernaturals were always blended with them but they never knew. Ethan could tell them apart because he was strong.

He stepped forward and asked, ”Erina, who might this young man be?”

Erina said happily, ”Brother, he is Adward and those are his parents.”

Ethan greeted them.

The man said, ”Your sister is such a nice girl. Why don’t you allow her to sometimes come to our home? We live not far away.”

Ethan said, ”Thanks for the offer but our mother wouldn’t allow that.”

After saying that, Ethan took Erina away.

When they left, Adward licked his lips.

”Dad, I feel the urge to drink her blood so badly. What should I do?”

His father said with a smile, ”Even I want to drink. But be patient. Her elder brother would be a hindrance. We will have to neutralize him before we can drink her blood.”

Adward nodded.

This all happened because Erina’s finger was cut during the lunch break and a drop of blood fell on the ground. From there, this vampire family almost went crazy to have her blood.

Ethan heard their conversation and his eyes turned cold. ”I hope you have a nice journey.”

Anna also came in the meantime to pick them up.

She asked them if they had fun or not. Erina was very excited to report her first day at school.

Ethan only said, ”It was not bad.”

Though Anna wasn’t happy about this vague answer, she didn’t force him.

They left the school ground. But Ethan saw those vampires were following them.

Ethan took out his phone and messaged Ryo,

”A vampire family is following us.”

And after only 10 minutes, three people appeared in front of the vampire car and they could not follow them anymore.

Those were demon slayers.

”System, why are there so many types of supernatural beings here? And why are they concealing their presence from normal people?”

[Master, there is a supreme entity on Earth who is even stronger than you right now. He is the ruler of everything on Earth. It is by his order the supernatural had to conceal their identity.]
